I Am Also An Extraordinary Creature-Chapter 1928 - 1318: Dusk Remnants_2
The technology of the Boundary Breaking Organization once held supreme power, able to acquire world resources and influence the entire world through access to these resources.
Yet this ’loophole’ was fixed in the New World, causing the Boundary Breaking Organization’s technology to lose its edge. However, applying this technology to the World Tree fruit allows them to reclaim some of their bygone glory.
As the Power System of Tianhe is also updating, once the New Era’s Power System alters Tianhe’s World Tree fruit, the Boundary Breaking Organization’s technology will completely fall to irrelevance.
Before that happens, the suppression of Breakthrough Remnants must not cease.
Bing Yi is merely an elite combat member of the ’Dusk’ Organization. He has seen Ahn Longling, listened to the leader’s pre-battle speeches, but he has never personally conversed with the leader.
There are many such people. The Dusk Organization is an extremely large organization, with many members who are survivors that lost their homes during the Tianhe Civil War.
Seated on the spaceship homeward-bound, Bing Yi gazed through the window at the shrinking snowfield below, dotted with numerous red and black specks indicating traces of battle.
Once they ascended to a certain altitude, a black explosion engulfed the entire snowfield, rendering the snowfield on this planet a thing of the past.
This was a type of bomb meant for clearing the scene; they could use it directly, which was quite convenient, but using it directly was not ideal for exterminating Breakthrough Remnants.
Many technologies of Breakthrough Remnants are outdated, yet their transfer technology remains exceptional. The Dusk Organization can blockade their transfer capabilities, but directly using such a bomb would lead to the blockade failing, allowing some of the Breakthrough Remnants to escape.
After leaving the planet, Bing Yi’s pupils slightly contracted. Beyond the planet, he saw a large number of spaceship wrecks, mixed with shriveled, incomplete bodies among the fragments.
Instantly, Bing Yi understood what had transpired. The snowfield operation was an ambush orchestrated by Breakthrough Remnants, only their trap was anticipated by the organization.
Among those wrecks, Bing Yi spotted remnants of dark red lightning. He shifted his gaze away, realizing that since the spaceship didn’t halt, there was nothing here worthy of attention.
Those wrecks held little value, as the Dusk Organization’s technology surpassed that of the Breakthrough Remnants.
Having passed through the debris-strewn area, ripples appeared ahead of the spaceship, which then left this World Tree fruit. Bing Yi was now in the region known as Tianhe.
Tianhe sharply contrasts with the New World; the universal backdrop outside Tianhe is black, while Tianhe itself is deep blue.
Within Tianhe are the individual points of light, each representing a World Tree fruit. Before the Tianhe Civil War, there were more of these points of light.
The spaceship sped swiftly within Tianhe, but it required some time to return to headquarters. Although spatial technology existed, it belonged to the type better avoided if possible.
The reason being the mismatch between the Old Era’s strength and the New World; even when used within Tianhe, inaccuracies might arise, thus traditional methods are often preferred for travel.
Even so, the spaceship is still assisted by spatial technology, but not through teleportation, rather through Shrinking Land spatial techniques.
Such technology considerably boosts travel speed, yet isn’t genuine teleportation and even if inaccuracies occur, they can be swiftly corrected.
"Hello, would you like some drinks or food?"
"A glass of strawberry juice and an order of fried chicken, thank you."
The attendant brought Bing Yi the food he requested, and Bing Yi leisurely ate the piping hot food, savoring the downtime after combat as always.
The scenery of Tianhe was something he never tired of seeing, though he’d viewed it many times before.
Bing Yi was not born during the Old Era. He was truly a person of Tianhe, born in Tianhe.
Since childhood, he had been fascinated by the history of the Old Era, intending to become an archaeologist during his school years, but later the Tianhe Civil War erupted, and his hometown was devastated by war.
He abandoned his dream of becoming an archaeologist and became a member of the Dusk Organization.
At a great distance from the spaceship, a ’Star’ bloomed. Under Bing Yi’s scrutiny, the blossoming Star dispersed into numerous points of light, surrounded by a layer of translucent shield.
Bing Yi lost his appetite at that moment, contemplating many possibilities — was this the Breakthrough Remnants or some other faction causing trouble?
The broadcast inside the spaceship began to play a news update.
Listening to the news content, Bing Yi’s tightly furrowed brows relaxed, and he resumed eating his fried chicken.
It turned out to be an experiment involving the World Tree fruit unfolding.
The Tianhe people have always been adapting to the New World, and the standalone world mode of the World Tree fruit has already been applied in the New World. Moreover, Breakthrough Remnants easily find flaws in the World Tree fruit.
Outside of Tianhe, those remnants cannot achieve much, but within Tianhe, they can target the World Tree fruit, forcibly seizing world resources.
However, once the World Tree fruit is unfolded, its existence state will resemble the New World, making Breakthrough Remnants’ technology unusable where the World Tree fruit is expanded.
When their technology can no longer access world resources, the root of Breakthrough Remnants is essentially eradicated!
Those who became Breakthrough Remnants are indeed covetous of world resources. The Boundary Breaker’s technology can no longer grant them their desires. Who would risk becoming a public enemy to be a Breakthrough Remnant?
