Emil looked at Alaric he was staring at him.
Emil muttered. "Soul Insight."

Emil's eyes twitched.
Emil stared at his stats for a bit and then he took a few seconds before he whispered to himself. "What are these stats? All stats over B? If I go and duke him head-on, I will be dead in just a few seconds."
Then Emil looked at the threat level. His jaw dropped as he saw that. 'It hasn't even be a day since I got the quest and the threat levels already went to 70%?'
He sighed and looked at his team. 'I better come up with some plan or something.'
He deactivated the skill and rubbed his eyes for a bit.
Luin noticed his expression."Are you good, Emil? You've been tense since morning."
Kael looked at Emil and said. "Yeah seriously. You look tensed today, what's the deal? Do we have to kill someone or what? I am ready, just say the name."
Emil fake smiled and said. "Don't worry guys, I haven't slept last night. So, that's why I guess."
Riven didn't say anything. He just glanced at Emil, then at Alaric. He was alert and keeping his eye on Alaric as per the instructions given by Emil.
The bell rang, the teacher picked up his stuff said farewell and left. It was lunch break now.
All students got up and started going to the ground, cafeteria in groups.
Emil and Riven were staring at Alaric, his friends approached him and he left with them for the cafeteria.
Kael called Riven and Emil and said. "You dumb fucks, me and Luin are already up. Why are you both still sitting, get up and let's go eat. I am so damn hungry."
Luin added. "Yeah! The class was tiring a lot, let's just go and eat now."
Emil sighed and put his hands on the table and got up. "Yeah, let's go and eat."

The team entered the cafeteria, they all grabbed their food trays and stood in line to get their food.
They all took whatever they wanted to eat.
Riven looked at Emil, he didn't take a lot of items to eat, he just took one croissant and a pack of milk. freёwebnoѵel.com
Kael said. "What the fuck, Emil! Just take your food damn it! You wanna die or something?"
Emil sighed and said. "Not in the mood to eat today, Kael. I am not feeling well you know."
Kael said. "Yeah fine, at least eat more when dinner time comes."
Emil nodded.
As they searched for the seat, Emil's eyes drifted again and fell on Alaric and his friends.
Alaric was sitting with the two other boys—his friends, it seemed so. One of them playfully elbowed Alaric.
Alaric was sitting with two other boys—his friends, it seemed. One of them playfully elbowed Alaric.
"Hey, you spoke today. That's gotta be a record you know, it's been ages since you last spoke to us." He joked.
Another one of his friends added with a chuckle. "Careful dude, he might curse you or something. With his silent aura."
The first guy said again. "Dure, you seriously need to stop zoning out like that, you know?"
"Yeah, for real." The other one added while grinning a bit. "It feels like we are talking to a brick wall."
Alaric didn't reply back to them.
"Oi, Alaric. Hello?" The first one waved his hand in front of Alaric face.
The second one was added. "Bro, are you even alive in there?"
Still, there was no response yet.
The second boy smiled a bit. "Maybe he's a ghost, who's trying to scare us. That'd explain his creepy-ass smile."
They both joked and laughed.
"Or maybe he's just shy, huh? Come on Alaric, we have been friends for so long now. You're making it weird, man."
One of them poked Alaric's forehead.
They both laughed and playfully teased Alaric
But Alaric didn't, he was serious.
His fingers twitched time by time. His eyes started to flicker. There was a fork in his hand—and suddenly, it moved.
Emil lifted the fork and aimed it at his friend's arm.
The metal, the front of the fork stabbed into the boy's arm. It was not too deep, not too shallow either—enough to draw multiple drops of blood.
"Agh! What the fuck, man!?" The boy yelled.
Everyone at the table went silent.
Emil saw all this take place. 'Oh fuck! That shit must have hurt him badly. So now it has started? The signs are clear.'
Alaric stood up, he started breathing heavily. Panting hard. Something was changing inside him, he knew it.
His eyes started to lose its focus. One of his hands started to tremble.
Then—without saying a single word, he ran away from the cafeteria. Left the tray on the table, and ran away as fast as he could, he collided with a few students, who were standing in his way. He left his friends behind, and then he finally escaped from there.
Emil and the team saw everything.
Luin's expression started to darken. "What the hell? What was that? It was not normal at all."
Kael's eye twitched. "Dude just stabbed his friend's arm, just because of a small joke."
Emil whispered under his breath. "Time for us to start moving too."
Riven crossed his arms and whispered it to Emil. "Now I know why you told me to keep a close eye on that kid, I will not ask you now, but in I future I want my answers."
Emil looked at him. "It's not that deep so let it be for now because now we have to focus on that brat."

Alaric slammed his dorm room's door shut with a loud thud. He locked it.
He stood there, breathing heavily.
He grabbed his head with both of his hands. The voice inside his mind started whispering to him again.
