HUNTED-Chapter 370: W.S.H.O (1)
The meeting was a success. Sitting around the table with monitors of other leaders across the globe and the leaders in person, they discussed anything and everything. To make the humans feel more comfortable and trusting of those who were ten times more powerful, they explained the basics of what each supernatural creature was and what they could do. Of course, none of them went into full detail.
They were not foolish enough to tell them of their weaknesses or what else they could do, like Gabriel’s extra abilities, such as telepathy, or Einar’s powers of almost stopping time and creating portals.
After voting for peace between the supernatural creatures and humans, which was the part that Aila worried over, they then continued the long yet, overdue meeting.
They spoke of the smallest concerns that didn’t seem that big to the supernatural creatures but were something that humans were wary of, to making decisions such as officially making the Hunters Association into the law enforcement between humans and the creatures. Laws were being implemented for those that harmed human or supernatural creatures.
The majority vote agreed upon the Hunters Association to be the law enforcement if it was ruled by Chase Hunt and those who believed in the same fairness as he did. Ajax also mentioned that because of their past misdeeds, they should be allowed to have each of their kind enter it to show equality.
The supernatural leaders knew this would not happen immediately, there had to be a great deal of trust for one of their own to join the force, but in time they hoped this would be the case.
Gabriel pointed out that wars between countries and humans should not involve supernatural creatures. They’d remained hidden all these years without involving themselves in human wars, and it shouldn’t change now. This caused a bit of a stir, and the meeting did continue into the evening with a few breaks.
That was something they would return to at a later date when this group would meet again, which they agreed should be every month, and then cut down to every three months once everything had calmed down. They returned to the meeting after a feast they all enjoyed, and instead of discussing the rest in the library, they moved to Aila’s office.
By then, Malcolm had been shown a guest room, and he left any other matters to Larissa and Ajax to fill him in on it after.
The last major discussion that took place ended up making Einar laugh loudly. His hair had been put into a ponytail by then, revealing that streak of white hair from before.
"You cannot be serious?" Einar grinned sharply, eyes gleaming in delight as he knocked back some brandy on the small mirrored table meant for only the pack leaders.
Everyone’s second or right-hand man stood behind them, the table large but not large enough for everyone. Larissa sat beside Einar, and Ajax stood like the gentleman he was. Luther wanted to sit, but Gabriel pierced him with a look, telling him it was not the time or place for his antics. Kane happily stood, seeming to stretch out his taut muscles.
The warlock stood and shook his head. "Magic does not work like that.." He trailed off, seeming to catch himself from giving a lecture to the rest of the room. Nobody there understood how the witches worked.
For Einar and the witches, it must be more nerve-wracking because of the witch hunts in the past. This was a big step for them, yet the warlock was here, ready to join this alliance.
Aila glanced at Gabriel and remembered that he and Esme seemed familiar with magic as well, but she did not know to what extent.
"Witches do not cast spells to win the lottery.." Einar huffed, rolling his eyes like the comment was bizarre.
It sounded bizarre to Aila, but she honestly didn’t know if witches could or not. She’d seen her mum’s work and Einar’s power in play before. Both were fascinating and, in Einar’s instance, a little scary.
Still, President Shane and the others on the monitors watched Einar like they didn’t believe him. Seeing this, the warlock rolled his eyes, amusement tugging at his lips but replied just as seriously. "I agree. Witches can only cast magic for good and cannot use it for immoral purposes.."
He seemed to really be refraining back from laughter. Aila wanted to ask him more about it, intrigued by it all, but he was trying to move this meeting along smoothly without upsetting the humans in the room.
"How will we know if.. witches and.. warlocks will abide by these rules?" A woman dressed in a black blazer and white shirt, sitting on one of the screens, asked.
Einar sighed. "I didn’t see you asking our dear friend Gabriel here if he will keep his vampires in line?"
The woman cleared her throat as many shifted nervously, and a few even seemed to agree with Einar’s words. "It was quite clear from the video footage a few weeks ago and from Mr Hunt’s statement that Gabriel has kept the vampires in line for centuries."
The footage that leaked to the press and was uploaded all over the internet revealed Gabriel’s sickening punishments. Many feared and idolised him. The officials did not need any more evidence to reveal he would put his people in place if they stepped out of line.
Einar leaned on the back of the chair, his gloved hands crossed over as his hair fell forwards. "I may not look it.. but I am just as old as Gabriel. I have been keeping our community in line for centuries.. amongst other things." His tone dropped as he looked at Aila and then moved his attention to Gabriel.
"I have known Einar a long time," Gabriel added. "In all that time, I have not seen any issues with the covens."
Einar’s and Gabriel’s comments seemed to placate them. Einar smirked, though he did not hide his annoyance.

"If that is all, should we conclude the meeting?" President Shane asked, eyes roaming across the leaders of their people.
