Two weeks have passed since I got the surgery done and since Zero died. It hasn’t felt the same since it all happened but I haven’t used it as an excuse in any shape or form.

I’ve been searching throughout the streets for any signs of where Vantablade truly is hiding out. The time I stole this chip from them was different since it was right before a deal was made with another gang.

But regardless I haven’t found a single trace of them since then and have been on the hunt for them. I’ve learned how to utilize some nice aspects of speed magic, something the chip in my head educated me on.

Getting used to killing was one of the hardest things to do over the last two weeks but it has been the most efficient way to get stronger. The speed magic that was taught to me through these special courses made it a lot easier to accomplish these kills.

Now I’m currently watching over another exchange between two gangs.

I didn’t think Vantablade would be hard to find with how loud they are as a gang altogether but it seems I was mistaken. Of course the one gang I’m looking for is impossible to find all of a sudden.

This meeting between rotorheads and the silver wolves is definitely something different. None of them are helpful enough for me to find out where the blades are.

~Wouldn’t it be a lot easier to just interrogate some of these gang members.

No. Most won’t rat on one another, that’s just not how they are. Most gangs take very serious precautions to make sure they don’t have to handle a situation like that.

Means only those who can truly be trusted are brought into the gang in the first place.

~You are starting to catch some attention too, I hope you are aware. I do get what you are saying in terms of snitches.

Being known isn’t always a bad thing since it means they won’t want to deal with me. Lotus/9 is the only major concern at the moment since the others are on the far side of Kairox.

They won’t leave their little bubbles to come handle someone like me. Most people I’ve killed haven’t really been important enough for anyone to care.

This deal is quite boring though. The audio hasn’t picked up anything useful either so this might just be a waste of time.

"Karma has been making a lot of noise lately. They even asked us about getting something for them, what do you think that’s about?" Someone’s voice came in through the static.

Karma. That name is very familiar. Karma.exe, I remember hearing rumors of that gang before. They haven’t really done much out in the streets that it would catch my attention.

I’ve heard they don’t tend to act like a gang very much but they are definitely strong.

It sounds like they are preparing for something in some way though, that could be kind of interesting. It wouldn’t do me any good though.

Chip I need you to try to find any traces of this Karma group. I’d like to do some scouting.

~Already working on it. I’ve come to know you quite well Renji. I’ve managed to pinpoint the last location that potential members of "Karma.exe" were located.

~Location routing is down. You should see it.

Yep. I’ll come back around to Vantablade later on, this isn’t helpful to me right now anyway so it is time to get going.

I made my way across the rooftops without anyone noticing me and it took me quite some time to reach this last known location. It was pretty far away from most gang territories so it was definitely unique.

~Potential Threat behind--

The voice cuts out the moment I turn around to see someone staring right at me with a strange silver fox like mask. Purple eyes glowing just like the purple along my mask.

"Who might you be?" The man asked with a robotic voice.

"I could ask you the same thing." I responded while already aiming my gun at his head.

"You’re fast as well. That we both seem to share equally." He said with a blade up to my neck.

This guy seems to have some sort of mana modification as well but I couldn’t exactly tell where at just yet. I’m willing to bet that he is one of Karma.exe’s members.

I didn’t think they’d have someone like him around to keep people away from scouting. I’ll need to play this cautiously since I don’t want to draw any attention from these people.

"I’ll give you a name if you give me one." I replied with a serious tone.

"Rezex, now you." He said without wasting a second.

"Wraith." I replied.

He moved his knife away almost instantly as he took a few steps back. It was positive that in that moment he knew if me already.

"Why would someone like you be here? You’ve never gone after anyone in Karma before and it doesn’t follow your previous kills by any means." Rezex said while now holding a pistol.

"I was checking something out. Karma isn’t my goal in the slightest but a gang exchange mentioned something about them." I responded while keeping my guard up.

"So word is spreading of the plan. I told them it was dumb but it is fine. I appreciate you giving me that information." Rezex said with a genuine tone.

I can’t really get a good read off of this guy so I don’t know how to approach this at all. He should be more cautious but he even knows the kind of people I killed before.

"So what exactly is this plan that Karma is cooking up?" I asked with a curious tone.

"I don’t think you are a threat but I also don’t trust you enough to share that, Even if Karma pisses me off." Rezex answered without hesitation.
