Her Cultivation Diary-Chapter 1936 - 1716: Youthful College Guys (2)
Alright!
Once he spoke, Master Xiaozhou let out a sigh of relief, and straight away picked up a stack of paper bowls: "Here, hold them well, I’ll serve you big scoops."
He swiftly and steadily, without a shake in hand, scooped the fried rice from the barrel and piled it into their bowls.
The young folks didn’t even have time for courtesies; they grabbed their spoons and devoured hungrily. As they eyed the pots and pans and iron skewers around them, they mumbled with mouths full:
"Master, we’ll help you with whatever you need later..."
"No need, no need."
Master Xiaozhou tapped his large iron spoon and added a ladle of water to the pot: "We’ve hired someone for that..."
The plumbing boss was as full from watching the festivities as he was from eating.
Tonight’s events would give him stories to brag about to his wife for days and to relatives and friends for months!
Enthusiastically, he raised his hand: "Yes, exactly, I’ve been hired, I’ll clean up later, you hurry and eat... don’t litter!"
Just from a single scoop of rice, without any instruction, everyone felt compelled to gorge themselves, eagerly consuming it despite any intentions of savoring it slowly.
They might had shamelessly come for food, but indeed, they had only arrived here after playing basketball and running some night laps, with remarkable appetites.
Don’t just say one bowl, they could easily go for two more.
After they slurped down their meal with loud gulps, the barbecue table had started to be cleaned.
Yet everyone was really too stuffed; although dozens were standing around, no one intentionally slacked off, there weren’t any grand gestures.
It all looked a bit sluggish.
Yet, those young full-fed folks were different.
They saw the plumbing boss cleaning dishes and bowls, hauling water pipes, and, with their endless energy, joined in to lift, carry, wipe, and wash.
If it weren’t for the just-extinguished coals still being hot, they would’ve scrubbed the grill clean with steel wool.
You got it!
With such efficiency, even if a bit rough, no one could complain.
The first young lad who arrived had already set his sights on Song Tan; he walked over, slightly timid:
"Sis, are you the organizer of this barbecue? Could you let us know the budget? We could pool money and maybe join next time?"
Song Tan shook her head with a smile: "Oh no, we hired a chef for our family, today is just a gathering with friends in the urban area, we don’t take business."
The urban was chosen because we couldn’t gather all these barbecue grills and such at home.
Had we known, we’d have dragged the equipment all night, enjoying it in our own yard.
It seems, bad intentions bring retribution.
We won’t do this next time.
"Oh." The young lad nodded and then waved his friends over:
"Come!"
They all obediently lined up, a row of young men facing her, and the leading guy earnestly said:
"Sis, are you open to dating a young man?"
"Date one, and we’ll throw in the rest for free!"
"And if you need help at home—moving, gaming, climbing Mount Tai, you name it—we’re up for it."
"We can walk around the mall carrying bags all day without getting tired; we’ve got plenty of stamina!"
Upon hearing this, Qin Yun couldn’t hold back his laughter.
His wife, on the other hand, murmured excitedly, eyes gleaming:
"Oh my God, why don’t I get such a good deal?"
Honestly speaking, these lads weren’t as striking as Lun Chuan, some could even be described as ordinary.
But they were truly so youthful!
Their tall statures, energetic working demeanor, along with their obedient yet shy charm...
Not sure if Song Tan was tempted, but she exchanged knowing glances with He Kuang’s wife and Yun Feng’s wife, with clenched fists, feeling secretly determined!
The smile vanished from Qin Yun’s face.
He had once been a youthful lad too! It was the years! The years were to blame!
Lun Chuan: ...
He didn’t expect the fire of youthful lads to burn his way.
"I’m sorry," he murmured: "She already has a boyfriend."
"Oh..."
With that face, that build, standing beside Song Tan, the college students couldn’t say much.
However, they regrettably sighed, before adding: "Actually, we don’t care about a formal status..."
Lun Chuan hit the nail on the head: "You might not care about the status, but you care about the meal ticket, right?"
"Keep this up, and I’ll take your phones and send this video to your girlfriends."
Being young men, even if one were single, surely not all of them were single.
