I Am The Only Witch Hunter-Chapter 307: Laliana
A woman with moss-like green hair. When she appeared, Siderius scanned him with Mana Vision. She was a witch.
"I should have known." Siderius mumbled.
"Who the fuck are you?" The witch looked at Siderius.
"Baron of Snowfell. Siderius Satterblade." Siderius raised Silver Hawk up high. "You’ve been causing trouble in my territory, witch."
"Trouble? This land is controlled by the Starcrow. Do you know who I am?"
"Starcrow? Are you Starcrow clan?"
The witch smirked. "Yes, I am. I am the second daughter of Ivitus Starcrow, Laliana Starcrow. How dare you attack me in my clan’s territory?"
Siderius smirked back. "This is no longer Starcrow’s territory. This is my territory."
"Heh. Siderius, right? I heard what you said. But you caused me trouble, Siderius. What are you going to give me for me to forget this?"
She was blatantly extorting Siderius. Laliana didn’t recognize his name or the name of his family. So she figured Siderius must be a witch without clan.
A lone witch was the least dangerous witch. Her clan could easily stomp him if they wanted.
"Give you? You’re not getting out of here, alive. Laliana. Especially if you’re a Starcrow."
"You..."
Siderius interrupted her speech with <Esturo>. Laliana’s vision spun and her stomach churned.
"Illusion spell?"
Laliana tried to cast her own spell but her mind couldn’t focus. Siderius threw a Toxic Bomb at her. The green cloud appeared and disabled her vision.
The god-awful smell of the Toxic Bomb rushed at Laliana. She couldn’t keep it in and vomited out a pile of waste.
Siderius already approached her and slammed the Silver Hawk down her neck.
Laliana’s head was decapitated from her body.
Her headless body thrusted her hand through Siderius’ abdomen.
His armor broke and his uniform tore. Her fingernails cut through everything like hot molten steel. It penetrated his belly.
Siderius’ expression stayed indifferent. He knocked the hand off him and tried to cut it off.
The headless body rolled away and grabbed the head.
Siderius popped open a Flesh Restoration Tonic and drank it down.
[TOXICITY +25]
The entire bottle was emptied. His belly healed itself back up. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Laliana put her head back on. Her neck reattached itself.
"Ooooh. That was dangerous. You’re almost killed me." Laliana mocked.
"Heh. I just encountered the same type of witch not long ago."
"You know who I am?"
"Morphomancer. Skin Altering Magic."
"You really are a knowledgeable little witch, huh? But I can see that you aren’t even a witchling. Your magic is a little bit different also.
And you fight just like those damn mortals."
Laliana stuck her long elongated tongue out. "What even are you? You feel stronger than your magic are."
Siderius smiled gently. He raised his sword up high. "I am a witch hunter."
Siderius rushed at Laliana again. The witch went down to four legs. She turned into a gigantic tiger and rushed at Siderius.
That was all what he wanted her to do.
"Surprise, little witch."
The hunter drew a <Dispellera> in the air, interrupting Laliana’s flow of magic.
She turned back into a human mid-motion.
"How?!"
Siderius already got close enough to slash at her. Laliana tried to use her magic but it didn’t work. She dodged Siderius’ blade the first time but was cut the second time as Siderius connected his strikes into one continuous attack.
Siderius was relentless and his sword moved like a worm sticking in her skin. No matter where she went, he would always be there, preventing her from escaping.
Laliana managed to avoid being decapitated again but wounds started to stack on her body.
Suddenly, Siderius became even faster. He turned into a blur as he activated his Agility Mutation. His eyes were filled with Dynamic Vision, reading Laliana’s movement a few seconds in the future.
In this brief amount of time, Siderius executed three strikes.
The first vertical slash cut down both of Laliana’s hands.
Then he lowered his body and swiped the sword horizontally, cutting both her legs at the knees.
The witch fell down. She was still in mid-air when Siderius execute the third strike and decapitated her again.
He grabbed the head and rolled away, extending their distance with the body.
Her body parts started to gather and healed itself.
"Let go of me, you filthy wicca!" Laliana roared. She couldn’t be killed with ordinary means but by separating her from her body, she became useless.
Siderius got far enough to drop her head on the ground. The pores on his left hand leaked out Sulfur as he drew a seal on his right palm.
Malevitus Extraction was drawn within seconds.
"I can’t kill you while you still have Mana. But guess what. I will take your Mana away."
Siderius smacked his right palm on Laliana’s forehead, pulling out all the Dark Aether inside her.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Laliana screamed in despair as she could feel her magic and her life being drained away.
Magic kept her bodyless head and headless body alive. Without it, she would die.
The body reattached itself and rushed at Siderius but it was already too late. It fell down on the ground and shook endlessly.
"Mercy! Please. Mercy." Laliana begged. She cried her eyes out.
Siderius smirked. "No mercy for a wicked witch."
He raised his hands up high. Dark Aether appeared in his right palm.
Laliana’s bodyless head quieted down. Life was removed from her. Her seizing body also settled down and was no longer moving.
The fishermen got back to the lake and saw Laliana.
One man stepped forward. He gulped involuntarily but still gathered his courage to speak.
"You... You are Lord Satterblade? Our new Baron."
Siderius had been the Baron for over six months now. But for the people in Snowfell, six months was a short time.
The Armad Lake was also in the intersection of baronies so not a lot knew about him.
Siderius removed his helmet. "Aye."
"You just killed... You just killed that witch." The man mumbled in disbelief.
"Because he harmed my subjects. You disagree?"
The man didn’t answer. He looked back to the other fishermen.
They gathered in front of him and kneeled down.
"We are forever grateful to you, my lord!"
Lords didn’t care about the lives of commoners. But the Lord of Snowfell was different. He saved them all.
