I Become The Richest Man With A monthly Salary of Twenty Thousand Yuan-Chapter 697 - 485: Stunning
As the Online Friends in the chat were getting excited, Xia Liang leaned closer to the camera to greet everyone.
"Hello, everyone. I’m Xia Liang, and I’m a Magician."
Instantly, the women in the audience became his fangirls. Even He Jing felt a jolt, as if a current had just passed through her heart. Xia Liang was already speaking to her.
"Before I perform the next magic trick, may I be so bold as to ask you, Miss Anchor, have you ever been kissed?"
"Of course. I’m quite an experienced player, you know," He Jing said, puffing out her chest with her usual bravado. However, she sounded unconvincing and seemed to be merely putting on a brave face.
Xia Liang smiled. "That’s good. In that case, you must be familiar with a French Kiss, right?"
"Of course. Isn’t it just opening your mouth and sticking out your tongue?"
He Jing’s blunt reply made the spectators burst into laughter, heating up the atmosphere. The audience in the livestream was also amused once again.
"Awesome! That’s our Sister Jing."
"The Sister Jing we know and love is back."
"A god-tier explanation. Totally on point."
...
Xia Liang couldn’t help but chuckle.
"That’s a very fitting explanation. Since everyone knows what it is, this next part will be easy. The magic trick I’m about to perform is called the French Kiss."
"The French Kiss? Is there really a magic trick with that name?"
"Don’t think you can take advantage of our Sister Jing just because you’re handsome!"
"Anchor, run! I’m the one who should be giving you a French Kiss!"
"Let go of the Anchor! If you’re coming for someone, handsome, come for me!"
Many of the onlookers thought Xia Liang wasn’t performing magic so much as flirting. The surrounding crowd began to jeer playfully, but He Jing simply watched him with a look of pure anticipation.
Though his words were frivolous, Xia Liang didn’t do anything inappropriate. He simply took a deck of playing cards from his pocket, handed them to her, and said, "This is just an ordinary deck of cards. You can buy one anywhere for three Yuan. Please check it for anything unusual, and then pick a card you like."
He Jing inspected the deck carefully. Finding nothing out of the ordinary, she drew a single card. "They really are just ordinary cards. So I can pick any one I want? Is the Six of Hearts okay?" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Xia Liang took back the rest of the cards and handed her a red marker. "Of course. Now that you’ve chosen it, please sign your name on it to mark it."
"Like this?" He Jing quickly signed her name at the top of the card.
Xia Liang glanced at it. "There’s too much white space at the bottom. It looks a little plain. How about you draw something else? Since we’re talking about a kiss, why not draw a lip print?"
"Okay," He Jing agreed without hesitation. She immediately drew a lip print in the middle of the card before handing it back.
Xia Liang took the card and showed it to the surrounding crowd, announcing loudly, "As you can all see, with this signature and mark, this Six of Hearts is now one of a kind in the entire world, just like our lovely Anchor here."
A sweet feeling blossomed in He Jing’s heart. She gazed at Xia Liang, her eyes full of fascination. Fortunately, her camera was pointed at him, otherwise her fans would have surely started wailing in protest.
Xia Liang placed the signed card on top of the deck. "First, we need to fold this card, just like this," he explained. He then picked it up and folded it twice into a small square before turning back to He Jing. "Miss, please open your mouth and gently bite down on this unique card you’ve selected."
As he brought the card to her lips, the charming He Jing readily obliged, parting her red lips to bite down on it.
By now, a crowd of nearly five hundred spectators had gathered, yet it was exceptionally quiet. Everyone held their breath, their eyes fixed on Xia Liang’s every move, afraid to miss a single detail. Even the livestream chat had fallen silent.
Xia Liang expertly riffled the cards in his hands, his movements dazzlingly skillful. He drew one for himself. "Now it’s my turn to pick one. Since you chose the Six of Hearts, I’ll choose the Nine of Hearts. We’ve got to make a matching set, right?"
The crowd erupted in laughter again, though a few people looked completely bewildered, not understanding the joke. The Online Friends in the livestream came alive once more, and a flood of "LMAO!" comments scrolled across the screen.
"He’s an old pro too! I did not see that joke coming."
"Let me off, this isn’t the bus to the magic show!"
Biting the card, He Jing smiled shyly, which only made her appear more alluring and charming. She watched with a captivated gaze as Xia Liang signed his name on a card of his own, drawing a lip print in the center just as she had. The only difference was that he used a black pen while hers was red, making the two cards easy to distinguish.
He folded his card into a small square as well, placed it in his mouth, and spoke. "Miss, something magical is about to happen. Now, please give me your hands. In a moment, I need you to follow my lead. Just pull the card into your mouth slightly and then push it back out, alright?"
Unable to speak with the card in her mouth, He Jing simply nodded and cooperatively raised her hands. However, she was still holding her phone for the livestream.
"Excuse me," Xia Liang said. "To give the Anchor’s fans a clearer view, could someone help with filming?"
There was no shortage of eager volunteers. Xia Liang casually picked someone from the crowd, handed them the phone, and then raised his own hands, placing them gently over He Jing’s upturned palms.
