I Am in Marvel with Unlimited Cards-Chapter 641: IMUC - 633 True Heroes’ Civil War
Chapter 641 - IMUC Chapter 633 True Heroes' Civil War
Not even a trace of ash remained. After the violent clash of two extreme energies, the central grassland was left with a barren, circular crater.
Kaecilius, his momentum unabated, leaped across the crater. The void weapon in his hand cut through the air, thrusting swiftly toward Wanda. She narrowly sidestepped, but the trailing edge of her coat was grazed by the weapon's tip, instantly tearing like paper.
Without giving him a chance to pursue further, Wanda unleashed a surge of scarlet energy, spreading outward in cascading waves. Feeling an eerie chill run down his spine, Kaecilius quickly retreated, creating distance between them.
The scarlet energy swept over the nearby grill and chairs, disintegrating them into fragments at a visible speed.
"Are the energies they casually release comparable to small nuclear explosions?" someone in the audience wondered aloud.
The audience watched, wide-eyed, marveling at the extraordinary battle between the Dark Sorcerer and the Scarlet Witch.
The collision between top-tier innate abilities and acquired spells was nothing short of breathtaking. This battle, purely in terms of visual spectacle, was no less thrilling than the legendary fight between Iron Man and the Ancient One.
"I must not let that strange red energy touch my body," Kaecilius thought grimly, his eyes fixed on the scarlet energy coiling around Wanda's hands. That close encounter with the peculiar energy had unnervingly reminded him of the aura of his master from the Dark Dimension.
"It seems I have no choice but to use the power my master bestowed upon me."
Kaecilius suddenly discarded his void weapon. Facing Wanda, who was preparing another scarlet energy attack, he slowly spread his arms wide, mimicking a spellcasting posture once used by the Ancient One.
Was this...?
Not only Wanda but Lucy and Raina, who were watching the battle closely, froze in surprise.
As if confirming their suspicions, Kaecilius's face, partially obscured by his cloak, darkened further. Black light extended from his eyes to the corners of his face, making his already sinister features appear even more grotesque.
Then,
The island's grassland terrain began to warp and shift like a Rubik's Cube, sinking downward as if to bury Wanda alive.
This was a deeper application of the mirror dimension, enhanced by the power of the Dark Dimension to amplify its influence on reality— Peak Reality Manipulation.
Seeing this, the audience erupted in astonishment. In the first group match, the Ancient One had used this very technique to neutralize a heavyweight nuclear strike, a scene that still lingered in many minds. Now, to their shock, this contestant codenamed "Black One" had also mastered it.
"The times really are changing."
Wanda's heart skipped a beat. Before her body could sink into the ground, she propelled herself upward using her scarlet energy, hovering ten meters above the ground.
"Watch out!" Lucy's warning came abruptly.
Sensing something amiss, Wanda glanced upward. Reflected in her wide eyes was the image of a massive lake, flipped upside down, its waters poised to cascade down like a gigantic basin.
With a loud roar, the lake's water spilled downward, a dark torrent rushing toward Wanda.
"Break apart!"
At the critical moment, Wanda spun her hands rapidly. The scarlet energy around her grew in intensity, both shielding her and surging upward.
Boom!
The massive lake, resembling an inverted waterfall in the sky, was split apart by the scarlet energy, creating a gaping chasm in its flow.
The water poured down onto the grassland, instantly flooding an area spanning a hundred meters, transforming it into a swamp.
Standing on a hillside near the grassland, Kaecilius hadn't yet had the chance to further alter the reality space when two graceful figures charged toward him from either side.
One was surrounded by white frost, her steps freezing the water beneath her into trails of ice. The other flew through the air, radiating waves of mental energy so intense that Kaecilius felt a sharp pain in his psyche.
It was Lucy and Raina. Realizing that something was off with Kaecilius, they chose not to spectate any longer. Taking advantage of his brief pause, they launched a sudden and coordinated assault.
Using the power of the Dark Dimension to enhance his control over reality, Kaecilius became aware that his subordinates, Black Two and Black Three, had both been defeated. Cursing inwardly at his "useless trash" of henchmen, he looked at the approaching Lucy and Raina. Feeling utterly helpless, he raised his hands in surrender.
"I give up..."
Raina stopped immediately, hovering just beside Kaecilius. However, Lucy didn't slow down. With her speed unabated, she leaped high into the air, swinging her left leg in a beautiful arc that landed squarely on Kaecilius's face.
The white frost emanating from Lucy's body instantly froze Kaecilius's head. Under the force of her kick, his neck snapped with a sickening crack, and his crystalline, frozen head was sent flying through the air, landing in the water below.
"If surrender worked, what would we need referees for?" Lucy huffed, withdrawing her foot as she muttered, "That's what you get for bullying my girl."
"Mother, look," Raina gestured toward the sky above the grasslands.
The lake's waters had fully descended, and Wanda remained suspended mid-air. Her pale face was drenched with sweat, her hands drooping weakly. Her chest heaved as she took in large gulps of air, slowly descending to the hillside below.
She had barely managed to fend off the attack just now.
"Thank goodness."
Lucy beamed with excitement, rushing to embrace Wanda as soon as she landed. She nuzzled Wanda's face affectionately, exclaiming, "With that, we've all won!"
Wanda didn't resist; she actually found this sense of care quite comforting— something she could grow to enjoy.
With Kaecilius's team fully defeated, the system declared Lucy's team the winners. The three left the virtual island and returned to the arena.
As the audience erupted into cheers and applause, many silently warned themselves: Never mess with the women of the Karl Nation. You wouldn't even know how you died.
To them, it wasn't that Kaecilius was too weak— it was that Lucy and her team were simply too strong, operating on an entirely different level.
After two thrilling and spectacular matches, the audience felt a little drained. The intensity of these battles was overwhelming, pushing their minds and emotions to the brink.
Their understanding of reality and their worldview seemed to crumble and reshape with each fight— how could anyone endure that?
But regardless, the third round of group matches began as scheduled.
The G.O.D. System displayed the screen for the random draw, quickly determining the lineup for the next match:
Blue Team #2: Captain America, Winter Soldier, and Falcon.
Red Team #7: Black Widow, Vision, and Quicksilver.
Seeing the lineup for the third match, even Kyle couldn't help but chuckle— it was a gathering of familiar Avengers.
This match, in a sense, was shaping up to be a true civil war among heroes.
"Captain, go easy on us later, won't you? Let us win a little," Black Widow teased, winking at Captain America.
"It's you that should go easy," Captain America replied with a wry smile. After all, Black Widow's team had both Vision and Quicksilver!
After some lighthearted banter, the six contestants disappeared from the arena together.
The third group match officially began!
