I CHOSE to be a VILLAIN, not a THIRD-RATE EXTRA!!-Chapter 54: The Hunt - Obliteration
Cassius stood amidst the carnage, his sword still gleaming with the blood of his foes as he stood upon the flag of the ship.
The fountains of blood that spurted high into the sky were visible even from the Duke’s ship, a macabre sight that caught the eye of all who saw it.
The blood arced through the air, glistening in the sunlight before falling back into the sea.
It looked like roses blooming in the sea—crimson petals unfurling in the air, cascading down to meet the water in a delicate yet disturbing dance. Each fountain of blood, rising and falling, painted the surface of the sea.
"An Elemental Swordsman..." the Head Butler murmured, his voice laced with recognition. The Knight Commander’s expression shifted, his eyes widening in disbelief.
It dawned on him then—a true genius, staying right among them, and yet he had been oblivious to it all.
The Duke, however, merely clicked his tongue in frustration, a subtle sign of his irritation.
THUMP!
THUMP!
Their gaze shifted toward the sound coming from the deck. The man was stomping his feet with increasing frustration, his anger reverberating in the wood beneath him.
"AAAH! IT WAS MY TIME TO SHINE! TO HAVE FUN! I WILL GET MORE KILLS THAN YOU" the man bellowed, his voice cracking with frustration.
With a final, forceful stomp on the deck, he shot upward, soaring high into the sky.
The man summoned a spear, his aura erupting from his body and flowing into the weapon at an explosive rate.
The brown-colored aura at the tip of the spear compressed with wild force, rapidly growing in size and intensity.
Taking a throwing stance, he bent slightly, positioning the spear downward.
His arm stretched back, pulling the weapon to its maximum extension, every muscle in his body coiling with the energy still flowing into the spear. The air around him vibrated with the raw power he was harnessing.
Meteor Spear
"HEHE! TRY SURVIVING, RATS!" the man taunted, his voice dripping with malice as he hurled the spear towards Birdie, the one leading most of the pirate ships.
The weapon shot through the air, a deadly streak of brown energy aimed directly at the place where the majority of the pirate ships had gathered.
The pirates heard the shout, their gazes snapping toward the falling line of energy.
The spear plummeted from the sky like a meteor, its brown aura swirling around it, exuding raw, destructive power.
As it drew nearer, Birdie’s eyes widened in horror, his face draining of color.
In that single, frozen moment, one thought raced through his mind ’Our Capt’n doomed us. This is not something we lot could resist.’
As soon as the spear struck the ship—
BOOOOOOM!
An explosion of unimaginable force erupted from the point of impact. The sea surged upward in a towering mushroom-shaped column, water crashing violently into the sky.
The sound of the blast echoed across the battlefield, a shockwave of power rippling outward.
The seawater rose high, a towering wave of destruction, but before the waters could gather their full intensity—

A blinding streak of light sliced through the waves, cleaving them in half with a crackling roar.
The force of the strike sent the water crashing apart in two, the massive column of seawater dissipating in an instant.
Cassius landed gracefully on the Duke’s ship, his feet barely making a sound as they touched the deck. His face remained unchanged, his expression a mixture of sorrow and resolve.
His gaze, unwavering and focused, never left the biggest ship in the distance—the one the Pirate King had used to assault him and the Duchess.
The Knight Commander stood in stunned silence, his gaze fixed on the wreckage left in the wake of the man’s single, devastating strike.
After Cassius had cut the waves in half, the water still loomed high, but it was now a mere afterthought.
The remnants of the once-mighty fleet were barely visible—only a few scattered wooden planks bobbing aimlessly on the surface.
No sign of the pirates remained, and no ships in sight. It was as though they had never existed, swallowed up by the sheer destructive power of the blow.
’That madman used that kind of obliterating attack against those weaklings’ thought the Knight Commander, his eyes shifting to the man who fell from the sky, landing gracefully beside Cassius.
The man looked at Cassius expectantly, as if waiting for a reaction, but Cassius remained still, his eyes fixed on the distant, looming ship.
"Oi! Oi! Tell me, how was my attack? Aren’t I better than you? Oi! Oi!" The man’s voice rang out, growing more impatient as he began to circle around Cassius, his steps quick and erratic.

He tried to provoke a response, but Cassius remained unmoved, his gaze never wavering from the ship in the distance.
The Knight Commander turned, his gaze narrowing as he looked at the last five remaining pirate ships.
Fifteen of the vessels behind them had been taken care of by Cassius, while thirty more had been completely obliterated by the madman’s destructive spear.
Of the original fifty ships, only five remained, and even they were now desperately turning away, attempting to flee from the Duke’s ship, their sails billowing as they tried to escape the chaos.
’I should deal with these five ships,’ thought the Knight Commander, preparing to leap across to the remaining pirate vessels. But just as he was about to move, he felt a firm hand settle on his shoulder.
He turned his gaze, meeting the calm, steady eyes of the Head Butler. Without saying a word, the Head Butler simply gestured toward the Duke, his silent command clear.
The Duke reached into his Spatial Storage and withdrew a scroll, tearing it with deliberate precision. As the paper split, a single, swirling ball of fire materialized above his head, crackling with intense energy. But that was only the beginning.
In the next instant, every accessory that adorned his body—each piece colored in varying shades of red—began to glow.
From the rings on his fingers to the bracelet on his arm, even the few hidden beneath his clothes, each item shone with an ominous, fiery radiance.
