Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 422: Overgrown Lizard Gets Insulted
Darrell frowned deeply. "What do you mean by that?"
Navrel’s massive head tilted slightly. The dragon’s lips curled, exposing rows of sharp teeth.
"What I mean," Navrel said slowly, "is that there are already enough humans here to satisfy me."
Darrell’s eyes widened. "What are you talking about?"
The dragon’s body shifted. Dark energy began gathering around its scales.
The air in the cavern grew heavier, pressing against everyone’s lungs.
Behind Darrell, one of the Draconia soldiers stepped back nervously. "Young Master... something’s wrong."
Navrel’s red eyes gleamed brighter.
"You came seeking power," it said calmly. "Power always requires fuel."
Suddenly, a dark circle spread across the ground beneath them.
Black lines crawled outward like cracks, forming a circular pattern that pulsed with demonic energy.
In the center of the chamber, the ground beneath Darrell’s feet began to sink slightly.
The dark energy rose like smoke, wrapping around the legs of the Draconia soldiers.
"Wait... what is this?!" one of them shouted.
The energy tightened instantly.
Darrell tried to move, but the pressure increased.
"Navrel!" he shouted. "What are you doing?"
The dragon smirked. "You want me to defeat God Gym, do you not?"
The dark energy began pulling inward.
One of the Draconia soldiers screamed as his body was dragged toward the center of the formation.
His dragon aura flared briefly, but it was crushed immediately. "No! Young Master!"
His voice cut off as the black energy swallowed him.
Darrell’s face twisted in shock. "Wait! How can you eat me?!"
Navrel’s eyes gleamed.
"You are filled with dragon mana," it said calmly. "Pure Draconia blood."
The dragon leaned forward slightly. "Consuming you will grant me more strength."
The assistant tried to activate his own power, but the demonic aura suppressed it instantly.
"You promised to help us!"
Navrel laughed softly. "And I will."
The dark domain pulsed stronger.
Another soldier was dragged screaming into the center, his body breaking apart into dark mist before being absorbed.
"Don’t worry," Navrel continued smoothly. "I will make sure to destroy God Gym."
Darrell struggled violently.
His dragon aura flared out of control, red light bursting from his body as he tried to tear himself free from the dark formation.
"You can’t do this!" he shouted. "I am Draconia!"
The black energy tightened around him like chains. It crawled up his legs, then his waist. The more he resisted, the stronger it pulled.
Navrel lowered its massive head slightly.
"Power requires sacrifice," the dragon said calmly.
Behind a thick stone pillar near the entrance, Clara clenched her fists tightly.
"Are we stepping in now?" she whispered urgently.
Eliza’s eyes remained fixed on the dark formation. She watched the energy flow carefully, her breathing slow and steady.
Dahlia did not move.
"No need," she said quietly.
Clara turned to her. "No need?"
Dahlia’s gaze remained calm as she watched Darrell struggle. "It’s his own fault."
In the center of the chamber, Darrell’s aura flickered weakly now. The black energy had reached his chest.
"Navrel! Stop!" he shouted, his voice shaking.
The dragon did not respond.
Clara shifted uncomfortably.
"But if we don’t stop this," she whispered, "the dragon will get even stronger."
Dahlia’s lips curved into a small smirk. "Then that’s better."
Clara blinked. "Better?"
Dahlia rolled her shoulders slowly. "It’s been a while since I faced a really strong enemy."
Her eyes sharpened slightly. "I don’t want it half-fed."
Clara stared at her for a second, then let out a small breath. "You’re insane."
Eliza didn’t look away from the scene.
"He’s almost gone," she said softly.
Darrell’s struggles grew weaker. His dragon aura flickered one last time before being crushed completely. "No!"
His voice broke off as the dark energy swallowed him entirely.
Silence filled the cavern.
The formation on the ground slowly faded as the demonic energy flowed back toward Navrel.
The dragon’s scales glowed faintly, cracks between them pulsing with new strength.
Navrel let out a low, satisfied rumble.
The air grew heavier.
Clara felt the pressure increase instantly. "Okay... yeah. He definitely got stronger."
Navrel slowly lifted its head and turned toward the entrance.
Its red eyes locked directly onto the pillar where the three girls were hiding.
"I can feel you," the dragon said calmly.
The temperature in the chamber dropped slightly. "So come out now... little cockroaches."
Clara sighed. "Well. That was dramatic."
Eliza slowly stepped forward first, her invisibility fading away.
Clara followed casually, stretching her neck once.
Dahlia stepped out last.
She walked into the open without hesitation, her expression relaxed.
Navrel lowered its massive head slightly, studying her from head to toe.
"I can feel Draconia blood from you," the dragon said slowly."
Its red eyes narrowed. "Are you here for power as well?"
Dahlia stopped a few steps away from the center of the chamber.
She placed one hand on her hip and tilted her head slightly. "Of course not."
She glanced at Clara briefly, then back at the dragon.
"You lizard," she said flatly, "we’re from God Gym."
Clara covered her mouth lightly, barely holding back a laugh.
Dahlia continued, her tone casual. "We’re here to kill you, you overgrown lizard."
For a second, the chamber went completely silent.
Navrel’s eyes widened slightly before narrowing again.
"Damn you," the dragon growled, its voice shaking the cavern walls. "How dare you call me that."
The ground trembled faintly as its claws dug into the stone.
"I will make your death painful," Navrel said coldly. "And I will destroy God Gym mercilessly."
Clara crossed her arms and leaned slightly toward Eliza. "He’s sensitive."
Eliza’s gaze never left the dragon. "Focus."
Dahlia stretched her neck once, then rolled her shoulders slowly. A faint dragon aura flickered around her, controlled and steady.
"Well," she said calmly, "let’s see if you can do that."
Navrel’s body tensed.
Dark demonic energy began gathering around its massive frame again, swirling thicker than before.
Clara took a step back and whispered, "He’s serious now."
Dahlia stepped forward instead. "Good. This will be a really interesting fight."
