House of The Dragon-A God Amongst Men-Chapter 182: Feast of Dangers II
Chapter 182 - Feast of Dangers II
(Third Person POV)
"Do you seriously think he's that lustful to actually be looking at a girl like Viserra?" Alyssa whispered to Baelon, "That seems rather unlikely."
Baelon shrugged, "He's a man." He said, "He has Maegelle, Saera, and two other women. I would not put it beneath him."
"She's ten and three..." Alyssa said
"So what?" Baelon said, "Viserra is beautiful, many men older than Drakken are looking at her that way."
"You say that as if it is okay." Alyssa frowned
"All I am saying is that it is a possibility." Baelon said, "If that's not the case, then great. If it is, we cannot do much."
Alyssa sighed, "You men...."
Baelon smiled, "You look great." He said, "Are you sure you are fine? You should be resting."
"I am fine." She said as she looked down, flustered, "I hope Aegon is okay."
"He should be fine." Baelon chuckled, "Our boys are strong. What is a night without their mother?"
Alyssa was about to speak when there were gasps among the crowd of Highborns that were in attendance. They both turned to see that their younger sister, Viserra, was walking inside the hall, wearing a beautiful white and gold dress.
Her hair was draped over her shoulders, neatly combed as it glowed due to the reflection of the light. Despite her stature, Viserra's posture was straight and tall, her neutral face resulted in a beautful expression that caused any Lordling to simply stare in pure awe.
Viserra Targaryen was akin to a Goddess that night, her beauty easily matching that of her sisters, perhaps surpassing it. Those who had no wives were eager to gain her favor and they were immediately smitten by the Princess.
Baelon tilted his head, "Still think he wouldn't want to make a move on her?" He asked Alyssa, "She has the attention of every man here."
"Drakken is no mere man." Alyssa said, "And you know it."
Baelon was about to respond when there was another gasp. Everyone would then turn to see Saera Targaryen approaching the floor, wearing the same silver dress she showed off to Drakken earlier that day. Everyone was immediately drawn to the fact that was a beautiful dress and also quite revealing.
As she walked with an attitude that befitted herself, everyone could only see the way her golden necklace bounced slightly. They noticed how it matched the glow of her skin, which Alyssa knew what it meant.
"Hm." Baelon crossed his arms, "Look at this one. She's in a great mood....."
Alyssa nodded, "She is....but gods, she looks good."
Saera approached Viserra and everyone watched as the two sisters began to converse with each other with smiles on their faces.
Baelon looked around, "Tch...." He said, "He's going to make an entrance, isn't he?"
"What do you think?" Alyssa said
As they nervously awaited the arrival of Drakken, Saera was holding her sister's hand.
"You seem anxious, sister." Saera said with a smile
"Is it obvious?" Viserra asked with a frown
"To me, I believe." Saera said, "All of these cretins will not be able to tell. To think that Father would so willingly put you on the market so young...."
Viserra sighed, "I just wish to get this over with." She said, "I have other things to do."
They heard someone clear their throat and turned around, seeing some Lordlings approaching them.
"Princesses...." One of them said, "It is an honor to be in the presence of beauties such as yourselves."
Saera flicked her hair back, showing her collarbone off, "Hmph." She said, "You need to try harder than that to swoon us. Do you truly think you would be worthy of my sister?"
The Lordlings were taken aback by this, and two Lords appeared from the side.
"You twerps would not be able to handle these princesses." One of them chuckled, "I, on the other hand...."
Viserra scowled, "How crude..." she said, "Just who do you think you are?"
Saera eyed the Lords up and down, "Pathethic, begone from my sight." She waved them off, "My sister is not interested."
"Well, I could show her a pleasant time if she gives me a chance. A nice ride among the pastures outside my keep." The Lord said, "I have quite the collection of stallions she could choose from."
"You look to be more than twice her age, you pleb." Saera said, "And we have dragons, we don't need horses."
The Lordlings chuckled among themselves and the Lord scowled.
"You dare laugh?!" He exclaimed, "I will-"
He was cut off by the feeling of cold air running behind him, his entire body shuddering as the entire hall became quiet.
Everyone, the Royal Family included, looked over to see a lone figure standing in front of the doors.
With his hands in his pockets, Drakken stood there, menacingly as his eyes were glowing slightly, unsettling those present. He wore a different attire than usual yet still black in color. Instead of the usual coat he wears, he had a different one with a fur cape that was work on his side. The fur was silver and black in color and the rest of the cape was a black silk.
His pants were a clean and dark leather as his button-up shirt had several adornments on it. He had dark colored boots that had a shine to them, as if they were freshly cleaned.
He simply stood there, staring ahead as everyone were looking at him in silence.
His gaze then fixated on Saera and he simply walked towards her, paying no attention to anyone else. As he walked, his steps emitted a black mist-like aura that many were shocked by. To them, the infamous God of War and Death has finally revealed himself.
Drakken reached Saera, who stood next to Viserra. The Young Princess was taken aback by the presence of Drakken, who simply paid no mind to her.
"Ah, my love." Saera said as she leaned her back against Drakken, having his arm wrap around her waist, "Show these plebs who you are."
"Love?" The Lord said, "This....person..?"
Viserra was looking directly at Drakken, whose eyes were gazing past her and towards somewhere else. She said nothing but her expression told a thousand words; she was amazed by him.
"The God of War and Death...." One of the Lordlings said, "The one who destroyed Driftmark...."
"What?" The Lord said, "What the hell is he doing here?!"
"Silence, scum." Saera scowled, "My Love can be wherever he desires."
Drakken slowly looked at the Lords and Lordlings, his cold red eyes unsettling them.
He narrowed his eyes,
"And who are these worms?"
