I Can Contract Beauties-Chapter 138: Spatial Meteorite
This rough black stone that looked like a pumice rock was actually called Spatial Meteorite.
Spatial Meteorite was a rare stone even in Miguel’s previous life.
This was the main material for crafting a storage ring, and one could only encounter this thing by luck.
This was because, unlike a normal meteorite that falls from space, the Spatial Meteorite actually travels and jumps randomly through space and would only stop when they hit something of a different nature, like a planet’s surface.
There were chances that they would get stuck below the earth’s surface as well, depending on where they landed after jumping through space randomly, so encountering and obtaining them can all be attributed to luck.
Locating them in space was even harder than finding a needle in a haystack.
Even Miguel tried tracing their movements before, but he found out later that he could not do so, no matter. They jump through space chaotically and seem to exist anywhere and everywhere at the same time. No matter how he studied them, he just could not find and predict the patterns of their movements, so he just gave up and continued to study and understand another matter.
What he learned from that endeavor, though, was that a Spatial Meteorite could appear anywhere at any time, randomly and without prior notice. One might even find one under their bed the moment they blink their eye, if they were lucky enough.
The Spatial Meteorite contains a lot of available space inside it.
Depending on its grade, a thumb-size Spatial Meteorite might even house the available space of a whole palace inside of it. Of course, this Spatial Meteorite cannot be used directly just yet. It still needs to be refined and crafted by an experienced blacksmith; otherwise, it would just be like an ordinary stone at the roadside.
Although Alderic knew that it was valuable due to his Innate Talent, Miguel knew that he surely did not know the true value of this thing.
The value of the Spatial Meteorite, which was more than the size of a fist, was even greater than the entire Blazing Expanse combined.
And in this Wild Beast World, where summons and martial arts were the norm, such a thing as a Storage Ring does not exist at all. So the value of this fist-size Spatial Meteorite in the Wild Beast World could only be higher.
Even before Alderic finished introducing all his collections, Miguel knew that he had already found the thing that he wanted the most among the group.
This thing was too precious to be left alone in such a barren place.
As a Grimoire user, Miguel doesn’t need any storage rings at this moment. However, in this world where only grimoire users can have the ability to store inanimate objects inside their grimoire, this thing was pretty precious.
If it could be commercialized, money would surely flock to him every day.
However, Miguel did not plan on doing all that.
Although he was not an evil person, he was not a saint either.
He had always prioritized himself and those close to him.
Storage space was a specialty for Grimoire users. It allowed them to have an edge during a battle, allowing them to retrieve weapons and items of various sizes to aid them. This results in the high prestige of the grimoire summoners, and if it disappeared because of him releasing the storage ring to the whole world, it would also affect him as a summoner in the long run.
And aside from that, Spatial Meteorite actually has other uses aside from being the main material for storage rings, and that was what Miguel was most interested in.
Miguel didn’t waste any more time, and he told Alderic that he wanted the stone.
Alderic hesitated for a moment, but after recalling his promise to Journey, he could only accept it reluctantly.
For him, every collection stored inside this room was precious and should not be easily underestimated. He could have stored them inside his grimoire, but he chose to save them here, maybe in a way to brag to others that he indeed has a nice collection.
And for ’Journey’ to fancy the rock just meant that its value was indeed greater than the rest. He was reluctant to part with it, and he even asked Journey boldly if he knew what kind of rock it was.
Miguel did not tell him anything though and simply answered, "It’s something you should not encounter for the time being. I don’t know the full details of this stone either. But, as you said, it’s special and should not be neglected. Why don’t you hand it to me to realize its potential?"
Hearing that, Alderic gritted his teeth. Of course, he did not believe ’Journey’s’ words about not being able to recognize this stone. After all, there were a lot of items available in this rook, but he chose the most crude-looking one without hesitation.
In the end, though, Alderic still agreed. He had no other choice as well. At the side, Edith was already looking at him with an unfavorable expression.
"You said to let him choose whatever he wants, right?" She said with an autAhoritative tone.
A boundless pressure suddenly descended as Alderic felt as if he were placed above a bottomless pit once again.
Feeling that pressure and the truthfulness of her words, he had no other choice, right?
After Alderic agreed, Miguel did not stand on ceremony and took the box directly.
Seeing him do that just made Alderic even more certain that Journey indeed knew of this rock’s origin and its uses.
After all, only he himself knew that the rough black rough could actually not be stored inside the Grimoire’s storage space. Journey taking the box by hand instead of storing it inside his grimoire directly meant that he was already aware of this property of the rough stone.
Alderic did not say anything, though. Bids of sweat were still rolling down his neck at this given moment.
On the other hand, Miguel suddenly recalled something and asked, "Right, do you still remember the kid that played with his rock back then? If possible, can you introduce me to him?"
