They began to emerge.
Then...
The earth shook.
A deafening crack split through the land as an enormous clawed hand erupted from the ground near the edge of the battlefield.
A second hand followed, digging into the scorched earth as a colossal figure began to pull itself free from the ground below.
Then another.
Across the battlefield, two monolithic beings... far larger than the stone guardians summoned by Ji Shuang began to emerge from the depths of the land.
The Paragons had returned.
The first to rise fully was a towering humanoid behemoth, nearly 500 meters tall and its body was forged from obsidian, as streaks of molten crimson pulsed through its jagged flesh like veins of lava.
Its eyes were twin pools of molten gold, and as it opened its mouth, an earth-shattering roar erupted, sending shockwaves that toppled structures and sent the vampires flying.
The second was a serpentine colossus, its form looked like a mixture of pale silver bones and shadow.
Its ribcage was exposed, yet its heart still beat with terrifying force.
Its gaping maw split open, revealing rows upon rows of fangs.
Rhudamanth’s normally stoic face darkened, his hands slowly curling into fists as his gaze flickered to Hei Xiu.
"What kind of madness have you summoned?"
Hei Xiu merely grinned with his arms still raised "You see it now, don’t you?"
His voice carried an eerie reverence "The Paragons were never truly gone. They merely slumbered. And now... they walk once more."
Ji Shuang clenched her fists and lightning arced violently around her body as her mind raced to comprehend what she was seeing.
The Paragons were not just summoned creatures.
They were fragments of something greater.
"We have to destroy them before they fully stabilize."
But before anyone could react, one of the Paragons turned its gaze toward her.
Its golden eyes burned and It lifted its colossal hand—
As it swung.
BOOOOOOOM!
The sheer force of the impact tore through the battlefield, disintegrating an entire section of the sect’s outer walls and creating a massive crater where countless vampires and disciples had once stood.
From his vantage point in the sky, Rhudamanth Di Gardia narrowed his gaze, looking at the monstrosities walking on the battlefield "Are they... what I think they are?"
"How is it possible?"
His eyes flickered to Hei Xiu, who was laughing maniacally ’We allied with him because he said, the Sect people are constantly hunting down their Evil cultivators.. so they wanted revenge.’
’But this....’
Floating beside him, Zaerina, his trusted enforcer, kept her sharp eyes locked on the colossi rampaging below "Your Highness, do you know what they are... They don’t look like beings that can be summoned by Evil Techniques."
With a faint nod, Rhudamanth spoke "They are Celestarchs... or you can call them Paragons. They are a lost race. Long ago, before any known civilization rose to power, they ruled these lands."
"Their purpose was to uphold the balance between the heavens and the mortal realm, but they vanished... No records exist of how or why..."
"They were the Celestial Sentinels of the Heavens."
His gaze squinted in thought "And by the looks of it... the ones that have been summoned there are Infernals and Eternals."
"No... they are not summoned. Seems like they were all sealed in the Sect grounds... that Hei Xiu merely awakened them by offering the bodies and breaking the seal."
Hei Xiu, reveling in his success, raised his arms as he gazed upon the titanic beings he had awoken. "Ahh... the heavens themselves tremble at your return! Infernals! Eternals! The lost titans of divine slaughter!"
Ji Shuang clicked her tongue in annoyance as these two Paragons were sealed here by the Sect Ancestors long ago.
And that Hei Xiu easily awakened them.
"Shit... I need to destroy or seal them somehow before they wreak havoc. But..."
Her gaze flickered toward Rhudamanth, expecting him to take advantage of the situation, yet to her surprise, the Vampire Patriarch raised his hand in a calming gesture.
"First deal with the Paragons. We can talk later."
Ji Shuang narrowed her eyes, suspicious of his sudden cooperation, but there was no time to dwell on it. The Paragons were beginning to move, and their destruction was absolute.
She gritted her teeth and dashed toward the two Paragons ’Now I understand why Her Grace told me to bring the Relic of the Ancestors for this war.’
She had assumed it was merely for reinforcement in battle, but now the true reason was clear.
BOOOOOOM!
The obsidian-armored Paragon raised its colossal hand and swung downward, smashing through the sect’s outer defenses.
Entire buildings collapsed, reduced to dust under the weight of its power.
The radiance-cloaked Paragon turned its golden eyes toward the surviving sect disciples below.
It extended one massive hand, and a gravitational force pulled hundreds of warriors into the air, their bodies stretching and distorting before they were compressed into nothingness.
Ji Shuang didn’t hesitate.
With a sharp inhale, her body flickered, reappearing directly above the nearest Paragon.
Purple lightning exploded around her, converging into her fists as she launched a devastating punch downward.
CRACK!
Her blow landed cleanly against the colossus’s chest, sending a shockwave through its massive body.
The titan staggered, taking a step back, but its golden eyes burned even brighter and it raised its arm, preparing to retaliate, but before it could—
A deafening roar shook the battlefield.
The ancient statues of the Jade Eclipse Sect... the remnants of the sect’s ancestors... had begun to move.
Their massive stone bodies pulsed with a faint energy as they recognized the presence of the Paragons.
A resonance spread through the air, and in unison, they all charged forward.
One statue, shaped like a titanic warrior wielding an enormous glaive, lunged forward and slashed at the obsidian-armored Paragon.
The impact was enough to cleave a portion of the Paragon’s outer shell, sending chunks of blackened stone crashing into the battlefield below.
Another statue, carved in the image of an ancient monk, clasped its hands together, summoning a radiant barrier that expanded outward, forcing back the gravitational force of the golden-eyed Paragon.
The clash of ancient guardians and celestial titans erupted into an earth-shaking battle.
Stone and divine flesh tore into each other, entire sections of the battlefield being obliterated in the struggle.
From below, Zhao Tian, Yao Jing, and the remaining Wing Masters looked up, witnessing the true scale of the battle.
"This is… on a completely different level," Yao Jing muttered in shock.
Zhao Tian remained silent, his golden eyes reflecting the monstrous figures clashing above.
He knew... this war had already surpassed the realm of mortals.
His gaze flickered to the remaining vampires and Evil Cultivators.
All they can do now is reduce their tiny numbers.
