I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!-Chapter 156: Tears of Joy
Cyrus leaned closer and stole a quick kiss from her lips before saying, "Because we didn’t think you minded this arrangement. If you’re jealous, you should say so."
Roxanna immediately turned her face away. She couldn’t even bring herself to look at him. In a small, hesitant voice, she replied, "I... I’m not jealous... really."
But her actions betrayed her. The way she avoided his eyes, the faint pout on her lips, everything told a different story. Still, she refused to admit it. It was far too embarrassing, and worse... it would make her sound ridiculous.
Cyrus noticed, of course, and yet he chose not to tease her further. Roxanna was pregnant, tired, and had just endured a long journey, so the last thing he wanted was to upset her.
Thankfully, neither Luan nor Aelin did anything that might make Roxanna feel uneasy. Luan never once urged her to hold his waist when the horse sped up. Aelin, meanwhile, seemed more interested in the scenery... or occasionally Roxanna herself.
[It seems I really have been overreacting.] Roxanna sighed inwardly. [I have to stop acting like an unreasonable woman.]
If Cyrus and Luan were honest, Roxanna actually looked adorable when she tried so hard to suppress the jealousy in her heart. Perhaps they didn’t see it as something bad either, considering that the "evil Roxanna" used to whip them whenever she thought they were flirting with another woman.
So, in conclusion, Roxanna pouting her lips or puffing her cheeks out of jealousy now felt like a gentle breeze instead of a raging tornado.
"I didn’t realize your place would be this hot!" Aelin exclaimed, pulling off her fur coat. Her cheeks were already flushed from the heat.
"This is actually normal," Cyrus said calmly. "During summer, the ground can even crack."
Aelin widened her eyes, shocked by that fact. "T-That’s horrendous!"
At that moment, Roxanna could guess that Aelin was asking herself whether she still wanted to leave the Golden Mountain for such a long time.
"Don’t worry, at night the temperature will definitely feel cooler," Roxanna reassured her. "It won’t be as cold as the Golden Mountain, but it’s still better than during the day."
Based on Aelin’s expression, she still seemed doubtful, but since she had already descended from the Golden Mountain, there was no way she wouldn’t continue the journey.
"Maybe I’ll get used to it later," Aelin said. "I hope so."
After that, the journey continued in silence. Aelin, who had once been excited by every new sight, now focused only on fanning her face, trying to escape the heat.
Luckily, the wild horses Luan brought were willing to carry them all the way to the Vixeria Tribe, so they truly didn’t have to walk anymore.
"Roxanna, we’re home," Cyrus said. He gently poked her cheek, trying to wake her as she had accidentally fallen asleep during the journey.
The moment Roxanna heard the word home, her eyes flew open. She straightened her back instantly and jumped down from the horse without a word.
She didn’t even greet Aelin and didn’t look at anyone.
The only thing on Roxanna’s mind now was meeting Calen, whom she had left behind for so long.
She ran toward their hut, ignoring the surprised calls and greetings from the tribe members she passed.
"Lead—" Marlow barely had time to react before Roxanna rushed past him.
However, since the news about Calen suddenly being unable to wake up had spread throughout the Vixeria Tribe, they understood why their leader acted that way.
"Calen!" Roxanna opened the door—more precisely, she kicked it open—and shouted, "I BROUGHT A DOCTOR FOR YOU!"
Azul, who had just stepped out of the room, froze in shock. The wooden basin slipped from his hands, crashing onto the floor as water splashed everywhere.
"Roxanna?" His eyes widened with disbelief. "You’re finally home!"
He looked so happy that his teeth were visible as he smiled widely. However, when Azul opened his arms to hug her, Roxanna walked straight past him, slipping under his outstretched arms.
"How’s Calen?" Roxanna asked in a trembling voice.
She stood frozen at the doorway, her fingers lightly gripping the wooden frame. Her eyes were locked on Calen.
He was still lying on the bed, motionless, his chest rising and falling in slow, steady breaths. He was alive, but still asleep.
It looked like Azul and Zeir had taken care of him while he remained in a coma. His body was clean and his hair neatly brushed.
They had even fed him coconut water so he wouldn’t lack nourishment.
They had done everything they could while she was gone, and somehow, that simple fact made Roxanna’s chest tighten.
"He’s fine." Azul let out a soft sigh. He was a little upset because Roxanna didn’t want to hug him, but since she wasn’t in the best state of mind, he decided to understand.
He walked toward her and stood beside her. "He still hasn’t woken up," he said gently, "but he’s fine."
The moment she heard that, she let out a long breath, as if she had just released a heavy weight from her heart.

As Roxanna was about to step into the room, her legs suddenly lost balance. If Azul hadn’t quickly grabbed her hand, her face would have hit the floor.
"Roxanna!" His hand shot out, gripping hers tightly. "What’s wrong?!" he asked, panic rising in his voice. "Did you get hurt during the journey?"
Roxanna opened her mouth, then closed it again. She wanted to say something, but at the same time, she didn’t know what to say to her husband.
In the end, the only thing that left her lips was a small sob that slowly grew louder. Tears filled her eyes and streamed down her cheeks.
"Why? Why? Why are you crying?" Azul became even more panicked when Roxanna didn’t respond.
His grip tightened as helplessness crept into his chest. "Roxanna... talk to me..."
Not long after, Zeir, who had been training the warriors earlier, immediately returned home upon hearing that Roxanna had come back.
However, the first thing he heard was Roxanna’s crying. His heart instantly tightened because he thought something bad had happened to his wife, or perhaps something bad had happened to Calen.
Whatever it was, Zeir didn’t like it. He rushed toward the room, and his heart grew even more uneasy when he saw Roxanna crying on the floor while Azul held her from the side.
"What happened?!" Zeir, who usually managed to stay calm, suddenly became panicked as negative thoughts filled his mind.
"Azul?"
Zeir and Azul looked at each other. He expected an answer, but Azul only shook his head, a sign that he also didn’t understand what had happened.
After a moment, Azul finally spoke again. "Roxanna? Didn’t you say you brought a doctor for Calen?"
Roxanna gave a weak, shaky nod, but she said nothing. Her throat felt tight, as if something invisible was choking her.
Honestly, she didn’t understand why she was suddenly crying like this. It was probably because, during the journey to the Golden Mountain, she kept thinking that she wouldn’t succeed in completing the mission and let Calen die as a result.
That fear had followed her every step of the way.
What if she was too late?
What if Calen never woke up?
What if all her efforts meant nothing?
Those thoughts had quietly piled up inside her heart, growing heavier with each passing day.
And now, she was finally standing here, seeing Calen lying on the bed, and she had also brought a reindeer doctor from the Golden Mountain.
Everything she had been holding back finally broke free, and her tears kept flowing as if a dam had broken.
Her shoulders trembled as she spoke. "I was... scared..." Roxanna whispered weakly, her voice barely audible.
Azul’s arms tightened around her the moment the words left her lips. The strength he usually carried so effortlessly now felt fragile, as if her pain had shaken something deep inside him.
On the other side, Zeir was kneeling in front of her. "Scared...?" he repeated softly.
Roxanna nodded, her breathing uneven. She pressed a hand against her chest as if trying to calm the storm inside.
"I kept thinking..." Her voice cracked again. "What if I failed? What if I couldn’t bring the doctor back? What if Calen..."
She couldn’t finish because the thought alone was too painful.
Azul gently rested his chin against her head, his voice low and soothing despite the worry in his eyes. "But you didn’t fail," he murmured. "You came back, and you said you had successfully brought a doctor home. Isn’t that something to celebrate instead of crying over?"
Roxanna bit her lower lip before finally lifting her head. She looked at both of her husbands, her eyes filled with tears. "These aren’t tears of sadness..." she whispered. "...They’re tears of joy."
