Help!! This Girl Is A Yandere!!!-Chapter 30: New Allies
ZOOOM!
Xavier dashed forward in a blur, the speed he now possessed—thanks to his healed ankle—making him move like a streak of lightning across the clearing.
BOOM!!
KRRUNSH!!
SPLURT!
PSSHH!
Before the rest of the wolves could even comprehend what had happened, Xavier had already buried his fist into the skull of the nearest wolf, slamming its head into the dirt with monstrous force.
Bone fragmented like shattered glass beneath the force of his strike. Brain matter exploded outward in a grotesque fountain of red and grey, mixing with the dirt to form a viscous, horrifying sludge. The sickening crunch of bone meeting raw earth, the wet squelch of ruptured flesh—echoed across the silent clearing like the punchline of a nightmare.
Time seemed to freeze.
The twitching body of the now-dead wolf spasmed once... then went still. Forever.
Xavier, completely unfazed, rose slowly from his crouch. His hand—coated from fingertips to elbow in gore—dripped blood onto the grass below, each drop falling like a countdown to someone else’s doom.
He flexed his fingers.
Squish.
Wet meat slid between the joints of his knuckles. He didn’t care. If anything, it made his next words hit harder.
"So..." he began, his voice low.
"Who’s next?"
There was a cruel glint in his crimson eyes, a glimmer of madness behind the calm. It was not just the blood that painted him like a demon pulled straight from hell—it was the cold serenity in his posture, the confident tilt of his head, the quiet certainty and confidence that no one here could touch him.
He looked like he belonged in that chaos.
"You came looking for a hunt."
"Congratulations. You found one."
The other wolves froze, their bodies trembling as they stared wide-eyed at the boy drenched in the blood of one of their own. Several of them whimpered involuntarily, instinct screaming that they had provoked something far worse than they imagined.
But then—
The towering Level 9 Ungraded Wolf— the so-called leader of this doomed pack—finally raised its head. Its eyes burned with fury, its lips curled back in a snarl of outrage and disbelief.
"AAAAOOO!!"
A thunderous, guttural roar exploded from its lungs, shaking the very air around them. The cry pierced the lingering silence like a blade, slicing through the fear that had paralyzed its subordinates. It was not a cry for mercy. It was a battle cry—one that demanded blood, vengeance, and the immediate tearing-apart of the anomaly standing before them.
The pack stirred.
Their trembling limbs steadied. Their pupils narrowed. The stench of fear that had gripped them began to burn away, replaced by the rising smoke of rage. And with that fury came a collective realization—how dare he?
How dare a lone human—a Level 6 nobody—reduce one of their own to a splattered mess of fur and meat?
Their claws dug into the dirt. Their fangs bared with new conviction.
They remembered who they were: predators. Killers. Monsters that stalked the cursed outer region of the Periculous Forest and tore through flesh and bone without mercy. They were not the prey in this encounter. They were the devourers, the nightmares in the dark.
And yet...
That human had shattered one of their packmates with a single strike.
One of their own.
And it was not even a struggle.
They glanced between the mangled corpse and Xavier’s form—his body still dripping crimson, his posture relaxed. The scent of death clung to him like perfume, and the blood of their kin had painted him into something else entirely.
But still... he was only a Level 6.
But if that was true, then how did he—?
The pack growled, caught between fear and fury, confusion and instinct. Their pride had been injured, their order challenged.
And nothing enrages a beast more than realizing its prey might be something far worse.
"Aaaaaooo!!"
The pack howled in unison, now convinced that they had been duped. Their confidence soared. One of the braver wolves, a Level 7 Ungraded Monster, could no longer contain its rage and launched itself at Xavier, confident that it could easily take him down.
The others watched with gleaming eyes, cheering in their own savage way. Their packmate was one level higher—surely, victory was inevitable.
The Level 7 wolf charged directly at him, foaming at the mouth, its claws and fangs extended, aiming to rip Xavier apart to shreds.
Xavier’s face remained impassive.
"Fool," he muttered as the wolf lunged.
"How do you plan to dodge an attack... when you are airborne?"
Just as the wolf pounced, Xavier grabbed a fist-sized rock from the ground and hurled it with pinpoint accuracy.
THUD!
The rock struck the wolf right in the left eye, causing it to lose balance mid-air. The wolf let out a startled yelp as its body twisted awkwardly.
"Aaaao—"
The blood pooling around the first corpse made the ground slick, and the airborne wolf slipped as it landed—right where Xavier had previously stood.
And then—
KRRUUNSH!!!
Xavier’s leg, already raised high and glowing faintly with the lingering pulse of residual Aether, came crashing down like a divine hammer onto the wolf’s skull. The impact was brutal—its head was crushed in an instant, reduced to a grotesque mess of shattered bone and pulp beneath his merciless heel. Blood, fragments of skull, and globs of brain matter exploded outward, splattering across the grass in a sickening arc.
"Two down. Twenty-two more to go," he said with casual cruelty, wiping a speck of brain matter from his cheek as though it were dust.
There was not even a single flicker of remorse in his expression.
The remaining wolves stared, aghast, their bloodlust replaced with fear. This time, it wasn’t just shock. It was dread.
This human—this predator—had just taken down two of their brethren without even trying. And the second was stronger.
Some of the wolves turned their heads to their leader, seeking direction. But even the Level 9 was frozen for a moment, unnerved by the ease with which Xavier killed.
Then, it made a decision that would forever change the course of fate, one that would be go down in the annals of history.
"AAOOOO~~!!"
With a thunderous cry, the Leader Wolf gave its command—and all the wolves obeyed.
Dozens of snarling, howling monsters charged toward Xavier from every direction.
Xavier’s eyes narrowed. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"So you have chosen... death."
He hadn’t wanted to kill them. He knew they were acting on instinct, not malice. But survival demanded action.
He clenched his fists, Aether beginning to rise in his core.
But then—
"Huh? What are you...?"
"Aaaaoooo~"
What happened next stunned him.
The wolves stopped abruptly, then lowered their heads, pressing their snouts against the ground.
A show of submission.
Each of them slowly lowered their bodies into a prone position—submissive, respectful, almost ceremonial.
"Are they... submitting?" Xavier muttered, blinking in disbelief.
He cautiously approached the Leader Wolf, expecting an ambush—but it never came.
Instead, the beast remained perfectly still, maintaining its position.
’Why? Why surrender now?’ Xavier thought.
’Was it my strength? My Aether? Or... something else?’
He wished he could speak their tongue. At least then, he could ask directly. But that was not possible.
Still, he could try something.
"Hey," he said, raising a hand and motioning gently.
"Rise."
The Leader Wolf slowly raised its head, observing his gesture. It stood, obediently.
’It understands gestures. That’s good to know.’
Xavier then tried a simple question.
"Why do you give up?" he asked, pairing it with several basic hand motions.
The Leader Wolf cocked its head, confused. It clearly did not understand that one.
’So, it only understands basic commands through motion. That means communication will be tricky.’
’But then, what else should I do? I can’t just trust it and its pack simply because they bowed their head and lowered their body.’
’Hmm... what to do? Should I just tell them to leave?’
’But... having monster wolves as pets... that’d be so cool.’
’Ugh... What should I do? I’m torn between having cool pets and my suspicion over them.’
’Oh! That’s it!’
’I could do that!’ Xavier thought, a small smile formed on his face.
"Show me your belly."
He gestured with his hand, indicating vulnerability.
The Leader Wolf’s eyes widened.
’Now let’s see what you do, will you show your belly where all of your organs are to someone that could kill you in an instant? Will you allow yourself to be in such a vulnerable posi-’
Thud
The Leader Wolf rolled onto its back before Xavier could even finish his line of thought.
"No way..." Xavier whispered.
The gesture shocked him.
’Alright... one test passed. But I need more.’
He turned to the others.
"Rise!" he commanded.
All the wolves stood.
"Roll over." He pointed at their leader.
The pack hesitated, visibly anxious.
’Now, what will you do? Will you also roll over or will you-’
Thud Thud Thud
One by one, they rolled onto their backs. Some nervously. Some without hesitation.
But they all obeyed.
’Unbelievable... they all did it. These guys really are submitting to me.’
Still, Xavier had one final test.
