I Am the Only Fertile Woman in the Game-Chapter 261: New Dad
The confrontation was intense.
It was mainly Qiao Suisui’s one-sided fierceness towards Ruka.
The man kept trying to push her away, to hold her in his embrace, to press her beneath him, but couldn’t withstand her delicate entwinement and pestering, eventually relenting.
He had thought that after it was over, his anger would subside a bit, but the man only grew more irritated.
Qiao Suisui lay on the bed, rubbing her eyes, and with the last of her energy said to the man with his back to her, "Don’t be mad."
After she spoke, she couldn’t hold on any longer and closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
After a while, a long sigh echoed through the chamber.
Ruka turned and drew her into his arms, tucked her in properly, and then gently caressed her hair, sinking into self-reproach.
Neither of the two embraced figures noticed that on a table not far away, among the casually scattered white papers, two lines of text from another world appeared, only to gradually vanish word by word into the wind a minute later.

When Qiao Suisui woke up, she stretched lazily, feeling quite refreshed, except for a bit of soreness in her back.
She hugged her pillow and turned over, bumping into a solid embrace. freewēbnoveℓ.com
"Bi, how come you’re here?"
She blinked and looked at the clock on the wall. By this time, Ruka should’ve already left for a meeting at the Military Department.
Anubis propped himself up on the bed, still appearing somewhat sleepy.
"Sikoses told me to stay with you. He said he had military affairs to attend to, and asked me to make sure you have a proper breakfast."
Qiao Suisui nodded, but felt somewhat awkward at the moment.
In the first timeline, nothing had happened between her and Anubis!
Yet now he lay before her, bare-chested, his young, robust, muscular body so unapologetically displayed, she quickly averted her gaze. But then, feeling like she appeared too guilty, she looked back and concentrated on the tattoo on his arm, studying the patterns of the totem in detail.
"Qiao, what are you looking at?"
"Ah, nothing, I just didn’t notice before, are these some sort of writing?"
Anubis took her hand and placed it on his shoulder, guiding her index finger along his collarbone down to his arm.
"It’s the language of the Wolf Clan, completely different from the Interstellar language system."
"What does this sentence mean?"
Anubis’s gaze shifted slightly, he seemed embarrassed to turn his face away, but then he looked back at her and said, "Inscribed with your name."
He sat up straight, facing her, and took her hand to glide over his chest.
"Here, there’s a new tattoo."
Qiao Suisui looked and indeed noticed the tattoo’s ink was very fresh. The set of characters was short, she tilted her head and asked, "What does this mean?"
"It’s your name. I’ve tattooed it over the place closest to my heart."
Qiao Suisui was taken aback, tracing the tattoo with her index finger, writing it out stroke by stroke.
Anubis’s gaze steadfastly followed her every movement, his expression softer than ever before.
"I won’t let myself die," he suddenly said.
Qiao Suisui looked up at him to see his expression firm, as if he were making a vow to himself.
"No matter what happens, I won’t let myself die. That way, you’ll be safe. I’m no longer living just for myself; I’m also living for you."
Anubis embraced her, and as if remembering something else, added, "And for our child."
Qiao Suisui smiled broadly, saying, "It’s all in the past, Bi. Aren’t we doing very well now? It will only get better."
He agreed, kissing her on the tip of her nose.
Then Anubis began helping her get dressed, put on shoes, took her to wash up, and accompanied her for breakfast.
Qiao Suisui held her milk, her slippers neatly aligned under the table, as she placed her bare feet on the ground.
She saw Anubis sitting on the chair next to her, engrossed in reading a book.
Curious, Qiao Suisui tilted her head to see the title, and it read—New Dad’s Must-Read: Female Pregnancy Guide.
Noticing her movement, Anubis straightened her up and picked up the cup with two sips of milk left, "Do you want more?"
She shook her head.
Then Anubis tipped back his head and drank it, before cleaning up the half piece of bread she had left by putting it into his own mouth. While holding the bread in his mouth, he wiped her hands.
Zong Fang walked in just in time to witness this scene.
He paused, silent for a second, then continued forward.
His gaze swept under the table, and with a frown, he crouched down to help her put on her slippers. He told Anubis, "Her feet get cold easily. You can’t just let her wear slippers; she needs socks."
Only then did Anubis realize that she had been barefoot the whole time.
For some reason, Qiao Suisui sensed that Zong Fang’s mood was off, and she asked softly, "What’s wrong?"
Zong Fang looked at her and said, "I need to talk to you."
Qiao Suisui suddenly became nervous, thinking that Ruka had complained to Zong Fang about her, so she stammered for a bit and cautiously asked, "About what?"
Anubis, a bit anxious, intercepted, "Sang Yan came this morning, and has been waiting all morning. Maybe we should..."
Seizing the opportunity, Qiao Suisui chimed in, "Ah, then I should go meet Sang Yan first. He has come from afar and is a guest." Then she glanced at Zong Fang silently and added, "Is that okay?"
Zong Fang stared at her for a while before finally sighing and saying, "Go ahead."
Qiao Suisui tugged at his hand and shook it twice, whispering, "I’ll come to you tonight."
Zong Fang pinched her waist as a warning, "You won’t be doing anything tonight."
Anubis, seeing him pinch her waist, became quite anxious, quickly pushing Qiao Suisui out the door. Once outside, he didn’t forget to ask, "Does it hurt? Did he pinch your belly?"
The two of them talked as they walked away.
Zong Fang stood in the hall for a long time, somewhat dazed.
For some reason, ever since her return, he felt constantly uneasy.
...
In the reception room.
Anubis opened the door for her, and as Qiao Suisui walked in, the first thing she saw was the couch where she had been caught up with Carl the day before, and then she saw Sang Yan standing right next to that couch.
Feeling a burning sensation on her face, she coughed awkwardly twice.
"Caught a cold? I’ll get you some water," Anubis said, now extremely anxious at the slightest sign from her.
She assured him she was fine, and only then did he relax a little. He kissed her cheek tenderly before considerately saying, "You two talk."
Qiao Suisui turned to Sang Yan, and after exchanging pleasantries, she noticed that Sang Yan was being extremely polite, as if they weren’t very familiar.
"I’ve come this time because Gai Meilun wanted me to bring his wedding candy to you," he said earnestly, holding out a beautifully wrapped gift box.
"Sorry I couldn’t make it to your coupling anniversary dinner," he said, watching Qiao Suisui take the box and then withdrawing his hands, rubbing them nervously along his pant seams to wipe off the sweat from his palms.
Qiao Suisui noticed all his small gestures.
Coming to see her and needing to use Gai Meilun as an excuse, it seemed that on this timeline, he had never made that move.
Actually, it wasn’t Sang Yan’s fault, because many subsequent events had changed, so Qiao Suisui and Sang Yan didn’t have the same companionship they had in the previous timelines, nor had they had any real one-on-one time. Their interactions were limited to discussing official matters, such as how Freedom was being managed, whether the borders of the Freedom Alliance should be moved, and similar topics.
Seeing her head down and not speaking, Sang Yan felt a bit awkward and nervously started making conversation, "The coupling ceremony at Gai Meilun’s was lively. Ah Yao even went, and he met an Artificial Female there... uh, I..."
Just when he didn’t know what he was doing, she interrupted him.
"Don’t you have anything you want to say to me?" Qiao Suisui lifted her head and smiled at him.
