"Selena."

Selena who had just lowered one leg to the ground turned to Rosa who had just called out to her. "Yes."

"Don’t tell Daddy we both just came from the police station."

Selina smiled. "I know, Daddy doesn’t need to know if Mommy is trying to get us to hate him."

Rosa nodded her head slowly in response to Selena’s words, because it was getting very late. Rosa finally caught up with Selena to immediately enter Massimo and Gina’s house which is now their temporary residence. Because it was very late, the situation in the house was very quiet, there was no activity to be seen. Everyone was sleeping in their respective beds except the guards who were always patrolling outside the house.

Selena and Rosa walked carefully, they both tried not to make a sound when they stepped into the house. Selena, who had arrived in front of her room, rushed to enter, so she could quickly rest leaving Rosa who was still walking towards her room. Just as Rosa was about to enter her room, suddenly her cell phone rang. Rosa immediately grabbed her cell phone from her pocket to see who was calling her.

"Gina," Rosa muttered quietly.

"Hello..."

"Are you in the room?"

"Eh?"

On the other end of the phone Gina chuckled. "I saw you and Selena getting out of the car, so I can tell when you’re home."

Rosa swallowed her saliva. "You’re awake?"

"I woke up thirsty."

Rosa glanced at the watch wrapped around her left hand. "No wonder my nephew is thirsty, yes."

Gina chuckled. "Yeah... hmmm Rosa, can you talk to me for a minute?"

"Speaking? It’s getting late Gina, is your husband really..."

"Massimo just slept, he won’t know I’m out. There’s something I want to talk to you about, you’re not sleepy yet, right?" Gina repeated her question.

"No, I’m not a sleepy little kid. Wait for me, I’ll go up to the second floor," answered Rosa quickly.

"Okay."

Rosa put her cell phone back into her pocket, after that she hurriedly walked towards the stairs to go up to the second floor. Approaching Gina who is currently out of her room.

Rosa’s breath hitched a little after running a little on the stairs, seeing that Gina just smiled a little.

"Why run, Rosa. What if you fall, hm?"

Rose smiled. "I was trained when I was in college, you know that as medical students we have to be agile?"

"Yes, yes, doctor, I’m sorry," said Gina slowly. "Come on let’s sit down, it doesn’t feel good if we talk while standing."

Rosa nodded quickly, she immediately grabbed Gina’s body and hugged her tightly as she walked to the sofa which was not far from where she was standing.

"So what do you want to talk about?"

Gina smiled. "Where are you and Selena from? Why are you home so late?"

"From the hotel, dropping Patricia," Rosa answered quietly.

"After from the hotel where?"

"Gina..."

"From the police station, huh?" guessed Gina quickly.

Rosa’s face immediately changed." Gina..."

"It’s ok, I won’t be angry, Rosa. After all, what you are visiting is your mother, even though Aunt Vanessa is your biological mother and Selena. So it feels natural for you to visit her," said Gina softly. .

Rosa lowered her head. "But Mommy didn’t expect us, Gina."

"What does it mean?"

Rosa looked up at Gina with teary eyes, after taking a deep breath Rosa then told Gina what had happened at the police station. While Rosa was talking, Gina chose to be quiet and be a good listener. Gina wanted to let Rosa out of all her heart, since the beginning Gina saw Rosa and got out of the car she could tell if someone was bothering Rosa.

"I really can’t believe Mommy to vilify Grandma and Grandpa who have provided all the comforts for Mommy, even if Grandma and Grandpa weren’t there at that time, Mommy and Diego might already be living on the streets," said Rosa quietly.

"Living on the streets?"

Rose nodded. "Selena has told me everything, it turns out that when she married Daddy, her family was already bankrupt. Mommy was married to Daddy to cover all the debts her family had."

Rosa bit her lower lip hard, Gina’s words made Rosa unable to speak.

"So you guys just went to the police station not to the hospital, huh?"

"Hospital, why go to the hospital?" asked Rosa confused.

"Diego."

"No, Selena doesn’t want to see Diego," Rosa answered quickly.

"Why?"

Rosa shrugged her shoulders. "I don’t know, I didn’t ask why. Maybe Selena was just too disappointed in Diego."

Gina pursed her lips, trying to understand Selena’s decision. Because her curiosity has been answered, Gina then invites Rosa to sleep. Gina didn’t want to make Rosa sick from sleeping too late.

After Rosa came down the stairs, Gina then stepped into the room to go back to sleep with Massimo. Gina smiled when she saw Massimo still sleeping in the same position she had left him.

"I’m sorry, Massimo. I’m sorry that my family has always troubled you. I hope that after all my family problems are over we can live in peace," Gina said quietly, her eyes looking sadly at Massimo while touching Massimo’s face that looked so tired.

Massimo moved when he felt Gina’s soft hand on his face, his eyes slowly opened. Even though it was a little foggy, Massimo could recognize Gina’s beautiful face smiling at him.

"What’s the matter, honey? Do you need anything?" asked Massimo hoarsely.

Gina shook her head. "There is not anything."

"Then why wake me up?"

"I didn’t wake you, I just wanted to touch your face. You look really tired," Gina replied softly. "Forgive me and my family, we’ve kept you in trouble ever since you married me."

Massimo frowned, slowly he got up and sat up straight looking at Gina who was leaning on the bed.

"Just so you know, before I married you, your family was tied to mine tens of years ago. So it’s wrong if you say I got into trouble after marrying you, your family has been a bother to my family for a long time. Therefore stop saying that you have involved me in problem," Massimo said seriously. "You are my wife, every problem you face is my problem too. We have promised to accompany each other in times of joy and sorrow before God, on our wedding day. You haven’t forgotten that, have you?" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"I love you Gina, I love you so much. So please don’t doubt me, everything I do is for the good of our little family. Even though I’ve lived a very disgusting life but believe me right now in my life there is only you, don’t hesitate to share your problems with me. Lean on me, Gina. Unexpectedly Gina put her hands on both of Massimo’s cheeks, she slowly pulled Massimo’s face towards hers and landed a kiss on Massimo’s lips for a long time.
