Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 446: The Most Casual Grand Council Ever
Garion moved quickly through the sky as he left the archipelago and traveled toward the meeting point.
After some time, he finally reached the location.
Garion slowed down and landed lightly on the ground. He looked around.
The place was quiet. Just an empty rocky plateau surrounded by low hills.
There were no large buildings, no banners, and no guards standing in formation.
Nothing about the place looked like a Grand Council meeting.
Garion frowned slightly. "...That’s it?"
A few people were already there. They stood in small groups, talking quietly among themselves.
Garion quickly recognized one of them.
Sorien stood calmly near the edge of the plateau, his posture straight as always. His golden robes moved slightly in the wind.
Garion walked toward him.
Sorien noticed him approaching and gave a small nod. "You came quickly."
Garion stopped beside him and looked around again. "...Is this really the Grand Council?"
Sorien nodded. "Yes."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "This is not exactly what I imagined."
He gestured around the empty area. "I expected something more... grand."
Sorien allowed himself a faint smile. "Different from what you imagined?"
Garion nodded. "Very."
Sorien clasped his hands behind his back and looked at the other figures scattered across the plateau. "The Grand Council is not always a public event."
He spoke calmly. "Sometimes it is held in large halls with hundreds of observers."
He then gestured slightly toward the quiet surroundings. "And sometimes... it looks like this."
Garion crossed his arms. "A secret meeting."
Sorien nodded. "Yes."
His voice lowered slightly. "This matter involves Draconia and the Black Chimera."
Garion looked toward the other people standing nearby.
Several of them were clearly powerful cultivators. Even standing still, their presence felt heavy. "So they kept it quiet."
Sorien nodded again. "A public meeting would attract attention."
Garion smirked. "Fair."
He glanced at Sorien. "So who’s here?"
Sorien looked across the plateau. "The representatives of other grand factions."
Garion followed his gaze and looked at some people. Only about 10 other people were here. "That’s all?"
Sorien nodded. "For this meeting, yes."
Garion shrugged. "That’s smaller than I expected."
Sorien spoke calmly. "Small meetings are often the most important ones."
Garion chuckled. "That sounds ominous."
Sorien looked back toward the center of the plateau where a large stone table stood. "They will begin soon."
Garion glanced around again. "And we’re deciding the future of Draconia here?"
Sorien nodded once. "Yes."
Garion smirked slightly. "...This should be interesting."
For a moment no one spoke. Then the man standing at the center of the group stepped forward.
He had straight blonde hair and wore bright golden robes marked with the emblem of the sun.
His posture was perfectly straight, and his expression was serious.
He looked around the gathering before speaking. "I will begin."
His voice was calm but carried authority. "I am Sianor Solmira, Patriarch of the Solmira Clan."
He placed one hand behind his back. "This meeting has been called because of the Draconia Clan’s alliance with the Black Chimera."
Garion crossed his arms and watched quietly.
Next to Sianor, Sorien stood calmly as usual.
Another elder from the Solmira Clan, dressed in similar robes but older in appearance, remained silent beside them.
Before Sianor could continue, someone chuckled.
Garion looked to the side.
A tall man in green robes had stepped forward slightly. His glasses reflected the light as he pushed them up his nose.
"I suppose introductions are required," the man said with a relaxed smile.
He looked around the group as if observing an experiment.
"I am Clark Veyron, Sect Leader of the Supreme Root Sect."
His tone sounded more like a teacher introducing himself to a class than a powerful sect leader.
Clark glanced at Garion briefly. "Interesting gathering."
Then another voice cut in. "Ah, how serious everyone is."
Garion turned his head again.
A handsome man with long dark hair walked forward with a relaxed smile.
His robes were loose and elegant, and his eyes moved across the group with obvious amusement. "I am Floren Lorien, leader of the Night Pleasure Sect."
He gestured casually to the woman standing beside him. "And this lovely lady here is accompanying me."
The woman beside him simply nodded politely, clearly used to his personality.
Floren stretched slightly. "I must say, calling people to a meeting about war without tea or wine is quite rude."
Clark chuckled quietly. Sianor ignored the comment completely.
Before anyone else could speak, three figures stepped forward together.
Their armor was dark, marked with the symbol of a dragon skull.
One of them spoke. "We represent the Drakenfel Clan."
His voice was firm.
The man looked around the gathering with sharp eyes. "Draconia has been our enemy for generations."
The two elders beside him nodded. "So of course we will participate in this council."
Garion studied them carefully. They were known as dragon hunters, so it made sense they were here.
Then several eyes turned toward him.
Garion noticed and shrugged slightly. "Right."
He stepped forward casually. "And me?"
He smirked. "Garion."
Floren tilted his head with interest. "Oh? The famous new Grand Faction leader."
Clark also studied him with curiosity. "So you’re the founder of God Gym."
Garion shrugged again. "Something like that."
Sianor finally spoke again, his voice firm. "Good."
He looked around the group. "Now that introductions are finished..."
His gaze hardened slightly. "...we will discuss the matter of Draconia and the Black Chimera."
He paused for a moment before continuing. "We will begin with the two people most directly involved."
Sianor turned his head slightly. "Sorien."
Then his eyes shifted to Garion. "And Garion."
Garion crossed his arms casually.
Sorien nodded once.
Sianor spoke again. "Explain what happened. Why did the Draconia Clan suddenly defect and join the Black Chimera?"
Sorien stepped forward slightly. His posture remained calm and composed as always. "Very well."
He looked around the council members before speaking. "I will explain the situation briefly."
Garion watched silently from the side.
Sorien continued. "The Draconia Clan already had tensions with God Gym."
He glanced at Garion for a moment. "This conflict began when Dahlia, Draconia’s former genius that ran away years ago, actually joined God Gym."
He then continued. "When it was known Dahlia was a key member in another grand faction... it damaged their reputation."
The Drakenfel representatives listened quietly with cold expressions.
Sorien continued speaking calmly. "At the same time..."
He paused slightly. "The Draconia Clan had secretly been working with demonic forces, and when it was found out by us..."
He looked around the group. "...they chose to abandon their position as a Grand Faction."
Floren tilted his head slightly. "And ran to the Black Chimera."
Sorien nodded. "Correct."
He clasped his hands behind his back again. "That is the short version of events."
For a moment the plateau became quiet again.
