Chapter 248: How do you want to kill him?

He pressed a button, "There are 24 bombs rigged around this barn house. If you make a single move, I would light this house on fire. I don’t want to but I will." His voice sounded kind, very kind, like the voice of a next-door neighbor who always brought back toys for you when you were little.

His words rang through speakers that were installed on a nearby tunnel and transmitted from the team recorders to the Van.

Ravi snapped his eyes open.

"Where are you going?" Draco whispered as Ravi suddenly stood up.

The Special Agent suddenly looked at Ravi and frowned, "Officer, please control yourself and calm down. Reckless actions would escalate the situation." He said and faced back at the screen. His voice was calm, and controlled due to his years of experience.

Even though they had not foreseen that there was another tunnel with traps underground and they had lost the element of surprise, they knew that the Morales ranch was Bobby trapped with bombs. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

More specifically, motioned-activated radio-frequency triggered bombs, Sanctuary of the Chosen had used such bombs to make their statement. It seems like the knowledge had been passed from father to son. With that knowledge, they had sent Glitch to aid the rescue process.

The team just had to stall Glitch for ten minutes

"Have faith in the ABI."

It was not that Ravi did not have faith; it was just that he could not afford the consequences. Even though he had already disassembled the bombs around the house, both Arlen and Lisa were in that Ranch, and this had gone on long enough. This killer had nothing to use, there was no need to negotiate or convince him, when he would see that there was no way to go, he would try his best to take everyone down with him.

"I just need to take a smoke outside the van. I will be back in less than a minute."

As he passed, he patted Draco’s back and the van door opened. The large van was parked out of range from the Morales Ranch, yet close enough for the agents in the van to provide assistance or backup.

He walked out of the van and looked up at the small camera outside the car, he sighed, moving until he was out of the camera’s range of the camera.

He shattered himself, his atomic structure deconstructing into nothing. Then, in the next instant in the barn house, the air seemed to implode, collapsing upon an unseen singularity. A burst of light erupted as Ravi’s atomic essence was reconstructed, appearing in front of Nathan Kim.

He watched as Nathan’s eyes widened for the smallest of seconds and he raised his hand. With a gentle sweep of his hand, he reached out with his mind tapping into the dance of participles that surrounded him. He could feel the cosmic energy, the abilities and he could feel Arlen underneath this floor.

His power almost sang as if it wanted to rush and carry Arlen up and Ravi’s indifferent eyes softened a bit. He manipulated the quantum states of the atoms around him, ever so delicate. The air crackled with electricity and time began to slow, the seconds stretching out into eternity as the atomic movements of the Earth grounded to a halt.

He did not use a time and space lock this time. It would attract just too much attention as this case had a lot of eyes. Lisa would have it tough during the coming days, Ravi did not want to add additional burden to him.

He looked around the barn house, there was a woman in her early thirties hanging from the wall. Her eyes were closed, blood ran down her bruised body. What a crazy person. He touched her and the atoms in her body began to heal, even though her body was still bruised, her internal injuries were all healed up. Her mental state though would need more of a magic touch, Ravi could not help with that.

He walked to Lisa and his eyes narrowed softly as he looked at her. Even frozen, her gaze looked more stubborn as she glared hatefully at the man in front of her. Ravi felt that guilt in his heart and he softly combed her hair. She was bleeding; he touched it, healing it but not too much.

This steady annoyance. She had made his days so interesting. She was a friend.

"I don’t have many." He whispered to her and she smiled.

Those green eyes blinked once and looked at him, a trace of confusion in her eyes, "Ravi." She whispered doubtfully. She looked past him to Kim who held a button in his gloved hands, his wrapped expression frozen.

"Ravi." She whispered again.

"Lisa." Ravi replied, he was not sure where to begin to console her so he stroked her back for a second. The warmth made her freeze and she burst into tears, moving into his embrace as she sobbed loudly, her shoulders shaking.

Ravi held her calmly as he stroked her back, humming quietly.

"I am such a fool."’

"Don’t ever say that. You can not tell how many times he had wiped your memory. You are so amazing, Lisa."

"Draco is going to tease me forever."

Ravi blinked, was this what this girl was worried about now? Stopping time for so long was starting to get to him.

"Lisa..."

"I know. I would not tell anyone you are some Op character. If I had known, I would have just crossed my leg and waited for you." She tried to smile but that bright light in her eyes had dimmed.

This time, Ravi hugged her and whispered in her ears, "Do you want to kill him or do you want me to kill him? Is there a particular way you would like him to die?" This was the reason he had woken her up, to give her a chance to give her closure.

Lisa’s eyes welled up for a second, "I want to kill him."

Ravi nodded.

"But I can’t be selfish, Ravi. Not with this person. Just how many people has he killed? Why? All those people, Their parents all deserved closure as well." Lisa seemed to have made up her mind; she stood up and walked towards the man. Her hand formed a fist and she gave him a sharp punch.

And another. And another.
