"What was it that Mother wanted to complete? What did you see beyond the Heavens, and why… entrust all of that to me?"

The woman's eyes turned distant and a soft sigh escaped her lips "About that... I can't tell everything to you right now; you should hear it from Mother herself when she wills it."

"Just know that... these Heavens are not the end."

Zhao Tian frowned slightly and seeing his expression, she nodded her head "Yeah, I know you have a lot of questions... but I can't answer some of them just yet."

He let out a deep sigh, contemplating her words.

Her gaze softened, and she asked "Are you the second Honoured One?"

Shaking his head, he replied "No, I am the third... second was killed because they feared the 'Honoured One' after seeing the accomplishments of the First Honoured One."

Upon hearing this, she smiled dryly "I see... well, that's kind of expected."

With a nod, he took the green pendant from his storage ring and showed her... the point from where everything started.

Looking at the pendant, the woman smiled in amazement "Oh my, good thing this is in your hands. I made this artifact for the future Honoured One entrusted it to the Maverick family, and prayed that they would safeguard it until the right moment came."

His gaze softened slightly "Thank you for this; it really helped me a lot through the journey, Lilith."

Hm? At the sound of her name, Lilith raised an eyebrow in shock "I am surprised you know my name..."

Smiling, he replied "I heard that from the first Heavenly One."

Lilith's gaze narrowed upon hearing this "You met the first Heavenly One? She survived? I remember tearing her body and soul with my space energy."

Nodding his head, he spoke "Yeah, she lost her body... but her soul shards are stuck in the 'space wounds' you created, which are called Ruptures now."

"While entering a rupture, I met her soul shard."

Her gaze narrowed fruther "I see, that's quite unexpected."

In a wistful tone, she spoke "She is... not a bad woman, just blinded. She just trusts the Heavens too much and was literally being manipulated by the Heavens."

"I tried to reason with her, but it didn't work... so I had to kill her."

She fell silent for a moment, her gaze lowering to the pendant once more.

Then, as though to break free from old memories, she looked up and asked quietly, "You possess the seven elemental affinities, yes? And the attributes of space and time, as well?"

Zhao Tian chuckled lightly, brushing a hand through his white hair. "Yeah. Those… and darkness."

Huh? Lilith's eyes shrank in surprise "W-What... what do you mean by darkness?"

Hm? Looking at her reaction, Zhao Tian was confused "What happened? Honoured Ones have affinity to all elementals and that also includes Dark-"

"NO!"

Her voice thundered through the chamber, echoing off the walls like a shockwave "No, No, Darkness is purely for the Eldritchfiends... why would a human have this?"

Zhao Tian sighed in his heart 'So what Rui Yuying said is true... I have Eldritchfiend properties...'

A faint blue glow flashed through her eyes as she looked through his soul, and what she saw made her take a step back in horror.

"N-No way..."

Her whole body trembled "Why would Mother do this? Wait... is this the 'variable' she was talking about?"

Looking at the panic in her face, Zhao Tian asked "What happened?"

She glanced up at him and muttered "You have three bloodlines in your body... Our original mother, Raphaela Celeste Ravenscroft's... Angel bloodline."

"Maverick bloodline and... Eldritchfiend bloodline. But why?"

'Angle Bloodline?' Zhao Tian frowned, hearing that name.

'So the angel wings I got and those weird powers I unlocked during my battle in the Vampire star were from the Angel bloodline, my original mother's bloodline.'

'So wait... I am confused, I have two mothers now?'

Lilith let out a long, weary sigh and the glow around her shimmered softly.

Then, in a low murmur, she whispered almost to herself, "I see… that's what you did, Mother. You wanted to create someone beyond even the Honoured Ones… someone who could cross every boundary."

Zhao Tian tilted his head, his confusion deepening. "Lilith?"

She raised her eyes to meet his, "You might possibly have three mothers."

Zhao Tian: -_-

He blinked hard, as if trying to make sure he hadn't misheard "Come again? Three mothers?"

Lilith nodded her head "I know it sounds absurd, Little brother. But let me explain before your mortal logic implodes."

Zhao Tian exhaled heavily and folded his arms "Alright, Go ahead."

Lilith smiled faintly at his tone, "First of all, our Mother, Raphaela Celeste Ravenscroft- she isn't… alive anymore. Not in the way you'd think."

"She doesn't exist as a being of flesh or even spirit anymore. She's something higher… or perhaps lower, depending on how you see it. A 'life form' pure essence without a vessel."

Zhao Tian blinked slowly, the words rolling in his head "…Okay. You lost me at 'life form,' but sure. Continue."

Lilith nodded with a distant gaze as though remembering something "When I say she is our mother, I don't mean it in the human sense. She didn't carry us in a womb or give birth to us naturally. She created us or rather crafted us... from pieces of herself."

"She split fragments of her own 'essence'. I mean her very existence... to form what she called 'Life Seeds.' These seeds were the foundation of beings like us, the Honoured Ones."

"Each seed carried the potential for unimaginable power, but also the risk of instability. To stabilize them, she needed hosts... human vessels."

Zhao Tian's brows furrowed as he listened curiously.

Lilith's expression softened. "And so, she sought out families across the realm who were pure enough, resilient enough, to withstand the divine resonance of her essence. She chose the Maverick Family."

"She entrusted the Maverick family with her first seed... me. A woman of the Maverick line carried that seed within her womb. I was born through her body… but I was never truly her child. The Mavericks served as surrogate mother... vessels through whom Mother's essence could manifest in this world."

Lilith turned her gaze back toward him, her translucent eyes glowing faintly "This must be the same for you. But your case… is far more complicated."

"…Complicated?" he asked warily.

Lilith hesitated, as though even she wasn't sure she should say it.

But then she exhaled softly, "For your 'Life Seed'... it seems there were two surrogate vessels."

Zhao Tian's jaw went slack "Two? As in…?"

Nodding her head, she replied "One of them was of the Maverick bloodline, the same as mine. But the other… was an Eldritchfiend."

A chill ran down Zhao Tian's spine.

She went on, "Your seed must have been transferred… moved between two vessels before you were fully born. You grew within both wombs... one human, one Eldritchfiend."

"The essence of both is fused within you. That's why your bloodlines are intertwined... Angelic, Maverick, and Eldritch."

Her gaze dropped to the floor, "You are not merely an Honoured One. You are a hybrid of three distinct lineages... a being that shouldn't even exist under natural law."

For a long moment, Zhao Tian didn't speak.

His mind blanked, and he stared at the floor, then at her, then back at the pendant glowing faintly in his hand.

"…What the actual fuck."
