Chapter 542: The Living Encyclopedia

Following Aldric, they arrive at the core of the Nexus Administrative Planet.

Looking at the futuristic equipment and research facilities, Nash was a little envious.

If he had such advanced equipment, he wondered how much his research could advance.

Although he could enter a state of enlightenment as he wants, it would only help him so much.

Without the base knowledge and information about the matter, no matter how many times he could be enlightened, it was useless.

Especially for those various bloodlines and specimens he bought before.

Although he hadn’t started deep research, he still made time to skim through them.

The result, however, was disappointing. Besides their runic structure, there were many unknowns he had to fill.

If he had more advanced equipment, this task might be done with half the effort.

Unfortunately, even tier 6 scientific equipment was hard to buy, much less these luxurious setups before him.

"Do you want this equipment?" Aldric asked, seeing Nash’s expression.

"Yes, could I buy them from you? Even those biological equipment would be enough."

"You really are ambitious! Unfortunately, I can’t sell them to you. However, if you become my disciple, I can let you borrow them, how about it?"

"No," Nash refused without hesitation.

He even had the mind to hire Aldric for his conquest to the Wild Void Territory. How could he be reduced to a mere disciple?

Unfortunately, Tier 8 War God Powerhouse was the limit of the Wild Void Territory.

Once a Planetary Powerhouse dared to interfere in the game, it would attract unprecedented danger that they couldn’t handle.

"Tsk, really straightforward." Aldric clicked his tongue.

However, having already expected Nash’s answer, he wasn’t angry.

"Can I ask why Lord Aldric called me here? Is it about my test?" Nash went back to the topic.

"Yes, your answer is really intriguing. It seems to contain the essence of many research topics." Aldric said in admiration.

Earlier, knowing one of the renowned cosmic elites was taking the scientific assessment, Aldric was a little curious and decided to observe.

Who knew he would encounter such a commotion? Reading through his answer, even he felt a little shocked.

Although he was well-read, some of Nash’s ideas still inspired him.

"I just read countless books. Combining their essence, I was able to conceive such an answer."

"Your genetic ability?" Aldric muttered, thinking of the file he had read about Nash.

The ability to create virtually any auxiliary ability.

He didn’t expect it could even be used for such a purpose.

"Can I ask you something?"

"What is it?"

Preparing some questions, Aldric began to test Nash’s depth of knowledge.

Hearing them, Nash answered without hesitation.

With the backing of countless books in his mind, unless it was classified information, nothing could stump him. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

As a few hours passed, Aldric’s testing turned into curiosity, asking questions he wasn’t even sure of.

Hearing Nash’s profound answers one after another, Aldric went from admiration to shock, then to fanaticism.

As if a living encyclopedia, no matter what question he threw, he could get an answer back!

"Uh—I still have another test so..." Nash said, wanting to leave.

Although he respected Aldric, Nash still had other important things to do.

Instead of wasting his computational power answering a bunch of questions that didn’t benefit him, Nash would rather optimize his module system.

"Oh, right, I forgot. You are here for the assessment." Aldric snapped out of his trance, remembering why Nash was here.

"How about this, I’ll give you the tier 3 and 4 scientific tests in advance."

Having answered all of his questions, Aldric didn’t think Nash could fail such tests.

However, as a formality of the Covenant of Truth, Nash still needed to follow the procedures.

"I see, that would be great." Nash nodded with satisfaction.

According to the schedule, each test would be conducted three days after the previous test.

Being able to take them in advance would save Nash some time.

"Then come, follow me. You can take the test in my lab."

Guiding Nash toward one of the virtual devices, Aldric used his authority to give Nash the written assessment in advance.

"Thank you..."

Sitting down, Nash began to answer the questions one after another.

Different from the tier 2 exam, the tier 3 exam was a little harder.

Although it still had the same number of questions, the difficulty was on a whole other level.

Fortunately, the books in the Library Module System were quite comprehensive.

From tier 0 to tier 8, Nash had almost everything in his mind.

Of course, everything was just basic scientific foundational knowledge.

For more specific content, Nash hadn’t had the time to upload it yet.

As he digested the related topics and typed his answers on the virtual device, time began to pass.

---

A few hours later, Nash felt a little exhausted.

"It was a little harder than I thought. Did Lord Aldric change the questions?" Nash muttered, looking at the supposed Tier 6 Scientific Philosopher before him.

The whole time he was doing his exam, Aldric was behind him, reading his answers as if he were performing a show.

"No, how could I change the questions?" Aldric hurriedly shook his head.

Although he was a Tier 6 Scientific Philosopher and held significant authority within the Covenant of Truth, he couldn’t just specify the questions.

To prevent cheating, each of these questions was randomized from the database.

The grading would even be checked by multiple scientists and Axis, the virtual assistant of the Covenant of Truth.

"The reason your questions were hard should be because of your previous result," Aldric concluded.

"My previous result?"

"Yes. While it’s the same tier 3 scientific assessment, based on your comprehensive score, the difficulty would be higher."

"I see." Nash’s eyes lit up.

Although it was a long time ago, he still remembered the various benefits he had with S-level treatment.

If it could increase to SS or even SSS level treatment, then even if he had to do a thousand more questions, Nash wouldn’t mind.

"Are you ready for your next test?"

"Let me rest a little." Nash shook his head.

The previous questions were still lingering in his mind.

Digesting trillions of books in these few hours still left him drained.

"Then you can rest first..."
