Chapter 529: Runic Engraving Purity

"Shall we start now? Did you prepare all the materials and equipment?" Nash asked after a brief greeting.

"Yes, we already prepared everything according to the blueprint you gave us. However, the potion that came out didn’t come out right." Jovetous, the leading scientist in charge of the potion, said.

"Oh? Can you tell me the result?"

"Let’s talk on the way." Nodding, Juventus listened as Nash talked about their results over the past month.

What they’d gotten from Nash was not only the formula of the soul relieving potion but also the industrial machine to mass produce it.

Studying the formula, Juventus, as a tier 5 Scientific Archsage, quickly created a sample of the potion.

With a bit of trial and error, he was able to create a sample of high-grade quality, just one step away from top-grade quality.

The formula Nash had given was thorough. Every step, every detail, every particle was written, creating the most detailed formula he’d ever seen in his life.

Confident in his understanding of the formula, he led a team to proceed to the next step: creating an industrial potion-making machine.

Sure enough, following the blueprint Nash had given, they were able to build it step by step without any errors.

However, in the final stage of purification, no matter how skilled he was, Juventus’ result was only of low quality.

No matter how many times he tried, he couldn’t even create a medium-grade potion!

Thinking there was something wrong with the industrial machine or his purification process, they began contacting Nash in a hurry.

Listening to the result and the problem they had encountered, Nash nodded.

However, without seeing the industrial machine or the process itself, he couldn’t come up with a solution.

Understanding this, they quickly headed to the potion-making facility.

"You’re quite efficient." Nash muttered in interest.

In just a month, over a dozen industrial machines were in place.

This was still because they were in a trial-and-error phase to create a decent-quality potion.

If they have mastered the process, they might already have built hundreds or even thousands of industrial machines.

"The Solaris domain is quite poor. We need to earn money as soon as possible." Juventus smiled wryly.

Because Azaela borrowed a large amount from the Chronos Bank, the credit of all powerhouses and scientists in the Solaris Domain turned to zero.

Unable to borrow money, they couldn’t continue their research.

Thus, instead of potioneering professionals, they, the scientists themselves, chose to step up.

Although they could only mass produce low-quality soul relieving potions for now, as long as the quantity was enough, they could quickly make money for their research.

Of course, as per Nash and Azaela’s additional agreement, they couldn’t sell the soul relieving potion while they were still in the Solaris Domain.

Even the materials used to make the potion were restricted from being bought in massive portions.

They could only buy and sell the materials needed to make the potion in places like Xenus Junction.

Even then, calculating the profit they could earn, everyone was in a state of excitement, ready to make a fortune after Nash and the Star Alliance left for the Cosmic Competition.

Meanwhile, walking to one of the industrial machines, Nash began using his runic eye to check for any errors.

"What do you think? Is there something wrong?" Juventus asked nervously.

Not answering, Nash continued to circle the industrial machine until he arrived at the container holding the unpurified potion mixture.

Checking everything, Nash concluded what the problem was.

"It’s the runic engravings. They’re not pure enough."

"Runic engravings? Not pure enough? What do you mean?"

Juventus could understand if the runic engravings were wrong or low quality, but not pure enough? Was there even such a term?

"The purity of runic engravings doesn’t usually interfere with anything. However, the potion formula I gave you has a delicate balance, causing even these inconspicuous particles to influence the quality of the potion." Nash explained.

With these inconspicuous particles, even if Juventus followed his instructions to the tee, he could only produce a low-quality potion.

"Wait a moment. What do you mean by purity? How come I haven’t heard of such a term?" Juventus asked first. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

As a tier 5 scientist, he didn’t even know runes had levels of purity.

"Hmm? You don’t know?" Nash frowned.

Mobilizing his massive computing power, Nash began browsing and searching for the term "runic purity" in the [Library Module System].

"I haven’t come to encounter this term before." Juventus shook his head, waiting for Nash’s explanation.

Spending a few minutes, Nash scoured the books he copied in the Covenant Library.

However, as Jovetous said, there was no book or article on the purity of the runic language.

Thinking about how he had come to learn it, Nash realized it was information he had gained during his soul-enlightenment state.

Although he could identify it with his runic eye, he didn’t know what it was used for until after his soul enlightenment.

He thought it was common sense he had learned from digesting large amounts of books. Who knew it was the realization of his ability?

"Can you tell me what runic engraving purity is, Lord Nash?" Jovetous asked again, looking more interested than before.

If he could study what this runic engraving purity was about, perhaps he could use it to advance to a tier 6 scientist!

Hearing the question, Nash snapped out of his daze.

"Runic engraving purity is the use of specific elements, laws, or energy to each stroke of the engraving process."

"Huh? Isn’t this already given?"

"The purity here comes with the control. If you are using fire element, it shouldn’t be influenced by another. A little influence by any kind of energy means impurity." Nash explained.

While Nash used industrial robots to engrave runic language on most parts of the industrial machine, the core parts were still done by hand.

Probably because of their rush, the industrial machine before him was full of impurities.

"No, how could you completely cut off the influence of other energy? Unless one had only condensed a single element, it’s impossible." Jovetous quickly concluded, understanding Nash’s meaning.

"You don’t need that much purity. Simply minimize the influence of other energy to each runic engraving and you can already achieve 70% of the work."
