Heavenly Opposers-Chapter 267 - 266-Shaken Once Again.
Moments before the match started:
"You will take a fall in this, Queen Mother."
The voice had a certain sarcasm and a sense of disgust as it flowed into Hera’s mind while she sat in front of the virtual screen, the scheme of DeathMark and Fiery_Clash facing each other being seen as the message from Apollo fell into her ears, her eyes narrowing a bit at that arrogance as Hera sent forth a reply.
"We will see at the end of victory, shall we?"
Her confidence was unshaken as she sent the message, her gaze focusing on the scene in front of her, the interest in her eyes keen as the reply from Apollo came.

"Fools that have chased the sun have only been burned by it, never to fly again."
Those words flashed a certain gleam in Hera’s eyes as her reply was quick.
"We shall see who the fool is real quick."
With that, the reply stopped as Hera focused on the fight in front of her. She understood better than others that many of the powerful were placing their eyes on this match, and if lost, her whole reputation might fall into the gutter along with the reputation of her faction. Those vultures out there would make sure of it.
’You better entertain me well DeathMark.’
She could still see the arrogance with which the ant had tried to make a deal with her. If it wasn’t for the situation at hand, she would have crushed him, and she even still has high doubts as to whether he was sent in by some kind of enemy to lower her guard and take her down. The years of fearing the prophecy’s ruin had made her very doubtful of everything around her.
If it wasn’t for the contract, which stipulated towards the truth and proved a sense of his side towards her, Hera would have never allowed this to happen, and above that, this being a test towards this ant who dreams so high to match along with her. Even Hera understands that the situation and match itself are not fair.
But if he so wishes to fight against the prophecy and powers for her, he must at least be able to get over this to even earn a bit of her trust. Thus, swirling the red wine in her hand as she took a drink from it, she gazed at the screen, anticipating what was going to happen.
’Show me what you can do, ant.’
And DeathMark indeed showed her what he could do.

’What in Titan’s name is this?!’
Hera’s eyes widened, the glass in which the wine was held falling to the ground. Heck, the sip she had taken before even tumbled down from her lips as she watched the domain in front of her, her body flashing with a certain goosebumps from what she saw and a flash of a certain memory flowed through her mind.
The scenes of stars extinguished, worlds drowned in darkness and death, dead bodies of soldiers standing straight against their comrades, and a single domain that dared to fight against the many and come out winning, standing within that domain, wielding the reaper in his hand while a colossal black obelisk loomed in the sky.
Even the gods feared to face it, that domain that had turned everything upside down that day, the domain of the one that had crawled out from nowhere, the domain of the one bastard child that had set death to its very own beginning as he grew to take the position of the top elders of the Eternal Requiem until he disappeared into one of the greatest legends.
As one who has lived through many things and has seen many things, the fear of what she saw that day, the raw feeling of true death she felt as if that scythe was on her neck, ready to cut all her life, was chilling. The matching feel of the domain that Azrail used to the very one that person used all those centuries ago sent another chill down her spine.
"Domain Field of Eternal Death....."
Hera muttered unconsciously as she leaned further into the screen from her chair. With trembling eyes, Hera turned to look at her arms, goosebumps filling them. To her, the mother queen, one of the most powerful women in the cosmos, is currently having goosebumps from the fear she felt all those years ago.
"Huh..."
That is all she could say as Hera stared at the screen. This was not just the first for Hera, several powerful figures that remember the person who had crawled from death to destroy his own Origin felt the goosebumps of the fear they had felt that day.
The whole room Apollo was in burned into nothingness from the heat. He closed the whole screen, not even watching the fight, for just the gaze he got from the domain. Apollo understood that this fight was over.
"I will have my revenge."
The man fully covered in flames, with none of his own attributes being seen, muttered as he left the match, but even as he did, his own heart tumbled in fear as the very flame he was proud of shifted a bit from fear, its light dimming for just a fraction of a second.
.....
"This is going to be fun....."
Ares, with the moniker of war, muttered with a powerful will in his voice.
.....
"Looks like The Olympians of Eternity will be troubled a lot this time."
Athena, the one that bears the divinity of knowledge vast and powerful, muttered, her true form hidden under certain divine light as she gazed upon the scene. The frantic desire for that power, the knowledge of that domain not being missed by her as her mind ran in overdrive, several ideas passing through her mind, with several plans to bring him either to her side or to his own death.
’Looks like I will have to pay a visit to Queen Mother.’
Athena mused.
.....
"He feels similar to me."
Persephone, the Queen of the Underworld, muttered, she who came upon this to just enjoy the show having her mind rumbled for reasons unknown. She, as the queen of death and one that lived through the towers of life from her mother Demeter, feels a certain sense of kinship with the person she saw.
’A feeling of death having overtaken yet a spark of light that lights the darkness can be felt.’
Persephone’s eyes turned dark for a moment, an intrigue she hadn’t felt in a very long time passing through her mind as the flashes of the past and present started to merge.
"Looks like I will have to make a move after all this time."
.....
"A fierce connection of Death, with markings of life? Interesting..."
Hecate, the Goddess of Magic, Witchcraft, and Crossroads, muttered, her gaze gaining a certain gleam as she looked at the scene in front of her, her own internal intuition screaming for some experiments.
.....
"A man that wields death, yet such a powerful presence of will to live and fight? Did a legacy of that person really exist?"
Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt, Wilderness, and Childbirth, muttered, her wild-like instincts trembling a bit.
...
"What is this fire I feel? Why is it calling me?"
Hestia, the Goddess of the Hearth and Home, muttered, her gaze filled with confusion, while the fear of that man flashed for a moment.
...
"He might be able to complete the plan."
Demeter, the Goddess of Agriculture and Harvest, spoke out as her eyes widened at the scene in front of her, a plan she had scratched off for revenge being renewed as her gaze flashed with a hint of craze.
...
"Guess I will be running a lot now."
Hermes, the God of Travelers, Thieves, and Messenger of the Gods, muttered with a sigh, the man holding his hands together to hold back the fear he had felt when he ran away that time, the one and only time he had felt that his speed wasn’t enough.
It was when he had tried to outrun death.....
