Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 378: Sunfall Used Incorrectly
Dahlia didn’t hesitate.
"[Dragon Rush]."
Storm energy exploded around her body as her wings snapped forward.
Her horns glowed faintly as her body shot forward like a living projectile. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
She charged straight toward Sindral.
Below, Sindral lifted his sword.
The sunlight twisted violently.
"[Sunfall Verdict]."
A blazing judgment formed in the sky.
But instead of falling toward Dahlia, it dropped straight down onto Sindral himself.
The arena shook.
Dahlia’s eyes widened mid-charge.
"...Are you crazy?" she shouted.
Sindral stood at the center of the falling light, his body wrapped in execution-grade solar mana.
The light didn’t burn him. It fused around him, forming a blazing shell.
He smirked.
"Of course not," Sindral said. "[Sunfall Verdict] is meant to execute demons... or punish targets."
He tightened his grip on the sword.
"But for me?" he continued. "It’s enhancement."
The solar light hardened, flowing across his body like armor.
"And a shield."
Dahlia’s eyes narrowed.
Sindral nodded calmly.
"I figured it out when I saw Rovric," he said. "Your God Gym path focuses on the body."
He raised his head slightly, eyes locked on her.
"So you’d have a charge-type finisher."
Dahlia felt the pressure spike.
"I’ll use this," Sindral continued, "to block your attack... and counter it at the same time."
Dahlia clicked her tongue.
"...Then let’s see which one of us is better."
She didn’t slow down.
She accelerated.
At the last moment, Dahlia flipped her body in midair.
Storm energy twisted with her movement, wings pulling back as she gathered everything into her legs.
She came down from above.
Both legs extended.
A full-power descending kick.
The impact was violent.
The solar shell around Sindral cracked instantly.
His feet dug into the arena floor, stone shattering beneath him as he was driven backward.
The force pushed him all the way to the edge of the arena, his boots leaving deep trails behind him.
Sindral skidded to a stop near the boundary, breathing hard.
His arms trembled slightly.
He hadn’t expected that.
"...That was stronger than I thought," he muttered.
Then he smiled.
"But still," Sindral said. "Is that all?"
Dahlia hovered in the air, wings beating slowly.
Her expression didn’t change.
"Of course not."
Sindral’s smile froze.
He suddenly felt it.
The storm energy.
It was still there.
"...Don’t tell me," he muttered.
Dahlia raised one hand and snapped her fingers.
"...BOOM."
The compressed storm energy detonated.
Sindral was launched into the air, spinning uncontrollably before slamming hard into the arena floor.
The solar light shattered completely.
Silence fell.
Smoke drifted slowly upward.
Sindral lay on the ground, chest rising and falling heavily, unable to move.
Dahlia landed lightly a short distance away.
She straightened, wings folding back, storm energy fading.
She looked at him once.
Then smirked.
"I win."
The arena stayed silent for a long moment.
---
Dahlia walked back toward the God Gym side, her steps steady but slower than before.
Her wings were already fading back, scales retreating as her body returned to normal.
The injury on her wing still throbbed, but she kept her head high.
Before she could say anything, footsteps rushed toward her.
"Senior sister!" Mersha shouted.
She nearly tripped as she ran, clutching a small bottle tightly in both hands.
Her eyes were wide, and her breathing was uneven.
"You’re injured," Mersha said quickly. "Drink this potion. I made it just now."
Dahlia raised one hand. "Junior sister... no need."
She flexed her shoulder once and winced slightly. "It’s not that serious. I’ll heal in a few days."
Mersha froze.
Her lower lip trembled.
"...But you got hurt," she said softly.
Her eyes watered, and tears began to gather.
Dahlia frowned when she noticed.
"...Hey," she said. "Don’t cry."
But Mersha’s eyes were already red.
Before Dahlia could say more, Garion stepped closer.
"Dahlia," he said calmly, "just drink it."
He glanced at Mersha. "Your junior sister made it specially for you."
Dahlia clicked her tongue.
"...Damn it," she muttered. "I should’ve gone all out from the start."
Mersha sniffed and forced a smile. She held the bottle out with both hands.
"It’s a green one," she said quickly. "It helps with regeneration and pain. I adjusted the dosage just for you."
Dahlia stared at the potion.
The liquid inside was thick and dark green.
Suspiciously green.
"...I already know where this is going," Dahlia said.
Garion crossed his arms. "Drink."
The other disciples watched quietly.
Valtor looked away. "Good luck."
Clara covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.
Seira said nothing, but her eyes showed clear understanding.
Dahlia sighed deeply.
"...Fine."
She took the bottle, uncorked it, and drank it in one go.
The moment it hit her tongue...
Her face twisted.
"...Bitter," she said flatly.
Then her shoulders tensed.
"...Very bitter."
Her knees almost buckled.
Mersha brightened instantly. "It means it’s working!"
Dahlia swallowed hard, breathing through her nose.
"...You’re evil," she said weakly.
Mersha wiped her tears and smiled proudly. "But you’re healing."
Dahlia felt warmth spreading through her body already.
The injury began to itch.
She let out a slow breath.
"...Yeah," she admitted. "It’s working."
She reached out and lightly patted Mersha’s head.
"Good job."
Mersha smiled, her eyes still a little red, but clearly relieved.
Dahlia was about to turn away when a thought suddenly crossed her mind.
Her lips slowly curved upward.
A very familiar, very dangerous smile appeared on her face.
"Mersha," Dahlia said casually, lowering her voice, "come here. I want to ask you to do something."
Mersha leaned closer immediately, curious. "Eh? What is it, Senior Sister?"
Dahlia whispered a few words into her ear.
Mersha’s eyes widened.
"...You’re serious?" she asked.
Dahlia nodded, smiling sweetly. "Very serious."
Mersha hesitated for half a second.
Then she grinned.
"Hehehe... okay. I can do that."
Dahlia straightened up, clearly satisfied.
"Good," she said. "I’ll leave it to you."
Not far away, Garion turned his attention to the Solmira side.
Sorien was already walking toward him.
The tension that had filled the arena earlier was completely gone now.
The Solmira members looked tired but respectful.
There was no resentment in their eyes, only acceptance.
Sorien stopped in front of Garion and gave a small bow.
"Congratulations, Leader Garion," he said calmly.
Garion smiled.
"Thank you," he replied. "Really."
"Your sect," Sorien continued, "has officially proven itself."
He looked around the arena once more.
"From this moment on, God Gym is recognized as a Grand Faction."
Garion nodded. "I appreciate it."
