I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 533 Cloud
"Everyone else is stretching!" Boo whined, pointing at the others. "Look at them! Stretching happily! Having a stretch party! I am excluded!"
"You are always excluded from physical activities," Luna muttered, not looking up from her toe touch. "That is what being dead means."
Boo gasped in horror. "Rude! Extremely rude! I am not dead, I am differently alive!"
Rocky paused his stone stretches and looked at Boo sympathetically. "Maybe you can pretend to stretch?"
"I do not want to pretend," Boo huffed, crossing his arms. "I want a real stretch. I want to feel the burn."
"Ghosts cannot feel a burn," Felix said flatly.
"Then I want to feel the cold," Boo countered immediately.
"Ghosts cannot feel cold either."
Boo’s face scrunched in frustration. "Then what can ghosts feel?"
Felix thought for a moment. "Dramatic injustice. You seem to feel that very strongly."
Kelpie giggled, spraying tiny water droplets. "Boo always feels dramatic."
Boo floated lower, sulking now. "This is the worst stretching session ever. Worst in history. I am writing a complaint letter to the principal."
Vlad Jr. straightened from his perfect stretch position and walked calmly toward Boo. His expression was thoughtful, his small hands clasped behind his back.
"Perhaps," he said gently, "you can stretch your aura instead."
Boo blinked. "My what?"
"Your aura," Vlad Jr. repeated patiently. "Ghosts have a spiritual presence. You can expand it and contract it like stretching."
Boo’s eyes widened with interest. "I can?"
"Try," Vlad Jr. encouraged.
Boo closed his eyes and concentrated. His translucent form pulsed once, then twice, then suddenly expanded outward like a ghostly balloon. He grew bigger and bigger until he was twice his normal size, floating above them like a fluffy cloud.
"I am STRETCHING!" Boo shouted happily. "I am stretching so well!"
Luna looked up and snorted. "You look ridiculous."
"I look majestic," Boo corrected, now expanding even more. "I am a majestic stretching cloud ghost."
Drake, despite his tiredness, cracked a small smile. "That is actually impressive."
Boo beamed proudly and expanded even more, his body puffing outward like an overexcited balloon at a birthday party that had gotten just a little too much helium. He grew larger and rounder, floating higher toward the ceiling.
"I am a majestic stretching cloud ghost!" he declared proudly, his voice echoing slightly in his expanded state.
Drake, despite still looking tired and slightly wilted, cracked the smallest smile. "That is actually impressive. Very round. Very cloud-like."
Encouraged by the compliment, Boo expanded even further, pushing his limits like an athlete going for gold.
And then—
His smile dropped.
His round shape wobbled dangerously.
His edges rippled unevenly like jelly in an earthquake.
"Oh no," he muttered.
Then louder, with rising panic—
"Oh no, no, no. I cannot control myself!"
He began spinning slowly in the air, rolling like a ghostly tumbleweed caught in an invisible wind. His arms flailed uselessly while his enlarged form drifted sideways toward the door with increasing speed.
"Deflate!" Luna shouted, jumping to her feet.
"I AM TRYING!" Boo squeaked, spinning faster.
"Contract your aura!" Vlad Jr. called calmly, though his eyes widened slightly behind his composed expression.
"I FORGOT HOW!" Boo yelled as he bounced gently off the wall with a soft poomf and rolled toward the entrance like a giant ghostly beach ball.
Kelpie splashed water in panic, creating a small puddle. Rocky ducked behind his pebbles. Felix stood up quickly with uncharacteristic speed. Even Lucien stood up abruptly, his calm demeanor cracking.
Drake tried to rise faster than his tired body allowed and nearly stumbled, catching himself on the wall.
And at that exact moment—
Alina stepped inside, mid-sentence.
"Alright, sorry for taking so lo—"
She didn’t finish.
Something soft, round, and cool collided directly into her with a gentle whump.
"OOF!"
Boo’s enormous cloudy form smacked gently into her and wrapped around her like an overinflated pillow that had decided to hug her against her will.
She blinked.
Her arms were trapped inside translucent fluff. Her face was pressed against something that felt like cool cotton candy. Her voice came out muffled.
"Boo?" she said, her voice slightly distorted by ghost cloud.
"I AM SORRY, TEACHER!" Boo shouted from somewhere above her head, his voice echoing through his own inflated form. "I AM MAJESTICALLY OUT OF CONTROL! THIS IS NOT HOW I PLANNED THIS!"
The rest of the class froze completely.
Luna covered her mouth with both hands, her eyes wide.
Felix pressed his fingers to his forehead so hard they left marks.
Rocky looked absolutely horrified, his face frozen in an expression of pure alarm.
Kelpie tried not to laugh and failed spectacularly, water spraying from his mouth.
Vlad Jr. stepped forward quickly, his small hands raised in a calming gesture. "Teacher, please remain still. He is... stretching. It is a situation."
Lucien and Sable looked shocked, their shadows rippling with mirrored concern.
"Stretching?" Alina repeated faintly, her voice muffled as she tried to untangle herself from a floating cloud that had apparently decided to become her new clothing.
Drake, despite being exhausted, burst out laughing so hard his tail thumped against the floor. "He wanted to feel the burn! He got the burn!"
"I WANTED PARTICIPATION!" Boo cried dramatically from somewhere in the vicinity of the ceiling. "NOT ATTACK! PARTICIPATION!"
Alina finally managed to wiggle one arm free and gently push against Boo’s inflated form, creating a small gap between her face and ghost fluff.
"Boo," she said calmly, impressively calmly given that she was half buried in a supernatural being, "inhale slowly."
"I DO NOT HAVE LUNGS!"
"Pretend you do."
Boo paused mid-spin, his enormous form wobbling uncertainly.
"...Pretend lungs?" he asked, the concept clearly baffling him.
"Yes," she said patiently, as if this were a completely normal conversation to have while trapped inside a ghost. "Imagine breathing in. Then breathing out. Slow and steady."
There was a collective silence as the entire class held their breath.
Boo’s cloud-like body trembled once.
Then slowly—
Very slowly—
He began to shrink.
The room exhaled together as one as he deflated gradually, wobbling down from the ceiling like a falling feather until he was back to his normal floating size, hovering inches above the floor.
He looked dazed. Confused. Slightly embarrassed.
