I Attack 10,000x Times Stronger-Chapter 8: Talent: NULL| Godscions!
When Igris’s vision cleared, he appeared directly in the Ninth Dimension. He had thought it would be a primitive version of earth, but he was wrong.
This world was massive. As he looked up, the sky was so far away it looked impossibly vast. It was so high and expansive that Igris felt as though he was an ant.
Hanging high above were three massive suns, that looked like three colossal eyes staring down at the world below.
Along with the Great Merge, it was said that the Nine Demonic Gods descended on Earth but they were trapped by a powerful being in Nine different Dimensions creating the Nine Demonic Dimensions.
After surviving the Awakening Ceremony, they were sent here directly.
[ Welcome to the First Dimension]
[Location: Marlin Academy Fortress. ]
Right now, Igris was standing inside a massive coliseum stadium located inside the fortress that looked more like a small country.
Hundreds of students, clad in combat suit, lined the walls of the fortress.
All around him, pillars of light deposited the students.
Thousands of 18-year-olds were teleported back from the Culling Game corpse as well as alive.
A few feet away from Igris, the decapitated head of a human boy rolled across the floor. To his left, a vampire girl materialized with her lower half completely missing. Severed limbs, shattered bones, and mutilated corpses littered the ground.
Most of those who were still alive were heavily injured, sobbing uncontrollably or staring blankly into space, traumatized by the horrors they had just faced.
"Medics! Move! Move!"
Teams of upper-class healing clerics and academy medical staff rushed into the plaza, their hands glowing with pale green restoration magic as they effectively healed the alive students.
Apart from that, about 100 guards exuded a suffocating, killing intent glared at the students that appeared as though daring the to make any sudden movement.
Igris scanned the massive space, his dual-colored eyes narrowing. Out of the 3,000 freshmen who had entered the Culling Game, barely 1,000 had returned.
His eyes rantically searched through the crowd.
’Where are they?’
He looked for Caleb’s fat figure, Icarus, Derek, and quiet Sam. They had been his roommates for a year. Despite his pathetic physical stats, they had helped him survive the hellish academy training.
But no matter how hard he looked, he couldn’t spot a single one of them. A heavy, sinking feeling dropped to the pit of his belly.
’Did they...’
Before Igris could dwell on the dark thought, a young man flashed as he appeared in the podium above.
The man was incredibly handsome. His pointy ears show that he was an Elve and from the three stars in his badge, he was a third year senior.
"Welcome to Marlin Academy Fortress," the young man announced, his voice smooth and strangely reaching the ears of all students.
"My name is John. Congratulations on surviving the Culling Game. As you can now see, you have full access to your System. Here in the Ninth Realm, you will use it to view your progress, hunt monsters, gain experience, and—most importantly—choose your Class."
John smiled as he continued. "But first, the Academy must formally register your new Talents to determine which division you belong to. In alphabetical order, you may step up to the platform and use your System to project your Talent Rank. Just like this."
The man tapped on the air and his system that was supposed to be hidden just to him alone was revealed beside him. But only the character C-Rank could be seen the others were blurred.
The surviving students nervously began to line up. In the spectator seats above the stadium, thousands of second and third-year students who were less busy watched the new meat with curiosity and judgmental eyes.
"Frank Episten!"
"F-Rank: Perverted Pleasure Domain."
—-
"Sean Combs!"
"E-Rank: Slippery Body!"
____
The reveals were mostly F and E ranks. But suddenly, the crowd gasped as a tall, arrogant boy stepped up.
"Isn’t that Dereck Storm from the Storm Family?"
"I heard one of their ancestors was actually a GodScion!"
"I’m sure he wouldn’t disappoint his family legacy!"
As they spoke,a blinding silver light erupted above him.
[ B - RANK ]
Instantly, a massive glowing divine ring appeared behind the youth.
"A Godscion!" the crowd roared in absolute shock. "Heavens, an actual Godscion! A deity sponsored him!"
In this world, if a god favored you during the Culling Games, you became a Godscion. The sponsor would automatically bestow a Class upon you. Depending on the level of the god, the gifted class could be Elite, Rare, or even Legendary class.
"Haha! What a magnificent talent!"
At that moment, the space above the coliseum suddenly tore open. A middle-aged man cloaked in a fiery aura stepped out of the void, descending directly in front of Derek.
John, the senior student, immediately bowed. "Good day, Professor White." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Professor White waved John off, his eyes locked greedily on Derek. "Good! Good! Good! I am highly satisfied. Boy, how about I become your master? With your Flame Element, I can teach you rare skills and grant you access to the High Treasury!"
Derek’s face flushed with arrogant pride. He opened his mouth to accept, but another booming voice shattered the air.
"Old White! When did you become so shameless?!"
Another figure stepped out of the void—a young-looking man with stark white hair and eyes crackling with electricity.
Professor White snorted. "Klein! How am I shameless just because you’re too slow?"
Professor Klein ignored him, looking at Derek. "Don’t listen to this old fossil, young man. If you become my disciple, I will personally guarantee you evolve into an Ultra Soldier in half a year!"
The crowd gasped. To reach the Ultra tier in six months was unprecedented. After a brief bidding war between the two powerhouses, Derek proudly chose Professor Klein.
After the excitement died down, the reveals continued. Out of the 1,000 survivors, there were actually four other Godscions hiding in the crowd: Alister Quinn, Felson Mandingo, Eden Ivy, and Annabelle Glored.
The sky tore open again as three more elite professors materialized. They bickered and fought over the four prodigies, eventually splitting them up, and even generously scooping up a few lucky C-Rank students to serve as their secondary disciples.
"Igris Solaris."
As Igris stepped out of the crowd, the remaining students alive immediately recognized him and they erupted into laughter.
"This sicky kid actually survived?"
"For 12 months he was dead last in every physical drill! He couldn’t even lift a training sword properly."
"I bet 10 Iron crowns he dies. How the hell is he standing here?"
Igris ignored them as he walked up the podium.
Calmly, he willed his System to project his rank.
A bright light shot out from his body, forming massive, glowing letters high above his head for the entire fortress to see.
[ NULL ]
The stadium went dead silent.
Then, an absolute uproar of disbelief and mockery exploded from the bleachers.
"Null?! What the fuck is a Null rank?!"
"I’ve read about this! It’s a once in a century glitch! If you forfeit the match before your opponent appears, it bugs out and gives you a Null!"
"He forfeited before the opponent even spawned!" a senior student laughed hysterically.
"Unbelievable!"
Even John, the composed third-year senior, looked absolutely stunned. He exchanged a baffled look with his fellow third year students with him.
He too had never seen a Null talent in his entire life.
Igris stood frozen on the podium, his face twitching.
’What is happening?’
The System prompt clearly told him he had earned a D-Rank. Why was it projecting Null?
"W-wait a minute. Let me try it again," Igris stammered with burning cheeks. He clicked the ’Reveal’ interface again.
[ NULL ]
"I... I awakened a Strengthening talent!" Igris tried to explain.
"Yeah, right!" a student from the crowd yelled back. "And my dad is the President of the New World Federation!"
The crowd chuckled at the banter, livening the tense and bloody atmosphere.
John cleared his throat, regaining his composure. "Uhm... right. That’s enough. You can step down now, Junior." He awkwardly shooed Igris off the platform.
Igris sighed, shaking his head as he walked down the steps. "Whatever."
Being underestimated isn’t a bad thing.
As the reveals continued, the crowd suddenly went completely silent again.
Two identical twin sisters gracefully walked up to the podium. They were breathtakingly beautiful, with silver hair and eyes that sparkled like diamonds.
Separately, they projected their ranks. [ C-Rank ].
But then, the sisters smiled at each other and suddenly joined their hands together.
A blinding light erupted from their joined palms.
Instantly, a massive [B-Rank] appeared above them.
Suddenly, a Divine Ring manifested behind them,
"Twin Godscions!" the crowd were stunned, absolutely losing their minds.
"An actual Twin Godscions!"
Instantly, two female professors dropped from the sky before the rings had even finished forming, landing on opposite sides of the podium.
"Your name is Luna and Lana right? I believe you know about me. What do you say about becoming my disciples."
It was Professor Tatiana who spoke first. Her eyes which were always indifferent were now serious as she stared at the twins with greed.
The other female professor didn’t back down.
When the two were arguing, a male professor made the mistake of appearing between them.
Both women glared at him, making him shiver.
"Ahem! Haha. Mistake, continue.
With awkward laugh he felt the stage.
The twins listened politely to both, consulted each other briefly in a look that communicated something the rest of the crowd couldn’t read, and then chose Professor Tatiana.
"Aye. That’s really sad." The other Professor sighed but accepted this with grace.
Professor Tatiana nodded once, placed a hand briefly on each twin’s shoulder, and wanted to move them off the podium but they whispered.
"Wait."
The twins gracefully descended the podium steps, ignoring the wealthy heirs and elite students trying to catch their attention.
Instead, they walked straight toward the back of the crowd... right up to Igris.
Before Igris could even react, the sisters leaned in and each pressed their soft lips against his cheeks and kiss him.
They pulled back, their silver eyes fluttering bashfully, before giggling.
Professor Tatiana glared at Igris before taking her students in a flash.
Igris stood there, completely dumbfounded.
The stadium erupted into a chaotic rage..
"The heavens have no eyes!" a student shrieked, falling to his knees.
"Two godly beauties, and they kissed the Null coward?! How?!"
"He isn’t even a Succubus! What kind of dark seduction magic is this?!"
"God Igris! Show me the way to the heavenly beauties!"
"My Goddess Luna! My Goddess Lana! Tainted by the trash!"
The male students, wounded or not, were bawling their eyes out in pure jealousy.
John’s brows furrowed. He glanced at the two ladies and his [Eyes Of Truth] activated.
His eyes transformed into two swirling pools as information about the ladies appeared before him.
Suddenly his eyes widened and a pure evil smile flashed across his lips. "Hiding now, are we?"
He couldn’t do anything hastily as the god sponsoring the girls would surely protect them but could the gods eyes remain on them forever?
"Eh-Hem! Quiet!"
A terrifying, oppressive pressure suddenly crashed down upon the stadium. The students felt their blood freeze and their body stiffened in fear.
Up on the podium, a massive, blazing Golden Ring had appeared behind John. The aura of a Legendary-Class Godscion swept over the crowd, forcing them into submission.
The students were shocked by this revelation but kept quiet and didn’t dare to speak die to the oppression weighing down on them.
"Continue."
The name continued to be called. Igris sighed in relief as he saw Caleb walked up the podium but apart from Caleb, he didn’t see his other roommates being called.
They were already dead.
Igris gritted his teeth. Henry should have been able to survive the first round. He was probably greedy and advanced to the second round.
Igris shook his head and sighed. He had warned them already, there was nothing else he could do right now.
"We are done here," John nodded his head as the talent registration was completed.
"Form up. Walk with me."
Thousand of surviving students obediently fell into step, following the handsome senior as he led them out of the coliseum and into the magnificent streets of Marlin Fortress.
"To your left is the Training Hall. You’ll need at least 100 Iron Crowns to its the Training Hall. Over there is the Medical Center... you will need to visit it often."
The heavily guarded vault over there is the Treasury. You can exchange monster cores and loot for weapons and resources."
He gestured to a towering mountain in the distance, dotted with luxurious mansions.
"That is the Instructor Mountain. Do not trespass unless invited."
"Up ahead is the Administration Center," John continued. "You will go there to officially register as students. Upon registration, you will each be gifted one active combat skill, one basic meditation technique, a standard-issue weapon, and an instruction manual detailing your dorm assignments and class schedules."
Finally, John turned toward the right, pointing at a massive, sprawling mountain range that contained five distinct peaks. The lowest peak was small, while the fifth peak pierced the clouds themselves.
"And that," John said, his eyes gleaming with a hint of reverence, "is the Student Mountain. There are five peaks. The lowest is for first-years; the highest is for fifth-years. The higher the peak, the denser the cosmic-dust in the atmosphere. If you want to cultivate faster and grow stronger... you will have to fight your way up."
