Help! the four Alpha's are obsessed with me.-Chapter 144 Innocent Michael
In a foggy daze, he saw a face, a perfect one that radiated a kind of angelic splendor. The smile he gave him was warm, heavenly, almost like he had been taken to heaven and this was one of its candidates.
He felt a vibration and suddenly, with a pull that made him gasp, he saw himself inside a car. The stranger beside him, the one who was driving, suddenly stopped.
"Easy, easy, calm down. It’s just me." His smile was broad, and he had strawberry blond hair that covered half of his face—the kind that models took after. Gosh, this guy again.
If anything, he could remember he was glad to see this angel, but how did he get here, and in this car? He looked inside of it and grimaced; it was a rickety one with a badly shaped body that curved like it was about to get swallowed by itself soon.
Daniel looked up again and met the guy’s ocean blue eyes; they sparkled like the day he met him, never for one moment dull, despite the terrible thing he found out about him at the end.
"I saw you hanging on the river bank when I came for my fish trap, and what a miracle was it that I saw you." He laughed.
Daniel, who wasn’t seeing anything funny in the conversation, didn’t concur. He just stared around, thinking if he should bolt or just continue with the flow. Right when he was thinking, his stomach growled, and he accepted the decision made by nature; he definitely needed to stick around and eat.
"Something must have happened that made you not to talk," he added, and Daniel couldn’t help but be curious. Doesn’t he have a phone or a device that could update him with the happenings around the world? Because he was sure that he was a trending topic already.
Not only did he get disowned by his family and sold to a brothel—which, by the way, had been uncovered—he made his way to the billionaire tycoon’s hands, which tagged him a gold digger. How ridiculous.
And another funny part was that he wasn’t the real son of the Lancaster family and was a pregnant omega man. He didn’t know whether to be happy that those despicable people weren’t his family or to cry that he had been living a lie for the past 20 years. Well, that wasn’t actually a life, but still, it was built on a lie.
"Still not talking? Fine, I will take you to my place and we would set you down to eat; you must be starving," he added, and Daniel couldn’t even nod. The shock of everything was still registered in his head, so he couldn’t let himself answer the kind angelic man.
Sighing, the man gave up finally and continued with the drive, leading to an awkward silence. One that was taken off by Daniel himself.
"Michael Lewis, right...?" he asked, and the man froze and marched on the brake, stunned. How did he know his name? He never remembered introducing himself when they spoke.
"How did you know...?" he asked, that cute face of his forming an adorable look which Daniel himself couldn’t resist, and that was embarrassing for someone of his caliber.
"Let’s say fate do have a weird way of bringing two different souls together, and see you here when I’m in dire need of it," Daniel exclaimed.
Michael could see him getting emotional at any minute to come, so he didn’t push it, just let him be before he crumbles that moment. He stirred the wheel of the car till they finally arrived at their destination. Parking at a corner, Michael got down and opened the front door for Daniel.
Daniel, who stepped on the floor, ended up falling and landing on mud.
What the fuck!!
The mud was so disgusting, filled with shits of animals and dungs of cows especially.
Ewww, gross....
Daniel felt a chill run down his spine when he looked around and couldn’t even see any proper houses, just cabins. Cabins was a luxury compared to what he was laying his eyes on. Each house was built together so that Daniel himself was afraid that at a point they would squash and plaster to each other like butter, because that was what seemed to be happening.
Darkness itself was thick in the region, going from each house to house, and in the noon in their houses he could see some of them using a lantern.
A freaking lantern at the day time? Like, it was outrageous. Was this place abandoned during civilization times?
"Don’t be so disgusted. Sorry I am not living in a fancy place, but I am so respected here that you might call me a ruler of this little village," he explained, and just as expected, everyone that passed by greeted them, flashing a smile at Michael.
Daniel didn’t see a need to complain because, according to Michael, the so-called riches he had didn’t come with respect, so what’s the need of discriminating? He always had to prove his place, and Xylander, whom he finally married, was in a terrible situation and he couldn’t help him; even the riches couldn’t help. So, fair point.
Just as he was looking around with a baffled look, watching little children beg in the streets and women dragging for sales in front of people’s houses, he could only gape. And despite being kidnapped, his outfit was ten times better than theirs.
"I’m not going to wear one of those, right..?" he talked to himself, seeing their rough skins, some shredding already and wilting away to age. Well, his skin, which hadn’t been so good due to his condition for the past few days, wasn’t compared to those nightmare of a skin he was seeing.
Okay, he shouldn’t judge; this was all different. And there they are, the house of Michael Lewis himself, and damn, it was better than those unfortunate structures littered around the streets.
He judged too early, because inside too was glamorous, probably not to his taste, but it could do.
"Wow, I never...."
"You expected it to be looking as trashy and horrible as the ones outside," Michael winked, and Daniel smiled. Exactly.
"That isn’t possible when my wages is ten times more than the people here in the city. I am a respected doctor, but here there is no useful profession you can find here if not farmers," he revealed, and the talk of him being a doctor took him by surprise.
By this way, it appeared even more crueller; imagine being a doctor and can’t treat yourself of such a horrible disease. It was just unfair.
"Well, seat. Food will soon be served..." Michael then quickly hurried to the kitchen.
"Bye bye to New York City." He had noticed that he had gone out of the city and was in another place. Well, at least he was safe here. Why here? He just had to calm down and figure out a big, smart, and dark plan to take back what was stolen from him and his husband, and destroy the whole of the Lancaster family.
