Chapter 330: Begging Her

Vladimir was enraged after finding out he couldn’t marry Sabrina yet. And now, they must approach Dominique to know what happened with the divorce agreement Sabrina signed five years ago.

He clenched his fists tightly while gritting his teeth. He couldn’t believe that Dominique remained an obstacle to marrying the woman he loved.

Meanwhile, Sabrina finally recovered from her trance. She quickly held Vladimir’s hand to calm him down.

With his current mood, the staff member of the Civil Registrar began to feel threatened and intimidated by him.

Before he could make another scene, Sabrina had decided to pull him out of the room.

"I’m sorry, V... I didn’t know this would happen today..." She quickly apologized to him.

She could feel Vladimir’s raging emotions. She knew how upset and disappointed he was at this moment.

Hearing her soft voice, Vladimir finally calmed down a little bit. "You don’t have to apologize to me. This is not your fault."

He moved closer to her, cupping her face so that he could meet her eyes.

"I should be the one apologizing for acting violently. I failed to control my temper. Did I scare you?" He asked her worriedly, his fingers gently caressing her face.

Sabrina could only bite her lower lip as she didn’t know how she would console Vladimir.

"Let’s go. We need to see Dominique Smith!" Vladimir said, a cold glint flashing through his eyes.

"Uncle V, I think you should stay behind. Let my mother and me meet my Dad," Aaron butted in.

The young boy believed that it was not a good idea to let Vladimir see his father. With his current temper, he was afraid that the two men would end up fighting once they met.

Sabrina nodded in agreement to Aaron’s suggestion. She also wanted to talk to Dominique alone. She wouldn’t be able to do that if Vladimir were to tag along with her.

Furthermore, she would like those two men to avoid seeing each other. They always argued every time they crossed paths.

"I will not be at ease if you see him... alone," Vladimir expressed his objection.

"But why? Can’t you trust my Mom, Uncle Vlad? She will just ask my father some questions. There is nothing to be afraid of. Besides, I’m going to accompany her."

Aaron tried to persuade Vladimir to allow Sabrina to go and meet Dominique without his interference.

Vladimir had no choice but to agree. He didn’t want her to think that he was doubting her or trying to control her.

"Alright. I understand. But at least allow me to drive you there. I promise to stay in the car and wait for you." He reassured her.

"Okay. Let’s do that."

A few minutes later...

They arrived at Don Miguel’s villa, where Dominique was currently staying.

Their unannounced visit brought intrigue to Miguel. He was the one who saw them first at the gate.

"Oh, why are you both here?" Miguel asked coldly, narrowing his eyes at Sabrina and Vladimir. A hint of disgust was visible on his face.

Before Sabrina and Vladimir could say a word, Aaron had already spoken up on their behalf.

"Grandpa, we are here to see my Dad. There is something we need to discuss with him. We didn’t mean to intrude here..."

Aaron put on a puppy-eyed look, hoping to melt Miguel’s heart. He knew that his grandpa still cared for him, and he was fond of him. He was trying to use his charm to compel Miguel to let them inside the villa.

Fortunately, his charm was truly effective against the old man.

"Alright. He is in the living room. Come inside."

Both Sabrina and Vladimir were surprised that Miguel didn’t argue with them further. He easily gave in to Aaron.

Just like what he had promised, Vladimir stayed in the car while Don Miguel guided Aaron and Sabrina inside the mansion.

Aaron was smart enough to understand that his parents should talk alone. So instead of staying with his mother, he decided to spend time with Don Miguel in the pool area.

Meanwhile, Dominique had already been expecting Sabrina’s arrival. Aaron gave him a heads-up that they were coming today.

In fact, Dominique became uneasy upon reading Aaron’s message regarding the marriage registration of Vladimir and Sabrina. It only meant that Sabrina had already chosen Vladimir and had decided to become his wife. He was truly heartbroken by that news.

Fortunately, he didn’t submit the divorce papers to the Civil Registrar five years ago; otherwise, Sabrina would have become Vladimir’s wife today.

"Dom, what happened to our divorce agreement? Did you submit it to the Civil Registrar? How come they have no records of our divorce?" Sabrina asked him straight to the point.

"No. I didn’t submit it," he promptly responded.

Sabrina was taken aback for a moment.

"Why? Was it because you thought I was dead when I jumped off the bridge?"

Dominique fell silent.

"Give it to me now," Sabrina demanded, placing her arm in front of him.

However, Dominique shook his head. "That document no longer exists."

"Huh? What do you mean?" She looked confused.

"Five years ago... I couldn’t bring myself to submit our divorce agreement to the Civil Registrar... Yes, I forced you to sign it."

"But when I got hold of the document, I never had the courage to submit it... because once I did... our connection would be truly cut with one another. Deep inside, I never wanted to end our marriage... because I loved you, Sab! And I still do. I regretted everything."

Dominique expressed what he truly felt five years ago.

Sabrina couldn’t believe what she was hearing right now. It was so hard for her to understand Dominique.

He hurt her. Broke her trust. Pretended to betray her. But he never wanted to let her go. And now, he was telling her, he never stopped loving her.

She could feel the bitterness inside her heart right now. Unable to control her emotions, Sabrina suddenly punched him on his chest.

"Damn you, Dom! Why are you making things more complicated now?!"

She kept punching him, her two fists pounding against his chest.

Dominique just stood there, confronting her every punch. She continued doing it for several minutes, just letting out all her frustrations.

When she finally got tired, Dominique suddenly pulled her into a hug, trapping her in his strong arms.

"I’m so sorry, Sab... I can’t let you go. I don’t want to let you go. This time, I want to be selfish. I thought all I needed was your forgiveness. But I was wrong. All I need is You. All of you. Even though you hate me and resent me... Please... can you give me another chance? Give me another chance to correct my mistakes. I will become a better husband. A better man... Please, Sabby. I’m begging you..."

Dominique tightened his grip on her body, afraid to let her go. He felt so miserable right now. Desperation could be seen in his eyes as he continued to beg her.

"I love you, Sabby. I love you so much... I don’t think I can live without you..." Dominique started to cry; his tears kept flowing down his face.
