His soul-Chapter 575: New Habit

Julian, who initially did not know about Vanessa’s accident, finally heard the news from notifications on social media that filled his cellphone. People who knew that Vanessa was Julian’s ex-wife then marked the news of the deadly accident on Julian’s social media accounts, that’s why when Julian opened his cellphone, Julian immediately found out the terrible news.

Without taking a shower first, Julian then rushed out of his room to ask Massimo the truth of the news.

"Martin!" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Martin, who was preparing to go up to the second floor immediately stopped in his tracks when Julian called his name.

"Good morning, Sir." Martin greeted Julian so politely.

"My son-in-law, is he awake?"

Martin smiled, hearing Julian give such an intimate name to Massimo pleased Martin. "Apparently not yet, sir."

Julian then looked at the clock on his cellphone which showed seven in the morning.

"Last night Mr. Massimo and I worked a few minutes before Mr. finally went up to his room, sir," added Martin again.

"I see, it’s no wonder he hasn’t woken up yet. Massimo seems tired, lately he’s been so busy taking care of the Sanders family that he’s been neglecting all his work. I’ve been really bothering him," Julian muttered quietly.

"You are Mr. Massimo’s father-in-law, you are no one else. Your problem is Mr. Massimo’s too, so don’t talk like that, sir. Mr. Massimo will be sad to hear that."

Julian smiled. "You’re just like Massimo, Martin."

"I’m just speaking facts, sir," Martin answered quickly.

"Oh yeah, there’s one thing I want to ask you," said Julian seriously. "Have you read the news about the prisoner’s car accident that brought Vanessa to prison?"

Martin, who had expected to get a question like that from Julian then changed his facial expression to be more serious. "Mr Massimo and I heard about it last night moments after the car was declared on fire because it had an accident and killed everyone in the car including Vanessa, but until now we have not received a more detailed report regarding the truth of the news of Vanessa’s death. Last night when we got information about the accident, the car was still on fire and had not been able to be extinguished because the fire brigade had a bit of difficulty getting to the place."

Julian’s expression immediately changed. "Why didn’t you two tell me about the accident last night?"

"Daddy was asleep last night," said Massimo quietly ahead of Martin, Julian and Martin immediately turned towards the stairs where Massimo was standing in the middle of the stairs. "I couldn’t bear to wake Daddy up just to tell him the news, that’s why Martin and I didn’t tell Daddy."

"What do you think?"

Massimo raised one eyebrow. "What do you mean Daddy?"

"Vanessa, is that woman really dead?" Julian clarified his words.

Massimo smiled. "Before the police gave the information I didn’t dare speculate, Dad. Why would you ask like that?"

"Daddy just felt that if Vanessa wasn’t dead, that woman would be so cunning. She wouldn’t die that easily, living with her for more than twenty years made me know Vanessa inside and out. That’s why I’m not sure if she’s dead."

Not only was Martin surprised to hear Julian’s words, Massimo was just as surprised as Martin. He didn’t expect his father-in-law to have the same thoughts as him.

"We’d better wait for further information from the police to be more sure, Dad," said Julian quietly.

"Yes, but while waiting I want you to tighten your guard. We don’t know what will happen out there, even though Diego is dead but the information regarding Vanessa’s death is still confusing. Daddy doesn’t want anything untoward to happen, especially at this time Gina’s pregnancy condition is getting bigger. We have to be even more careful with strangers."

Massimo’s face immediately changed when his father-in-law mentioned Gina’s pregnancy, which was already in its third trimester.

"I’ve tightened the guard since last night, Dad. Don’t worry, Gina and my baby are my full responsibility, they are both my most important priority right now," Massimo said again hoarsely.

"Daddy trusts you, Massimo."

Massimo smiled, when he was about to discuss another matter, suddenly Massimo heard the sound of Gina’s footsteps approaching. Massimo quickly turned his face towards Gina who had finished bathing.

"Are you done showering?"

Gina nodded slowly. "Yeah and now I...uh Daddy, what are you guys doing on the stairs? You’re not talking about business, are you?"

Julian pursed his lips. "There’s no way we can talk business in a place like this, honey."

"If you’re not talking about business then what are you guys discussing? Don’t tell me you’re discussing ..."

"Ugggghh.." Julian suddenly screamed, interrupting Gina’s words.

"Daddy, Daddy why?"

Julian, who was holding his stomach while lowering his head raised his face to look at Gina. "Daddy has to go to the toilet, Daddy’s stomach suddenly can’t be compromised."

"Eh?"

Massimo chuckled. "Daddy has to go to the toilet honey."

Julian smiled faintly at Massimo’s words, without wasting time Julian immediately went from that place to his room trying to avoid discussing Vanessa with Gina. Seeing Julian leave, Martin did the same. He did not want to be a nuisance to the master and the madam who were making out.

Since Julian and Martin had already left, Massimo then approached Gina who was standing at the end of the stairs. "Take a bath with me, okay?"

Gina’s face immediately reddened. "Massimo!"

Massimo chuckled. "Don’t think perverted, honey. I just asked for a bath company, nothing else."

"Who’s a pervert?" fiercely annoyed Gina. "I’ve taken a bath, that’s why I refuse to accompany you to bathe!"

"My love...listen to me, I’m not asking you to take a shower anymore. I’m just asking to be accompanied by a bath."

"Isn’t it the same," Gina grumbled in annoyance.

"Of course it’s different, love. I asked you to wait for me in the room when I showered, not asking you to take another bath with me. Unless you really want to take another bath with me," said Massimo without shame.

Gina hit Massimo in the chest furiously. "You really are annoying."

"But you love me, right?"

Gina hit her husband’s chest again who was smiling in annoyance. "Okay, let’s take a shower, I’m hungry."

"Hungry? Do you want to eat first?"

Gina shook her head. "I don’t want to eat alone."

Massimo pursed his lips, when Daisy suddenly appeared from the side door Massimo immediately raised her hand to call the butler to prepare a snack for the room so Gina could eat it. Massimo doesn’t have the heart if Gina has to endure her hunger, Massimo knows that pregnant women who have entered their third trimester like Gina are currently hungry more often.

Gina pursed her lips as she heard Massimo order Daisy to prepare some food for her.

"Let’s go to our room, okay. Later Daisy will deliver food for you," said Massimo with a smile.

Gina nodded, with a smile on her lips Gina stepped back into the room with Massimo who was hugging her waist. Gina is waiting for the right time to interrogate Massimo, Gina knows that her husband was discussing Vanessa’s problem with her father.
