I Became Part of the Dragon's Hoard-Chapter 72: Longing in the Circuits
Bery wore a baby blue and white yukata that matched her ears. She looked at her dragoness, and Valerie had on a red and black yukata. Though, there was a big difference in the vibe each of them were giving. Valerie's large chest made her look more seductive, while Bery's body combined with the outfit made her look more cute.
The two of them stood on a ship, and Valerie placed her hands on Bery's waist. Now that they were alone, the dragoness readily kissed Bery's neck. "Is this everything you imagined it would be?"
Bery glanced at the sail of the ship and felt the rocking beneath her. She was worried that she'd be seasick at first, but she guessed that her own venture with mana cured her of that. The kitten finally answered the dragoness after taking a few steps in her open-toed shoes.
"The ocean is so calm right now, but I gotta say that I prefer you flying around to this."
Valerie chuckled. "It's only natural that would be the case. Flying is much more freeing than sailing on the water, but we were given this ship."
Bery remembered the empress practically forcing them to take the ship of that blue dragon. After Bery sold her painting, Aqua had several people deliver all of the blue coins to this ship's storage. It was soon after that when the kitten and the dragon bought their yukatas, and then Bery was given her pencils and paper as promised. The price didn't even put a dent in her 5,000 coins. She was a whole 2 coins lighter.
The kitten was eager to try drawing with her new utensils, but she wanted to enjoy this moment of sailing with her beloved.
Valerie put her hands inside of Bery's yukata and grabbed the kitten's chest.
Bery jumped from the sudden groping, but she did not try and stop the dragoness. She turned around and stood on the tips of her toes, planting a kiss on Valerie's lips. "You are so worked up today."
The dragoness smiled. "I am merely admiring what is already mine. You looked so cute while you were lost in thought."
Bery sighed and wrapped her arms around Valerie. "If I looked so cute, then why would you stop my flowing thoughts?"
"That's because I thought you would look even cuter in my arms. Guess what, I was right. You look much cuter when I am holding you."
"Is that so?"
"That is so."

While two love birds were sailing away, Yuri dealt with a completely different issue. The robot had finished her duty of making a vault. She finished cleaning the entire castle from top to bottom already, and she made sure to check on the other two frequently to see if they would break any of her pots or vases.
Ever since that day the two had broken her vase, they'd become closer, but what about Yuri? The robot was aware she'd be appointed as an advisor to the nearby town, and she was already calculating ways for the citizens to prosper.
She was keenly aware of how disadvantaged they were in terms of technology, but she heeded the warnings of the dragoness. Rapid changes in technology would only bring potential dangers to the town.
Calculating ways to be useful to Lady Valerie and Administrator Kitten. Oddly, she felt a rumbling of her circuits when she called the administrator that. She would never call Bery that out loud, but she was aware of this new feeling she felt when she did so.
Yuri placed a flower within her vase, vaguely aware of the chirping bird on her shoulder. She'd begun to understand her magic even more, and with the usage of nature magic, she attracted all kinds of animals to her.
The robot walked outside into the valley and watched the waterfall. For the first time in her existence, she did things for no purpose. What was the meaning in staring at something? She had no idea, but she knew that it made her feel calm.
"Yuri!" Emary cheered and waved over the robot. The elf ran, until she was in front of the robot. "Good morning. What are you doing outside so early?"
Yuri shrugged her stone arm and her wooden arm. "I was calculating the purpose of a water fall on a warm winter's day."
Emary chuckled. "If Bery was here, she would say that you don't calculate those things." The elf followed the golem's eyes and stared at the waterfall. "It is rather warm here in the winter, especially when compared to the north. Though, there is still a chance that the water will freeze over at some point."
"Acknowledged. I have determined that this place is a humid climate with lower temperature fluctuations."
Emary raised an eyebrow. "Was the place you came from somehow different?"
"Yuri doesn't know. I did not come from a singular place like you. All of my parts were assembled in different warehouses and came together to form me for the purpose of an interstellar adventure."
Emary sighed and shook her head. "Bery was right. Sometimes you say the most incomprehensible things. If all of your parts were assembled by different people, does that mean golem building took place all over?"
Yuri nodded her stone. "You may understand it that way. The entire planet was dedicated to golem building. G72B was a planet colonized with golem building in mind. The truth is that I have no idea what my creators were actually like. They built me with a designation as a ship's AI. All of my knowledge was downloaded into me based on the remnants of their entire civilization."
Emary blinked several times. "I see…"
Elanore soon joined the two. She yawned and stretched her arms. "How are the both of you so lively in the morning?"
Emary rolled her eyes. "We are not so lively, you are the one that is far too lethargic."
"Well, I am a vampire. We tend to be more nocturnal."
Yuri blinked her robotic eyes several times, flashing them on and off. "What do you call a robot that feeds on the circuits of another robot?"
Elanore sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Is this another one of your jokes? I don't know. What do you call it?"
"You call it a data vampire," Yuri said, finishing with a blank laugh.
Emary laughed. "I don't really get the joke, but I can tell you're making fun of Elanore, and I applaud you for that."
Elanore frowned and glared at the golem. "I already have to deal with Emary's bickering. Why would you add to my torment?"
Yuri blinked. "According to my calculations, you are the one that provoke's Emary more. In my data set, there is a proverb about balance. By making jokes to balance the scales, I am promoting peace and prosperity." Yuri placed her wooden hand against her stone chin. "What do you call it when a dragon promotes balance through force?"
Elanore looked at the golem with a helpless expression. "Another one?"
Emary had a different expression. She was eagerly awaiting the answer, and the golem provided.
"You call it tipping the scales." She finished with another blank laugh.
Elanore sighed and gripped Emary's arm. "Don't listen to anymore of this construct's jokes. She is only capable of making puns. Worse yet, they are not even good puns. I would rather listen to the jester in the vampire court."
Emary raised an eyebrow. "Your kingdom has a jester?"
"Yes, those people are all addicted to arts, and they consider comedy as the same thing."
"You are the one that is always acting playful. Perhaps you served as the jester once?"
Yuri laughed robotically at Emary's question. She grew a small berry with her nature magic, and she plucked it, feeding it to the bird on her arm.
Emary stopped herself from being pulled away by the vampire and stared at the golem. "I am quite jealous of your ability to be with nature. Even though I am the reason you can use nature magic, you seem to have even more capabilities."
Yuri reached out her wooden hand and patted the elf. She wove the magic inside of her body and formed a long yellow fruit, a banana. "I have figured out the perfect mixture for this. Would you taste it for me?"
Emary gripped the yellow thing and turned it over several times. "How do you even eat this? Do you have to peel this skin?"
The robot nodded. "You take off the peel, and you eat it. I have been trying to figure out the golden ratio, but it's hard to calculate taste. I have never experienced it, so I based it on chemical bonds to form a banana."
"A banana? Is that what it's called?" The elf went along with the robot and peeled away the shell. She took a bite, and her eyes widened. "This is really good."
The elf extended the banana to Elanore, and the vampire eagerly bit from the same spot as the elf.
Elanore nodded. "It is a bit sweet, but it has another strange flavor." Though the vampire put her hand up. "It is good, but it's not to my tastes."
Emary ate the rest of banana and thanked Yuri.
The robot watched as the two held hands and walked towards the castle. Yuri looked to the sky, wondering what she would spend the rest of her day on. She couldn't help this feeling of longing in her motherboard when she thought of the return of her lady and her administrator.
