The duo walked shoulder to shoulder to the canteen, passing the crowd standing aghast.

One, in particular, led the charge of a thunderous applause. Soon, the shooting range barraged with booming claps.

The group of recruits who sneered and shamed them previously walked to the barracks shamefully, their heads bowed down and eyes pale. They’d never believe till now a pistol was used to shoot a bullseye on a hundred-meter target against Officer Brandt’s fifty-meter target fired with his rifle.

Kyle’s sharpshooting ingenuity and prowess deserved the thunderous applause and respect the crowd gave priori. Not only so in the barracks, but the worthy respect so wholly deserved should also spread throughout the recruit military station.

“It’s nutritional, the meals, I’ll give you that, but it’s lacking in taste.” Kyle muttered words of disdain while walking out the canteen and into the barracks. He needed a rest after the stressful event.

After the risky gamble with Officer Brandt, the recruits no longer chagrined Kyle or caused him hints of displeasure. Their demeanor turned a hundred eighty.

In Steve’s words, they who were indifferent and cared not of Kyle’s existence were now akin to a wanton, shameless, and immodest dogs. They’d stick their face in sole attempts to lick his boots and form a hopeful long-lasting friendship. They who used to bark at his sight now wagged their tails in delight. Such scenic view, it’d have never occur had Kyle not showcase his strength and talent.

Enjoying the convenient benefits of drawing in skill cards, Kyle grew fond of the idea of enhancing himself through this shameless means. Matter of fact, it seemed to be his sole guiding purpose in this life.

In the barracks of nearly twenty recruits, Kyle was like that of a dry sponge, absorbing all drops of skill cards he managed to grab hold. Though disappointing at the quality of the skill cards, the recruits were still young. They have too few experiences hence resulting in all too many white skill cards and dismal green skill cards.

Kyle sighed.

Agent Peggy Carter… she has twenty green skill cards… and all amazing and worthy of awe! I wonder when I’ll have the chance to extract them…

His groggy back leaned back on the bed lost in thought.

Steve stuck his head out and leaned over, curiously asking, “Kyle, what are you thinking about?”

“Agent Carter.” Deep in thought, Kyle quickly blurted out.

“Ah…” Steve’s face grew rigid. “So it’s Agent Carter.”

“This guy…” Kyle smiled. “Steve, I know you have feelings for Agent Carter, however deep that may be. Rest assured, I won’t take the woman you like. I would never do that to you, my friend.”

“You… Kyle…” Steve’s heart moved. He relished at the thought of her but quickly wiped it away. “No, forget it. Someone like her… doesn’t deserve someone like me.”

“Don’t underestimate yourself. You have so much potential. Believe in yourself, Steve.” Kyle patted his friend’s shoulder and poured in words of support. “If you want to pursue her, run and chase after her. Don’t forget your will and drive. Tap into your potential. Make a move as if you’re on the battlefield and your life depended on it!”

You can do anything, Steve. After all, you’re Captain America. During this time, you were growing and learning how to be a leader; during this time, you began inspiring hope in people…

“Thank you, Kyle. It means a lot.” Steve nodded appreciatively before retiring back to bed.

Though I have the skill cards, Steve, you’ll always be one step ahead of me.

Kyle pushed the thoughts aside and returned his attention back to the skill cards. Apart from the hundred or so white skill cards in his grasp, he only had five green skill cards.

Apart from the hundred or so white cards covering various skills, he currently only held five green cards.

【Rifle Master】

【English Proficiency Master】

【Boxing Master】

【Psychological Master】

【True Pistol Master】

Among them, the【True Pistol Master】skill card shone a far ephemeral color, it’s luster brighter than the other four.

【True Pistol Master】Master proficiency in pistols. Rare green skill card.

This skill card, it was his most valuable skill card absorbed from Agent Carter. With this, he’d easily defeat anyone who claimed to be proficient in weapons or if ever he found himself in a weaponry scuffle, otherwise, had he used Officer Brandt’s 【Rifle Master】skill card, the possibility of the outcome winnings would only be a fifty/fifty when competing against Officer Brandt.

“Rare green skill card ⇢ green skill card ⇢ white skill card…” Kyle paused. “So… it seems the rare green skill cards are harder to encounter than their counterparts. Their requirements too are… high. Well, there’s no need to worry. I’m not in the battlefield right now. As for the rest of the skill cards in my collection, it isn’t very useful… what I need most are skill cards able to enhance my physical capabilities!”

Kyle thought this body wasn’t too bad, otherwise, he’d only fall to his death upon catching a heat stroke on the first day of training.

To efficiently adapt to the environment’s high-intensity training, he’d need to change his physique and absorbing the【Beginner Boxer】, 【Beginner Runner】, and the【Beginner Swimmer】white skill cards would prove some use. Unfortunately, the white skill cards provided little to no use, only a slight boost. Only the green skill card would give him an obvious change.

“Tomorrow, I’ll look for more skills cards to extract with emphasis placed on physique skill cards.” Kyle’s eyes twinkled like the starry night. The base was his target for the hunting.
