His soul-Chapter 115: Gina’s money
It’s been three days since the police arrived at the Sanders home, everything seems calm and going as usual. Yohanes Sanders’ condition is also getting better.
Thank God.
At Patrick’s suggestion, now that Julian had hired two nurses specifically to take care of Yohanes, Patrick suggested that Julian could focus on work again. At least with the nurse at home Julian can calm down a bit and the decision is right, because now Julian can take care of all his work properly. In Yohanes’s treatment room, two CCTV cameras have been installed which are directly connected to Julian and Patrick’s cell phones, so they can both control the work of the nurses who take care of Yohanes.
Although Vanessa initially rejected the idea, which she thought was too much, in the end she couldn’t stop Julian from following Patrick’s advice.
"Have you read the news that many people have been talking about in the past three days, dear?" Vanessa asked Julian quietly while enjoying his breakfast.
Julian shook his head. "I don’t get to see things like that, my work in the office is piling up. What happened?"
Vanessa took out her cell phone and showed it to Julian. "You can just read it for yourself."
Because of Julian’s curiosity, he finally read the article shown by his wife, his green eyes widened when he read the main part of the article.
"No wonder the company is calm, it seems that the asshole is being investigated by the police," said Julian hoarsely, a hint of happiness evident in Julian’s voice when he knew Massimo del Cano was in trouble.
Hearing her father’s words made Selena, who had been just messing around with her food, suddenly hit the table.
"Selena!!" Julian snapped in a rising voice.
Selena stared at her father without blinking. "I don’t like Daddy to be happy at the expense of other people."
Julian raised an eyebrow. "Happy at the expense of others? What do you mean?"
"Right now Massimo del Cano is in trouble, Daddy should sympathize with him instead of being grateful like before!!" Selena replied curtly.
"Massimo del Cano is a bad person, Selena. Don’t you remember what he did to our family?" An annoyed Vanessa joined in.
Selena shifted her gaze from her father to her mother. "He’s not as bad as you think, and after all, what Massimo did to our family wasn’t solely his fault. He just ended the crazy pact Grandpa made..."
"Selena! Watch your words!!" Julian shrieked three octaves up, His eyes reddened at the princess’s words. He couldn’t believe that Selena would defend Massimo, who had clearly put the Sanders family in big trouble.
"Which words should I guard against, Daddy? What I said was true, it was our family that took advantage of the del Cano clan from the beginning. So if we now have to pay the rent for all our hotels to him it’s a natural thing and..."
Slap..
A hard slap from Vanessa’s hand suddenly landed on Selena’s face.
Gina and Rosa, who had been good listeners at the dinner table, immediately raised their heads when they heard the sound of the loud slap.
"You’ve really gone too far, Selena. Have you forgotten who was the person who panicked the most when they found out our family had to give half the profits from all our hotels to Massimo del Cano, huh?!" Vanessa said loudly, she didn’t understand why her daughter, who had hated Massimo from the start, suddenly stood up for him. "That man is a very dangerous mobster, Selena."
"The man Mommy calls the bad guy is the guy I like." Selena immediately responded quickly to her mother’s words.
"Are you crazy, Selena?!" Vanessa shouted again loudly.
"Yes, I’ve been crazy about him. From the first time I saw him I fell in love with him and mommy couldn’t stop me from liking him," Selena answered no less loudly before finally leaving the dining table leaving her parents to her room on the second floor.
Seeing her first daughter just leave while arguing, Vanessa immediately touched her chest which suddenly felt tight.
"Selena, why is she like that, honey?" Vanessa asked hoarsely at Julian who was already gripping her hand.
"Let Selena calm down first, after she calms down then we can talk again," said Julian softly.
Hearing the conversation between her stepmother and her father made Gina take a deep breath, she was really sick of seeing the intimacy shown by the husband and wife pair.
But because she had promised to be stronger than before, Gina tried not to be influenced. What he wanted right now was to find out who the person who had caused her grandmother’s death was. Gina didn’t care about Massimo anymore, for her that man was no longer in this world. Moreover, at this time Massimo is still at the police station for further investigation into the eviction case of 50 families living on the outskirts of the coastal city of Almeria, the largest eviction case in the last ten years. Somehow the case, which was closed 2 years ago, came back to the surface, as a result, all the heads of families who were victims of the evictions came back to the public and gave a lot of confusing statements that made the police have to intervene by directly calling and examined Massimo del Cano who was known to be the former buyer of the evicted houses.
What the hell Gina, you say you don’t care about Massimo, but how do you know what case Massimo is currently in?
Gina immediately coughed when she realized her stupidity, she couldn’t believe she was still thinking about that man again. A man that Gina decided to hate.
"Gina, what are you doing, honey?" asked Julian suddenly when he saw Gina coughing.
Vanessa immediately touched Julian’s shoulder. "Don’t ask questions yet, Julian. Let Gina drink first."
Julian nodded his head at his wife’s words, patiently waiting for Gina to finish drinking. After Gina wiped her lips with a handkerchief, Julian immediately grabbed Gina’s hand who happened to be sitting on her left.
"Be careful when you eat, don’t be like a baby," said Julian softly with a smile.
"Tsk, what a baby? Just say it’s tacky in this village to enjoy good food!" said Rosa curtly.
"Rose!" Vanessa warns her youngest daughter. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Rosa shrugged her shoulders. "What? Am I wrong?"
"You are always like this. Can’t you appreciate it, Gina? She is your sister, Rosa," Vanessa said again, in front of Julian the woman was always trying to show her affection for Gina.
"My sister is only Selena, not with her. She is Daddy’s daughter and a woman..."
"Rosa!!! Watch your words!!!" Julian immediately cut off Rosa’s words quickly. "Gina is officially registered as part of this family, her name is above you and Selena as the daughter of Sanders. You can’t be this rude to her."
"Her name is above mine and Selena’s name after successfully shifting Diego’s position, you cunning!!"
"Rosa, you can’t talk like that. Not when we’re eating like this, removing Diego’s name from our family list is Grandpa’s wisest decision. You can’t blame Daddy like this," Vanessa said hoarsely.
"Mom, why is Mommy defending her like this? Diego was kicked out of our family because of her..."
"Not because of Gina, it’s his own fault. So stop blaming Gina." Julian interrupted Rosa’s conversation in a tone that went up two octaves. "This is the consequence that Diego must feel for having dared to break all the rules made in this family and not just Diego, if you or Selena make the same mistake that tarnishes our family’s good name then you must be ready to give up your last name."
"Really? Then what if it’s Daddy’s favorite child who does something wrong? Will she also be kicked like you kicked Diego out of this house?" Selena asked from the stairs, Selena who was already beautiful and ready to leave suddenly interrupted her father’s words.
Reflexively Julian and Vanessa and Rosa turned towards the stairs where Selena was. Meanwhile, Gina, who was sitting facing the stairs, only had to turn her gaze towards Selena without turning her head.
"We are also Daddy’s children like her, but why does Daddy always treat her like a golden child? Daddy is really picky, since she came to our house Daddy’s attitude has changed."
"Daddy doesn’t show favoritism, Selena. Daddy treats the three of you fairly, you don’t talk like that. Gina hasn’t gotten Daddy’s love for years, so if Gina is getting Daddy’s love right now, neither you nor Rosa should be jealous. After all, the love that Daddy gives to the three of you is the same," Vanessa said quickly, Vanessa’s sentence was meant to calm Selena. But actually the words that came out of her lips were a sharp satire for Gina, Vanessa is really good at talking.
Damn!
And just as Vanessa had hoped, Gina’s face turned red. It seemed that the words that Vanessa had said earlier had been digested well by Gina.
"No mom, the love that has been given is not the same. Daddy loves Gina more than me and Selena," said Rosa quickly, her eyes staring intently at Gina.
"Not the same what?" Gina asked quite loudly. "Precisely since I came to this house I have never received the love and attention like you guys, it’s been almost four months I’ve lived with you. How many cars did Daddy buy for the two of you, hm? Look at me? I don’t have anything, I’m not jealous of your beautiful cars. It’s just that I wonder why you both always say that Daddy loves me more than I do. In fact, Daddy spoils you much more than I do. You can ask Daddy right now how much money he gives me every month."
Blar
Vanessa’s heart skipped a beat, her face turning as pale as paper when Gina spoke. Her plan to hurt Gina’s heart actually backfired on her this time.
Julian, who feels that he always gives money to Gina, immediately turns to Vanessa who is already sweating cold.
"What Gina said is true, Vanessa? Where is the money for Gina that I gave you? And yes, I just remembered, why has the car you ordered for Gina not arrived yet?" asked Julian repeatedly to Vanesa.
"Car?" Gina repeated her father’s words unconsciously.
"Yeah, Daddy didn’t just give Selena and a new car a taste. Daddy also bought a car for you too, darling," Julian answered quickly with a smile, Julian’s gaze returned to his wife. "Why do you keep quiet, Vanessa? Why didn’t you give all the money for Gina to her? You weren’t trying to trick me, were you?"
