I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 556
When Dante pushed the classroom door open, the familiar low noise of children talking spilled into the hallway before slowly fading.
He stepped inside without speaking. The door closed quietly behind him.
For a moment he simply stood there.
His dark eyes moved across the room, calmly observing the scene before him. Taking it all in. Assessing. Calculating.
Class D looked exactly the way it always did when Alina had not yet started the lesson. Chairs had been dragged away from their desks in small groups. Small bags sat open on the floor, spilling crayons and snacks. A few colorful books lay scattered near the carpet area where someone had clearly been reading before getting distracted.
And the babies were completely scattered.
Near the center desk, Felix, Lucien, and Sable had formed their own small meeting. Sable had climbed onto the desk itself and was sitting on top of it comfortably, his little shadow legs swinging while he talked with great enthusiasm about something only he understood. Lucien stood beside him with his arms loosely folded, listening carefully with that serious expression he always wore when thinking about something important. Felix sat on a chair next to them with his legs crossed, leaning back as if he were attending a council discussion rather than a kindergarten conversation.
Across the room, Kelpie and Rocky had pulled their chairs very close together and were whispering about something in very serious voices. Kelpie’s small puddle of water had already spread around the legs of his chair, creeping across the floor while he leaned toward Rocky, speaking quietly with dramatic hand gestures. Rocky listened with wide eyes, nodding every few seconds like they were planning something extremely important.
Near the window, Drake sat slumped in his chair looking completely miserable. His small dragon wings drooped behind him like forgotten laundry and his tail rested on the floor without moving, a tragic sight. He was pouting dramatically while complaining to Luna and Vlad Jr. about something that was clearly the end of the world.
Luna stood with her arms folded, her golden brown eyes narrowed slightly as she listened to him. She looked annoyed but also mildly interested in whatever Drake was saying, her tail twitching behind her.
Vlad Jr. stood properly beside the desk, posture straight as always. He seemed to be trying to maintain some order while also politely listening to Drake’s complaints, occasionally nodding with dignified sympathy.
And Boo was asleep.
On the ceiling.
The little ghost floated upside down near the corner of the room, completely horizontal, snoring quietly while spinning very slowly like a drifting balloon that had lost all sense of direction. He was wearing a sparkly purple shirt, and his little mouth was slightly open.
For several seconds Dante simply observed the entire situation.
Then he stepped forward.
The faint sound of his shoes touching the classroom floor carried across the room like a stone dropping into still water.
Lucien noticed first.
His eyes lifted toward the front of the classroom.
Then he froze completely.
Felix followed his gaze almost instantly, his casual lean becoming slightly more alert.
Sable stopped swinging his legs mid-swing, his little feet hovering in the air.
Kelpie turned his head so fast a small arc of water splashed onto Rocky.
Rocky blinked, his eyes going wide.
Drake stopped talking in the middle of his sentence, his mouth still open.
Luna slowly turned toward the front of the room, her eyes narrowing with suspicion.
Vlad Jr. straightened immediately, his small back becoming even more perfect.
And Boo, still asleep, rolled slightly in his sleep and bumped softly against the ceiling with a quiet thump.
He didn’t wake up.
Now every pair of eyes in the classroom was staring at the tall figure standing near the teacher’s desk.
Dante stood there calmly, holding the attendance sheet and Alina’s small notebook in one hand. His white shirt sleeves were neatly rolled to his forearms, revealing the lean strength beneath. His black trousers were perfectly straight, not a single wrinkle.
And the glasses resting on his nose made the whole situation look even stranger.
The room had gone completely silent.
Sable blinked twice.
Then his eyes widened dramatically as he realized Dad was really here to teach them.
"Dad?" he said slowly, his voice carrying across the quiet room.
Drake looked between him and Dante with deep confusion.
"Why is the principal in our classroom?" he whispered loudly to no one in particular.
Felix leaned forward slightly, resting his chin on his hand as he studied Dante carefully.
Vlad Jr. immediately stood properly beside his desk, his small hands at his sides.
"Good morning, Sir," he said politely, his voice steady and formal.
Kelpie quickly slid back into his chair, trying to look innocent despite the puddle growing beneath him.
Rocky did the same, his stone hands folding nervously on the desk.
Luna narrowed her eyes suspiciously, clearly not sure what to make of this situation.
Drake blinked again, his mouth still open.
And Boo, still sleeping, slowly drifted down from the ceiling in his sleep, his translucent form floating gently through the air until he bumped softly against the wall with another quiet thump.
He still didn’t wake up.
Dante looked across the entire class once more, his dark eyes moving from face to face.
Then he walked calmly toward the teacher’s desk and placed the attendance sheet down with quiet precision.
His voice was steady, calm, completely unbothered.
"Good morning." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
The class stayed silent for a moment.
And the silence made Boo suddenly wake up.
His body twitched slightly before his eyes flew open.
"Huh?"
He blinked twice while floating upside down, completely disoriented.
Then he slowly turned his head toward the front of the room, following everyone else’s gaze.
His eyes widened immediately, growing to the size of small saucers.
"PRINCIPAL IN CLASSROOM!" Boo shouted dramatically, his voice echoing off the walls. "PRINCIPAL INVASION! CODE RED! EVERYONE PANIC!"
He began floating in frantic circles near the ceiling, his sparkly purple shirt catching the light with every spin.
Dante watched him calmly for a moment.
Then he looked down at Alina’s notebook, flipped to the first page, and began reading her neatly written morning instructions.
"We will begin with attendance," he said calmly, completely ignoring Boo’s panic.
Boo stopped spinning.
He stared at Dante.
Then he whispered loudly to no one in particular:
"...He has glasses."
