I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 259: She is pregnant
Chapter 259: She is pregnant
They had first gone to the Davenport Police Bureau and Ravi had filed another leave request. The advantage of having a boyfriend as the Police captain is the fact that the leave would be approved as quickly as possible.
Three more months and his compulsory national service would be over. He could choose to take a police course and continue as a police officer or choose to do another thing.
Ravi wanted to talk to Arlen about it but he already had a few things in mind to do.
"I am not nervous. Okay, just a little bit."
He looked at the fit in the mirror, "How is this one?"
"Great." Seeing Ravi’s pointed look, he added, "It makes your eyes pop."
"In a good way or a bad way?"
The fact that Ravi cared so much about his family made Arlen smile but he did not want to see him so worried either, "Should I tell you every bad thing she had ever done from age 7 upwards?"
Ravi rolled his eyes, "Can you hesitate before rushing to give up your sister’s secret." He felt that the blue shirt was okay and headed out of the changing room.
"Not really. If you kiss me, I will give up the password to the family safe as well."
"I will be taking this one. Thank you."
The seller looked at the two handsome men and smiled. She accepted the card from the taller man.
Ravi’s lips twitched when he looked at Arlen but contrary to Arlen’s expectation, he leaned up and kissed him.
The brief touch of his lips lingered a few more seconds and Ravi whispered, "Immortals above, keep your family secrets safe."
Arlen burst out laughing. He took his card back from the sales agent and slipped it back into his wallet.
"My family secrets are yours. Everything I have belongs to you, love."
The sales agent choked back her laughter and Ravi rolled his eyes, pulling Arlen away to the car.
"And what medieval fantasy romance did you pull that one out of?"
Arlen chuckled, "I don’t remember. Speaking of fantasy.." He stopped and looked at Ravi who narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
"Elves, Dragons, do they really exist?" Arlen moved closer, his blue eyes glowing in a way that made Ravi’s heart skip. He was really so beautiful.
So damn beautiful.
"Ravi."
Ravi blinked and nodded.
"Are you serious? Ravi, you know it is not compulsory for you to meet Rey, we could..."
"We have all the time to talk about Dragons, and Elves and yokes and creatures whose words always come true."
"Serious? Like wish granting. What if I say, I want to die and the other one says I want to live? Which one would come true first? And... Oh, I have so many questions?"
"And if today goes well, I will be all too happy to answer all your questions." He brushed down his clothes and appeared inside the car.
Arlen looked at the empty space in front of him and then looked behind him, his eyes widening before they narrowed into a smile. He walked around the car and started it, turning to his lover, "Why do I have a feeling that you have wanted to do that for the longest time."
Ravi laughed and the two of them soon fell into an easy silence at the restaurant. The restaurant was empty.
She must have booked the entire restaurant. Ravi took a deep breath when he noticed it.
He did not have false hopes that in a meal, the eldest daughter of one of the richest families in Avalon would like him but he truly hoped that the two of them could at least be civil.
"You know if her soul was in that third mission world, she would be kneeling down to salute Your Majesty.’
Ravi laughed when he recalled the story he had told Arlen about the third mission world. It was nice, to share his stories with someone. Perhaps when Asher grows up, he could also...
"Good afternoon, Mr Sinclair and Mr West. Welcome to Lorry." A middle-aged man greeted me as he opened the door.
The restaurant was beautiful, the décor screaming a quiet luxury that made the whole scene a little ironic.
In the middle of the empty restaurant, a beautiful young woman sat, perusing the menu in her hand. She looked at them and a small smile touched the corner of her lips before disappearing.
Reyna Sinclair.
"Was all of this really necessary? Or do you just have too much money and you don’t know what to do with it?"
"The latter." Rey said to him as she stretched out her hand to meet Ravi, "We meet again, Mr Ravi West."
"Please call me Ravi." Ravi also stretched out his hand, the moment their hands met, Ravi froze.
Human beings are made of atoms, in fact, every creature aside from immortals and demons possesses trillions of atoms. There was something new in the cluster of atoms that made Rey up, he had been so nervous last night that he had not noticed it but today, clear as day, he could feel a gathering of atoms within her, emanating a pulsating rhythm akin to a heartbeat, A different heartbeat.
"Congratulations!" The word slipped from his mouth and the two siblings looked at him puzzled.
Ravi looked at the two of them, "Sorry, I was..."
"Mr...Ravi, why did you tell me Congratulations?" She was like a hawk who had finally gotten her talons into her prey’s back and would not let go.
Especially a prey that was so hard to capture like the elusive man in front of her.
Arlen pulled the seat for Ravi and smiled to diffuse the situation, "We just have an insane case, Rey. Understand if we are a little rattled. Hello, a bottle of Re Canlic, please, and three glasses. I have not seen you in a while, tell me, what have you been up to."
Ravi sighed, "Just two glasses and water."
Arlen turned to look at him, "You don’t want to drink." That was a little odd, Ravi loved wine. In fact, he had jars of wine buried in his garden.
Why was Arlen looking so dumbstruck like he was an alcoholic? He stopped himself from rolling his eyes and gestured to Rey, "The water is for your sister. She is pregnant."
