HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me-Chapter 262
The entire place was filled with trees and flowers properly arranged around the roads, giving off a hazy fragrance. Even though Yang Ze couldn’t see just how big the market was due to his short height, he had a feeling that it might be one-third the size of Yuyang City’s.
The majority of the small buildings were filled with various kinds of items that Yang Ze had never seen before. As for the small stalls that were neatly arranged at the very corner of the cave... they looked like rentals, with a constant flux of women.
And just when Yang Ze was wondering where they were going to go next, the old woman clapped her hands.
"My job is done." Without waiting for him to react, she continued further. "I have other matters to attend to, so I will leave you here."
"Make sure to head into the Harvest Hall’s gathering spot and not someone else’s. The last time that stupid Li Hua entered the Elixir Pavilion’s building and made a fool of herself."
With this final sentence, she turned around and headed in the opposite direction, leaving behind the figure of a middle-aged woman who was standing there stunned.
It took a moment for Yang Ze to come back to his senses.
"This old hag..." Yang Ze almost cursed at the top of his lungs, but stopped at the last moment and looked around in silence. This was perhaps the first time he was exploring the market of this world all by himself.
"Shall I take a look around?" The moment this thought came to his mind, it was hard for Yang Ze to suppress it. He immediately wanted to rush around and explore the place, but thinking about how there was an annual gathering taking place, he held back and began to look around.
Fortunately, it didn’t take him too long to find the place he was looking for.
"This is it?" Looking at the exquisite building in front of him, he couldn’t help but furrow his brows. Compared to other buildings bustling with women constantly entering and exiting, this place was rather desolate. There was hardly anyone entering it, much less coming out.
After some hesitation, Yang Ze still decided to enter the place, and the moment he did, he was greeted by a heavy, putrid stench that was the complete opposite of what was outside.
"Ughh..." Yang Ze almost wanted to throw up, but managed to hold back and look around.
From the inside, the building was rather simple. Just a large hall with a few pieces of furniture lying around.
"This is..." And just when he was wondering if he had come to the right place or not, a sultry voice called him from behind.
"Well, well... if it isn’t Sun Qiao." The voice seemed to be full of contempt and mockery.
"...."
"...."
For a while, Yang Ze looked around, wondering who the voice was talking to before realising his current identity.
"???" He wanted to turn around to take a look, but before he could, the person speaking had walked past him and stood directly in front of him.
"What? Cat got your tongue?"
Yang Ze was finally able to see the owner of the voice.
It was a woman in her late thirties with a headful of black hair carefully tied up in the shape of a bun, supported by a long red hairpin. She was scantily clothed, with thin clothes, just barely enough to cover her private parts.
"What the..." This was the first time Yang Ze saw a woman in this world dressed like this. For a moment, he couldn’t even blink his eyes.
Those long, smooth legs, the ample breasts and a curvaceous figure... were she back on Earth, she would have definitely made a killing as an actress or a model.
But even though she had an excellent figure, it failed to raise any waves in Yang Ze’s heart. After all, compared to the women he had been with, she was akin to a firefly standing in front of the moon. There was just no comparison.
"....." Yang Ze took a quick glance at her personal panel before exhaling a mouthful of air.
[Name: Chen Meili]
[Age: 36]
[Realm: Mid-Stage Pulse Opening]
[Physique: None]
[Talents: Nimble hands(White), Firm Heart(White)]
Looking at the lacklustre panel, he simply averted his gaze. But this small act of his only made the woman even angrier.
"Hmph." With a cold snort, she stood directly in front of Yang Ze, blocking his sight.
"What are you doing here?"
Initially, Yang Ze didn’t want to answer her, but thinking about how she was going to keep him pestering, he couldn’t help but narrow his eyes before replying in a flat tone.
"What do you think?"
Chen Meili was obviously not expecting him to ask another question in response. For a moment, she even forgot to retort. It wasn’t until a few more moments passed that she came back to her senses and almost flew in rage.
She had been taunting this bitch for so many years, and till now, she never dared to retort. But now... not only was she answering back, but her voice also seemed to be mocking her.
"Have you lost your damn mind?" Resisting the urge to rush and beat the bitch to death, Chen Meili clenched her fists. "Do you want me to teach you another lesson once again?"
Suppressing the rage, she took a few steps forward, directly standing in front of the middle-aged woman. The distance between them was just a hair’s breadth, making Yang Ze sweat profusely. If she were to make contact with him, her body would pass through his, shattering his illusion.
Facing the heat and scent of her body that was hitting him directly in his face, right in front of her perky breasts, Yang Ze couldn’t help but curse in his heart before taking a step back and making some distance between them.
This small act of his stepping back made Chen Meili nod in satisfaction.
"This isn’t over." Even though she wanted nothing more than to beat the bitch in front of her, she knew it wasn’t the time or place. They were at the annual gathering, and every little action of hers inside this seemingly deserted building was under surveillance. One wrong step and she would be punished accordingly.
"Hmph!" With a cold snort, she turned her head and headed towards the woman behind the counter, who seemed to be going through a large stack of papers.
"I am here for the annual gathering." Without wasting a word, Chen Meili threw her token at the counter and, after a few moments, received it back once the woman verified her information.
Yang Ze too followed suit and placed his token on the counter. The woman merely glanced at him, then at the token before registering him as well and handing him back the token.
"The gathering will start in an hour. Please wait till then." After making an announcement, the woman once again busied herself with that stack of paper.
Yang Ze didn’t say a word. He silently observed the women around him, constantly checking their personal panels, but the majority of them didn’t even have a talent.
For the next hour, Yang Ze just stood there in silence, watching the scene around him. Occasionally, there would be some snarky remarks from Chen Meili that he would simply ignore.
Seconds turned into minutes as Yang Ze waited patiently for the gathering to begin. The number of people in the room didn’t increase; on the contrary, two women left the room, making the already pitiful number even smaller.
And finally.... It was the time. The moment one hour was over, a group of five women entered the building leisurely. Amongst the group, the youngest woman was in her twenties, and the oldest one was in her seventies. And in the middle of the group was a middle-aged woman, wearing luxurious clothes and a face full of heavy makeup.
"Gather around." The moment she stepped into the building, she spoke in a hoarse voice, sending reverberations throughout the room.
Yang Ze took a quick glance around before standing up with a flushed face and rushing to the centre of the room holding the stack of neatly folded ’paper’.
Other than him, the rest of the women had a similar expression of fear and awe as they gazed at the group occasionally, not even daring to breathe out loud.
Even the usual arrogant Chen Meili was no exception. She kept her head low, afraid of offending the other party, though she would throw occasional glances to Yang Ze, who chose to ignore her.
"The higher-ups are not satisfied with the crap that you have been producing."
The middle-aged woman didn’t twist her words but spoke in a blunt, displeased voice.
"You all have already taken way too much time and resources from the Imperial family and failed to produce any results."
With a short pause, her eyes glanced at the handful of people in front of her as she let out a gentle smile.
"But we are willing to give you all a chance." Speaking till here, she raised both her hands and clapped softly, and the next moment, the figure of a young girl barely twenty years old stepped forward with a thick scroll.
"This is a direct order from her majesty the queen." Her voice was missing the naivety that should have been present in a girl her age. Instead, it was filled with a bone-chilling coldness.
"WHY ARE YOU NOT KNEELING?"
Looking at the women who were still standing there even after knowing it was a decree from the queen, she couldn’t help but shout in a low voice, with her eyes turning murderous.
The moment she finished speaking, the women in the room trembled as they quickly knelt down.
Yang Ze didn’t even hesitate as he waved his finger, and his illusion knelt on the ground with a pious expression on her face.
"...." The girl holding the scroll merely nodded in satisfaction before taking a deep breath as she began to read from the scroll.
"It has come to my attention that even after using so much of the Royal family’s resources, the Harvest Hall has been unable to come up with anything useful."
"So... I have decided to make some changes."
"The current members of the Harvest Hall have one week to come up with something new. Otherwise, they would be disposed of."
"As for those who haven’t taken part in the annual gathering..."
"EXECUTE THEM."
Yang Ze’s eyes narrowed into slits as he listened to the short announcement. For a moment, he couldn’t veen believe his ears. By now, he had a basic understanding of the importance of the Harvest Hall and their new discoveries. But who would have thought that the so-called Queen would choose to purge the entire sub-division?
After reading from the scroll, the girl turned her head and spoke in an incomparable cold voice.
"What are you waiting for?" The moment she finished speaking, two figures rushed out from the group, picked up the stack of paper and after glancing through the names, rushed out of the building.
"Not good." Yang Ze almost made a move, but managed to hold himself. He had sealed that woman within a metal case after boiling her alive. If the two of them were to go there, they would definitely find out about her death and then...
"Tch..."
"Forget it... Not like they will be able to pin the blame on me." With a shrug, he glanced at the women standing beside him from the corner of his eye. And sure enough... all of them had pale faces. Even Chen Meili, who was acting all high and mighty, was trembling in fear.
"Now then." Placing the scroll back in her robe, the young woman stepped forward and glanced at the kneeling women.
"What are you going to show in this annual gathering?"
—---------
On the other side of the mountain, just as Yang Ze had expected, it didn’t take the two women to come across a large block of metal in the middle of the room of the person they were supposed to execute.
"What the!?" The two looked at each other in confusion, wondering what this thing was doing there.
Taking a deep breath, one of them raised their hand as it was enveloped by a dim light.
Then, without any hesitation, she slapped it towards the block of metal.
*BANG
With the sound of a loud explosion, the giant metal block cracked, but it didn’t shatter completely.
"Interesting." The other woman also joined in as she raised her hand, enveloped in Internal energy, and smashed it down without any hesitation.
The metal block that was already full of cracks wasn’t able to hold it any longer and then, with a loud crackling sound, shattered into pieces, falling like a block of broken wood.
And the moment it shattered completely, the scene inside was finally revealed.
"Huuuh!?" Both women exclaimed at the same time upon seeing the pot inside, which one could still see the decomposed human body parts.
With the fire that had been extinguished a long time ago, the entire pot was filled with a gut-wrenching smell and innumerable small worms, feasting on the rotting body parts.
"In... INFORM THE LEADER." Resisting the urge to throw up, one of the women couldn’t help but shout at the top of her lungs while waving her hand.
"There is a killer who has infiltrated the Royal Family."
"GO NOW."

On the other side, the middle-aged woman was standing directly in front of Yang Ze, while looking at the ’paper’ in his hands with a frown.
"You said that these have been improved?" She couldn’t help but grab one of the papers, rub it between her fingers and then glance at Yang Ze in confusion.
"What’s been improved?"
"It feels and looks the same to me."
"Aahh... about that." Yang Ze raised his finger with a smile before picking up the piece of paper, placing it on his palm and thrusting it towards the woman.
"Even though I was unable to make any breakthroughs in talismans, I was able to create this new material."
"Just watch closely."
Then, without any hesitation, he took out a knife that he had just manifested and then slashed it on the thin piece of paper, but there were no changes.
And just when he was about to explain the awesome defensive capabilities of the paper in his hand, he was interrupted by the figure of a woman rushing inside with a somewhat nervous face.
Then, without any hesitation, she reached out to whisper in the woman’s ear.
Yang Ze, who was in the middle of the speech, couldn’t help but take in a deep breath.
"They finally found her..." Muttering to himself, he readied himself for the storm that was about to engulf the entire Imperial city...
