HUNTED-Chapter 330: Making Up For Lost Time
"Mum!" Aila groaned, covering her face as her cheeks reddened. Mandy seemed to almost skip back through the door, whistling a happy tune.
"At least it wasn’t Andy," Damon murmured, looking down at his naked body, only covered by the bedsheet at his waist and Aila’s body. It was apparent what they’d been up to first thing in the morning. He was right. Although they were all adults, having her dad burst into the room was worse.
But Andy wasn’t like her mum, who also knew she should wait downstairs. Aila moved to look at her phone on the bedside table, revealing it to be 8am. She shook her head. Mandy and Andy weren’t supposed to be there until 10am, but she wasn’t annoyed by it; her parents didn’t want to wait any longer to see their daughter.
Although they’d already heard Aila’s voice on the phone, nothing beat seeing they’re safe and well like in person. Boy, did her mother know now that she was perfectly fine with her naked mate in bed.
"We shouldn’t keep them waiting. How are you feeling?" Aila asked Damon in concern. She eyed his neck, feeling guilty for drinking so much from him, but she lost all her willpower the moment he’d entered her.
It hadn’t been scary, though, like when she became bloodthirsty and almost drained the feeders. It was a blissful state like she’d already orgasmed while drinking from her mate. She knew from the bond that he’d also enjoyed it but what about now?
Was he freaking out over it? Damon had made it known when they first met that he didn’t like vampires. He might be okay with her being a hybrid but were her fangs shocking to see?
"Really? You think so low of our mate?" Malia popped up, disapproving of Aila’s thoughts. It wasn’t that she thought lowly of her mate, but there was some trepidation after returning from Cassius and needing blood occasionally.
"Stop it." Damon pulled her back to him, so she pressed against him again and started leaving kisses all over her face. "Your fangs are sexy." He kissed her lips. "You’re sexy."
Beneath her, she felt Damon’s length grow again, making her giggle and shake her head, slapping his chest. "We need to go. We can’t-"
Damon rolled over, so she lay beneath him again. "Want to bet? I can make it quick." I don’t want to, his inner thoughts told her.
Aila rolled her eyes and pouted like he was disturbing her time. Damon didn’t wait any longer before his shaft was spreading her tight core again with a slight groan and comment about her wetness.

Fifteen minutes later, Damon and Aila made it to the living room, dressed and freshly showered. The rest of the pack was training, instructed by Beta Kane and Gamma Chiara. Though most of their pack members looked like they were going to hurl from the patio door, they could see them through.
Andy was watching them with a cup in his hand, and Mandy was on the sofa sewing, or so her powers seemed to be putting the needle through the material in her lap while Mandy sipped on her tea, scrolling through her phone. At their appearance, Andy was the first to turn around and bare his neck before placing the cup on the coffee table and pulling his daughter into a bear hug.
"That’s twice you’ve been kidnapped," he growled, his inner wolf feeling overly protective. "Did that bastard do anything to you?" He pulled back and looked at her in concern.
"Oh, I think Damon did a lot.." Mandy giggled, earning a confused look from Andy before she waved her hand. "Don’t mind me, dear."
Aila’s cheeks reddened as he mother came forwards and hugged her. "No, I was fine," Aila murmured, responding to her dad’s original question.
"Now it seems the whole world is in chaos, though. What was he thinking?" Mandy shook her head disapprovingly. "The witches and shapeshifters must be fuming."
"The world knows about us now. We just need to work out what to do next." Aila said as she sat down beside her mum on the sofa; her dad sat on the other side, leaving Damon to go to the kitchen. His bare feet slapped against the marble floors echoing through the mansion and its high ceilings.
"Do you know what to do next?" Andy asked, watching her with pride in his eyes even though concern caused his brows to draw together.
"I have an idea, but I don’t know if anyone else will agree." Aila had thought it through the last week. They had to do something quickly before more like-minded people, similar to those hunters that preferred killing supernatural creatures, started turning into mobs, and this turned into a witch hunt.
Cassius was right to some degree, though Aila would not look at humans as inferior or want to rule over them. The supernatural creatures were much stronger, and their numbers were still great, not as great as humans populating the world, but enough to make them feel threatened. It needed to be resolved quickly.
"Chase is coming over tomorrow. I want to see his view on what I’m thinking," Aila added, then smiled as Damon returned with two coffees, passing one to her before sitting in the new armchair.
Aila assumed he broke that as well. The tv was also new and bigger on the wall.
Finn also turned up, guarding them against the side, making Aila roll her eyes. She expected Ajax to also come into the room, seeing as they seemed to come in a pair, but he didn’t. As though the Delta read her thoughts, he mind-linked her.
"Ajax is playing with the children. You know, the ones we rescued from the hunters’ compound." Only a few still remained. A few whose parents seemed to be missing or more than likely dead. Others were back with their families, but Ajax and Chiara seemed to care for them like they were their own, making them look more like their very own family.
It was sweet, and Aila had seen over the last few days how happier Chiara was with the shapeshifter and the children by her side. Even when she had been grumpy with the rogues’ arrival.
Finn’s phone rang in his pocket. "Sorry." He looked at the screen, and his eyes lit up instantly, turning him into a lovestruck puppy. "Erm.. Can I..."
Aila waved him off, and though Damon looked a little irritated, he didn’t comment.
"I’ll guard from over here," Finn added, looking at the Alpha-Luna pair sheepishly. Aila thought it was still a little silly. He guarded her in the pack house. They were surrounded by guards, and she was now a hybrid, more capable now looking after herself.
But she didn’t comment about it, smiling when she heard Finn’s mate speak to him on the other end of the phone call.
"Well, we trust whatever decision you make," Andy said, continuing on from the conversation before.
For the rest of the day, Aila and Damon spent their time with Andy and Mandy, and when night fell, she did offer them a room, but Mandy stated she didn’t want to hear all of the pack leaders and their sex lives. Damon did offer them one of the guest houses, but they declined, needing to get back for the shop’s opening times the next day.
"How about staying for dinner, at least? The chefs make some tasty dishes," Aila offered. They were about to decline until Damon spoke up.
"My mother and father are coming for dinner. I’m sure they’d love to see you guys again."
Aila frowned. She didn’t know his parents were coming. She shared a heated look with him, feeling annoyed. Not because she disliked the Alpha King and Queen but because she needed to look a bit more presentable and remain alert, which she was not right now.
After chilling in her usual black hoody and leggings, white hair pulled back in a bun and socialising with her parents all day, the hybrid felt drained. She needed some time to relax and put her ’face on’ before seeing Alpha Magnus and Luna Lillian.
"Oh, we cannot say no then! It’s been far too long since we last saw them!" Mandy clapped her hands together, excitement filling her features.
"We saw them at the coronation," Andy muttered as he started to remove his coat again and handed it to one of the staff to put away.
"Well, that was a bust!" Mandy rolled her eyes. "It would be nice to see them in a less formal setting as well."
Damon grinned his megawatt smile that made most women flustered. "They would like that too."
Aila narrowed her eyes slightly at him. Why was he smiling like that? It was suspicious.
"And panty-dropping!" Malia squealed. "It’s a good thing you’re wearing leggings."
"That still won’t stop me," Darius’ voice rumbled through her mind. Making Aila’s mouth drop open as she stared at her mate.
Damon smirked.
"Is everything okay, Aila?" Her mum asked.
"Umhmm." She nodded and turned away. "I just need to freshen up. If you need anything, just ask."
"We’ll be fine, honey. Go on," Mandy waved her off and started towards the kitchen where some of the pack members and the rogues, Esme and Harry, started chilling with her vampire guards in toll.
Aila rushed up the stairs to return to their bedroom until she was lifted in the air; her surroundings blurred until she faced Damon again, her legs automatically locking behind his back. He carried her the rest of the way, his hands squeezing her backside. "Everyone keeps taking your time. I want to keep your attention all to myself," he grumbled against her lips before pressing against them gently.
Aila’s chest warmed at his words. Although they had spent primarily every day together, she couldn’t deny these moments felt far too precious to her.
"We don’t have time.. Your parents.."
"Are on their way. We have time to snuggle, though, Right?" Damon replied with a low rumble in his voice.
"Your definition of snuggling and mine are very different," Aila murmured against his lips, feeling her body heating from his closeness and the sudden need to have him inside her.
What was wrong with them?
"Nothing. We’ve spent too long apart and are making up for it."
