His soul-Chapter 137: University of Barcelona
University of Barcelona, 11.00 AM.
After driving for almost 45 minutes, finally the car carrying Julian and his two daughters arrived at one of the best universities in Barcelona, when they arrived the campus was busy because today was the first registration day for new students.
"Are you guys ready?" Julian asked excitedly to both Gina and Selena.
"I don’t like this campus, Daddy," Selena replied annoyed, she still didn’t accept being admitted to the same campus as Gina.
"This is the best university in town, Selena," said Julian quickly. "How about you Gina? You like this campus, don’t you?"
Gina smiled. "Not bad."
"Of course, Daddy knows you’ll like it. Even though this college isn’t as popular as Oxford university, it’s no less great than that college, my dear."
"I know," Gina replied with a curt smile.
Selena just kept quiet, she didn’t talk. Since knowing that she would be admitted to the same campus as Gina this morning while eating together, Selena’s spirit suddenly disappeared, according to her, no matter how good the campus, if she had to study at the same campus as Gina, the campus would be ugly in her eyes. Selena doesn’t want to be compared to Gina.
However, because she couldn’t fight against her pushy father, Selena finally relented, moreover her mother also supported her father’s decision to stay in the same college with Gina. With lazy steps, Selena walked behind Julian and Gina who looked very excited. Although Selena saw a handsome young man several times but still it didn’t make her much better, Gina really made her mood shattered.
Gina couldn’t help but smile when she saw the major she would take while studying at the University of Barcelona, as well as Selena. Gina’s dream to become a veterinarian has been dashed, because now her father has put her in the Department of Economics while Selena is majoring in Business and management.
"How about you, you don’t have a problem with your major, do you? You like it, don’t you, honey?" asked Julian, knowingly.
Gina smiled widely, she didn’t know what to say. Gina didn’t want to disappoint her father if she said no, finally Gina was forced to agree to the question her father asked.
"Thankfully, it turns out that Daddy’s choice was not wrong. And for you Selena majoring in business and management is one of your dream majors, isn’t it?"
"Yes."
"So you’re okay, right?" Julian asked again.
Selena rolled her eyes and glared at her father. "Of course there is, she is my problem," Selena replied curtly while pointing at Gina. "As long as I’m in the same college with her, then it’s a big problem for me." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"Selena," Julian growled. "Gina, your sister, if you don’t want to go to the same university as Gina, you won’t be allowed to go to college and Daddy will just marry your boyfriend Kyle."
"No, I don’t want to marry Kyle. I’m tired of him," Selena half shouted as she stomped her foot on the ground firmly.
Julian raised an eyebrow. "Haven’t you two been in a relationship long enough?"
"Indeed, but I’m tired of him. Besides, I already have another ideal man who deserves to be the husband of a Selena," Selena answered confidently.
"Who is that man?" asked Julian curiously.
Selena chuckled. "Secret, when the time comes I’ll tell Daddy."
Julian shook his head, he chuckled at Selena’s attitude which he thought was joking. Julian doesn’t know that Selena likes Massimo, the man she was originally set up with.
Because Julian still had some work to do and his two daughters had to stay on campus for the registration process, Gina was lucky to have joined the Sanders family so she didn’t have any difficulties when applying for college. When the name Sanders was pinned on Gina, with the help of a personal lawyer Julian asked to change Gina’s citizenship from a British citizen to a Spanish citizen.
Gina and Selena also followed a series of new student admissions procedures, they were asked to take photos and conduct interviews twice as part of the registration process. As one of the well-known businessmen, Julian’s current existence has a considerable influence on his two daughters. Because of that, their registration process is very prioritized at this time, like the children of high-ranking officials and other businessmen’s children.
In stark contrast to the students who are outside at the moment, they have to queue and strictly follow the applicable procedures.
"Ok, Miss Sanders, you both have been successfully accepted into this campus." said one of the new admissions officers to Gina and Selena in a friendly manner.
"Thank you," Gina replied politely with a smile.
The man then placed two envelopes on the table. "In this envelope there are some important things that new students must have, I have written both of your names on each envelope."
"What’s in it? It’s too much," said Selena curtly.
"It contains a student identification card, with that card both of you can get lunch for free in the canteen. The only requirement is to show your student card to the staff in the canteen after that you can enjoy any food in the canteen." The man also explained the use of the student ID cards given to Gina and Selena.
"Very practical," said Gina spontaneously while looking at her student card.
"Uncouth." Selena immediately responded to Gina’s words curtly. "Like I’ve never seen such a card, as long as you know that my unlimited credit card is far more powerful than that crappy card."
The officer’s face turned red when he heard Selena’s words, he didn’t like Selena’s arrogant words. While Gina could only shake her head and had no intention of responding to Selena’s words again because she was sure her business would be much longer if she commented on Selena’s words.
Because the task has been completed, the young man left Selena and Rosa to return to his work.
"Watch your attitude, Selena. This is a campus not at home, you can’t go around like that," said Gina coldly warning.
Selena who was sitting back in her chair with her arms folded across her chest immediately turned to Gina. "You’re nothing, Gina. You can’t control me."
"I’m your sister, have you forgotten?"
"Fuck, I already told you I don’t have a sister like you. My sister is only Rosa, while you’re just an illegitimate child born to a cheap woman who..."
Selena’s words stopped when suddenly Gina gripped her jaw tightly in a fast motion so she couldn’t hear anything avoided by Selena.
"L-let go..."
"I warn you, Selena. Don’t you ever slander my mother, my mother is far more honorable than your mother. If you still vilify my mother then I will not stay silent and you will regret it, you don’t know how dangerous I am. All this time I was silent and patient with your attitude at home, but I didn’t stay silent when my mother was insulted and vilified. Do you understand?!"
