I Become The Richest Man With A monthly Salary of Twenty Thousand Yuan-Chapter 685 - 479 Compelling
After about a two-minute walk, they finally arrived at the spot where the sightseeing cars were parked. They scanned their wristbands and boarded a vehicle.
This time, Yun Xinya wasn’t driving. Instead, she took the passenger seat. Apart from the driver, they were the only five people in the entire car. Looking at the other vehicles, each had at least ten people. This was yet another privilege.
That’s just how tourist attractions are; even the sightseeing cars have different price tiers. There are the 15 Yuan and 60 Yuan options, and then there’s the chartered type they were on. The difference lies in the vehicle model and the service provided. With their chartered car, it would wait for them at the junction after they got off at the first scenic spot. Other passengers had to wait for the next available car. During the off-season, it wasn’t too bad; with fewer people, the wait was only a few minutes. In the peak season, however, you’d have to queue. Sometimes the wait could be half an hour—long enough to have walked to the second scenic spot.
Aboard the car, they enjoyed the view of the passing coconut palm forests and vines as a gentle breeze brushed across their faces. Tong Dongnuan couldn’t wait to take out her phone and start snapping pictures.
As for Xia Liang, he wasn’t particularly interested in the scenery; he was more intrigued by the park’s activities.
After taking about a dozen photos, Tong Dongnuan suddenly called out, "Miss Yun, could you help us take a group photo?"
"Of course," Yun Xinya nodded.
"Great! Thank you, Miss Yun!" Delighted, Tong Dongnuan handed her phone to Yun Xinya. She then wrapped one arm around Xia Liang’s and made a peace sign next to her cheek with her other hand.
Xia Liang couldn’t help but comment internally. It seems like Tong Dongnuan doesn’t take pictures often. It’s always a peace sign or posing as if something hurts. A stomachache, a toothache, a backache, a headache... Honestly, it’s so tacky... But when Tong Dongnuan does it, how can it be so cute?
Looking at Tong Dongnuan beside him, Xia Liang couldn’t help but smile again.
CLICK!
The camera shuttered, freezing the moment forever.
"Done! Take a look," Yun Xinya said, handing the phone back to Tong Dongnuan.
Taking the phone and looking at the photo, Tong Dongnuan’s eyes lit up. "Wow! Miss Yun, your photography skills are amazing! You’ve made me and Xia Liang look so good!"
"Not at all. It’s because you two are off-the-charts gorgeous. You have no bad angles, so any picture would look good," Yun Xinya said, and she meant every word. She had originally planned to find some good angles to show off her photography skills to Tong Dongnuan. But she quickly realized that the pair’s good looks were simply heaven-defying; they were 360 degrees of perfect, looking fantastic from any and every angle.
Hearing Yun Xinya’s praise, Tong Dongnuan remained humble. "No, no, it’s mainly because Miss Yun is a great photographer, right, Xia-Cutie?" she said, gently shaking Xia Liang’s arm.
"Mhm, mhm!" Xia Liang promptly affirmed.
Tong Dongnuan nodded in satisfaction. "Great! Let’s take a lot more later, and I’ll send them to you."
"Okay!"
Afterward, Xia Liang took a couple more photos for Tong Dongnuan.
Before long, the car stopped. Yun Xinya was the first to get off and begin the introduction.
"The entire Ye Ling Valley is divided into four major sections. This is the first section, Lingye Village, where you can enjoy large-scale live performances, wander through tropical rainforests in the latest 3D Experience Hall, and try the unique cuisine of Lingye Village..."
As Yun Xinya introduced the area while they walked, the group arrived at the venue for the large-scale live performance, "The Origin of Lingye Valley." The show had already started, and a large crowd had gathered inside.
The three of them found a place to stand and watch.
Truth be told, Xia Liang wasn’t very interested in this kind of performance. Tong Dongnuan, however, was visibly excited. She took out her phone and started snapping pictures and recording videos of the tribal performers on stage, who had their faces painted with patterns and were constantly hopping and yelling.
Few men were interested in this sort of thing; most had been dragged along by their girlfriends. At most, Xia Liang saw them take out their phones to snap a couple of photos or a short video to show off to their buddies.
Of course, there were exceptions. For example, two guys not far from Xia Liang were watching with keen interest. Following their gaze, one could see the curvaceous "female tribal performers" on the stage.
As expected... The world does not lack beauty, but rather the eyes to discover it.
After watching for a while and feeling a bit bored, Xia Liang turned to see Tong Dongnuan still completely engrossed. He leaned in and asked softly, "I’m going to buy water. What would you like?"
"Mineral water, please." She turned her head and continued, "Let’s just get one bottle for the two of us. We can share so you don’t have to carry it around when it’s not finished."
Hearing her words, Xia Liang nodded. "Alright."
The weight is nothing to me, but this is her way of being considerate. I should accept it, right?
Since a performance was happening on stage and everyone was watching, Xia Liang didn’t want to speak loudly. It’s not about rules, just basic etiquette. It’s like how everyone in a movie theater implicitly agrees not to talk loudly and ruin the experience for others.
"I’ll ask Miss Yun what she wants, too," Tong Dongnuan added, making an ’OK’ sign. A moment later, she turned back. "Everyone wants mineral water. Miss Yun also said to just scan the wristband when you buy it."
"Got it. You keep watching," Xia Liang nodded and left his spot to buy the water. A few minutes later, he returned with the bottles.
Xia Liang picked up a bottle of Farmer’s Three Punches, twisted the cap open, and then handed it to Tong Dongnuan.
"Here."
Tong Dongnuan took it, her eyes filled with their usual satisfaction. After taking the bottle, she didn’t drink it right away. Instead, she held it up to Xia Liang’s lips.
"You went to all the trouble of getting the water, so of course you should drink first."
