I Can Assimilate Everything-Chapter 205: Destiny! II
First, Achilles affirmed one thing without question- the Ancient Ones would not be friends or allies. They actively desired either conquest or chains.
The most powerful among them sought to rule and enslave for the sake of one thing- Planar Destiny.
Something unseen. Untraceable. Yet supposedly the very force that once made the Ancient Races so incomparably powerful, allowing them to ascend and evolve seamlessly through time.
Was this… what his father had felt when he first arrived here? The one mystery he couldn't understand? Or was it something entirely different?
Achilles couldn't say. But he now had more knowledge of the hidden forces of this Plane, and with knowledge, he could navigate better while preparing.
So.
He ignored the phoenix's weakening cries.
He continued devouring its existence, even as it still clung to life- its massive body trembling, its essence unbearably dense. Within him, the expansion of his [Land] as a Dharma King reached an unfathomable level.
He felt like it was getting full.
Like the [Land], the very foundation of his internal Physiology, had grown powerful enough that in the next instant...
BOOM!
A shockwave burst out from his body.
The [Land] within him had reached its threshold. The density and size exceeded its limits, and so, power surged as he began to expand his [Sea] of existence.
His Sea.
Because he already held seas of Assimilation within his body, those vast inner oceans now buzzed- churning and swelling outward.
The assimilated existence of a Luminblood Stage Astral Core Ascension Phoenix was so great, so immense, that it propelled him across a threshold at blistering speed.
And still, he continued.
Above, the horrific image of a phoenix remained- its ancient, glistening golden bones barely covered in sinew and organs. Crimson-green blood saturated with astral light flowed freely from its form… into Achilles.
Astral light.
The starlight consumed by Astral Core Ascension entities- starting with their blood.
And because Achilles devoured even this…
He felt his body pop like a string of fireworks. His expression shifted instantly.
Because...
The starlight from the Phoenix's Luminblood Stage… began to settle. To fuse into his blood.
…!
BOOM!
The moment it did, his body released another shockwave- this time saturated in a primal, almost celestial aura. A pressure of impossible density bloomed from him.
He was still far from forming his Astral Core, and yet… his blood had begun to take in the starlight!
This…
This—!
It was unheard of.
A phenomenon that should not have been possible.
And yet… his ability to assimilate everything, as the Ninth Adrastia Emperor King, was also something that shouldn't exist.
And yet, here he stood.
With a body glowing brighter, fuller- his blood swirling with stellar brilliance and astral might.
—
The True Magitech Throne was speechless.
Around her, obsidian crystal lotuses shimmered and hovered, swirling with starlight- anchored not by will, but by instinct. Her mind couldn't dismiss them, her body unwilling to release them due to the terrifying force she was witnessing.
A fifty-meter-tall form of the being she knew as King Primal was tearing apart a Luminblood Stage Astral Core Ascension Phoenix as if it were nothing.
The moment a golden halo wrapped around the phoenix's neck, its fate had already been sealed.
After that… they simply bore witness to horror.
Flames, flesh, muscle, and bone- all pulled into King Primal's form. Devoured. Claimed.
It continued even as the Phoenix screamed. Long, echoing cries… continuing until only skeletal remains- shining golden bones- remained.
And even those… over a mile long… were not spared.
In the end, even they vanished.
The entire existence of a Luminblood Stage Phoenix- erased as if it had never been.
And King Primal reclaimed his purple gold halo after that and placed it back above his head as if it were a crown!
The True Magitech Throne trembled.
Yes, she had helped.
But her contribution? A mere distraction. She had only drawn attention, keeping the phoenix occupied while King Primal acted.
In hindsight, King Primal may have succeeded even if she hadn't come.
But she had come- and because of it, she had witnessed the full extent of his power.
This man… this being… had stood against a powerhouse of the Nine Supreme Forces and had not faltered.
Because of this, the thoughts in her mind crystallized into certainty.
This man… well, was he even a man? A human?
Her eyes wavered only briefly as she considered his celestial form. He felt like something… more.
But this being might just be the answer their fractured Colony Dynasties needed.
The proof danced before her eyes even now. King Primal floated, suspended in radiant skies. Silent. Still.
His gaze turned, watching the conjured white phoenix that still lingered, still burning with its unreal existence.
With a wave of his hand, he signaled it to go. And the radiant white phoenix obeyed, scattering into fading light.
Then, his gaze turned again.
It shifted toward the phoenix legion- the followers of the entity he had just devoured.
The moment his gaze met theirs, they trembled.
Fear. Pure and immediate.
Because they too wondered- was he about to do the same to them?
Their glowing eyes shifted, glancing toward Rose- pleading for protection, begging her to uphold whatever promise she'd made.
Rose met their gaze and let out a sharp harrumph. Her voice rang out.
"Do you fear the King behind me?"
WAA!
Her words carried chill and command. Authority forged in flame.
Even the True Magitech Throne was surprised. Only those born into royalty, those trained in it- could speak with such regal weight.
And yet, this partner of King Primal did it with ease. As though she were born to rule.
The phoenixes nodded in trembling affirmation.
Her voice didn't waver.
"Fear is good. It means you are wise. It means you value life. Use that fear… and drop your defenses. Let the authority of the one you fear enter you."
…!
Her words struck like daggers of cold clarity.
She commanded them- especially the Dharma Manifestation Phoenixes with their innate protections, to lower their barriers.
To allow the authority of the being they feared… to sink into their very souls.
It was a Queen paving the way for her King to obtain even more!
And the True Magitech Throne shook.
Because in the next moment, her eyes saw multicolored spores.
Spores gushed from King Primal like a storm- spreading across the legion, enveloping them in a sweeping wave of awe and submission.
And with that…
This terrifying, episodic battle… drew to a close.
But its ending wasn't clean.
Because one of the Prime Commands of the Acheron Phoenix Assembly- of the Everburn Aerie Continent...was now gone.
And that meant… even though the battle had ended, they had undeniably drawn the ire of one of the Nine Supreme Forces of the Primordial Age.
And from here… they would have to decide how to move forward!
