I created my own system-Chapter 357: A rat to kill

"They’re being... spawned," Apollo breathed. "And if the strange phenomenon of hordes is happening throughout the empire...it means" Apollo loook disgusted ust imagining dozens of those creatures moving together.

He flew forward, closer. He needed to see more. He need more data in order to calculate his next attack.

Jeremiah spoke again, voice urgent now.

[Creator, look at its core. Enhancing your vision.]

Apollo squinted as golden runes lit up in his retinas.

And then he saw it.

Buried in the monster’s chest, embedded like a heart, was a Fragment.

A shard of the soul of the five pillar’s greatest teacher. A piece of what had once broken and somehow contains a power that could bend reality. And now... it was corrupting mana, twisting it into endless horrors.

"No wonder they’re endless. This isn’t just a beast," he whispered. "Its a mutation forced by the power of the fragmet. That beast is using that power to mass-produce magical life."

"But what I wanted to know it what kind of beast is this originally? Before it was mutated by the fragment it should be something else. But then even with the mutation is should still have an ability to spawn things before being enhance by the fragment"

[Creator, what if its not really spawning but rather an ability to multiply by some beast?]

"I see are you referring to magical beasts that have a high propogate rate?"

[Yes Creator]

"Thats probably it, search in the archive about any beasts that have high reproduction rate"

[Affirmative Creator]

"Now lets scan this thing"

Apollo and Jeremiah needed data so they can plan their next move, so to do that Apollo began chanting. It was a spell he just synthesis between the spell from the Ocean tower and Mahika.

A silent spel began crouching onto the ground and towards the target. Apollo was very careful even use his stat points as boost to make sure that the spell will go unnoticed. And for now he didn’t dare use any authorities since he rembered how the unknown Creature ignore its effects. If he were to use it recklessly and found out late that this beast is similar to the previous one, then it might do something that might increase the current horde that the continent is facing.

The spell was release and slowly scan the unknown enemy.

"Hmmm?" 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

For a moment Apollo look confused as he forwarded to Jeremiah the results.

"Seriously, its a rat?"

Its a DNA similar to a certain species of rat but thats not all, it was a mess up careture that makes it harder fofr Apollo to completelu indentify it. So with no toher options he decided to scan it again, trying to see if he could get anything.

"If the rat part is hte dominant part of this beast that perhaps i could use it to kill it easily" ith that thought he scan it more throughly.

So for the next few moments he remained completely suspended in the air.

Everything was very silent for a while but then he unknown beast began moving. Its grotesque muscles began to move attracting Apollo’s attention. The beast let out a muffled thrum deep breathing, almost resonant, like a distorted heartbeat echoing through the.

Apollo looked at itwith disgust part of it is that he doesn’t know where the nose is despite having the sound of breathing.

Its massive, malformed limbs twitched unnaturally, pushing blood slicked dirt aside as more of the light emerged from its grotesque mouth.

Jeremiah’s voice sounded again, his voice clear as if been enlighten.

> [Creator. I have found a likely match. The base species of this creature may have been the Blood Rat Broodmot a type of beast known for high propagation through parthenogenesis. Normally, they produce offspring once every month..but... this one however is releasing them every few seconds.]

"Then the Fragment is amplifying that ability... forcing it into an uncontrollable overdrive," Apollo muttered.

He hovered just out of reach, cloaked in space magic. The super overdrive Broodmother didn’t seem aware of him, not yet to be exact, its mind too warped, its instincts overridden by its directive: spawn, consume, repeat.

"So then how should I deal with you seeing all these stats, I think this will be hard"

[Its immune to all elements, physical attack is you best approach Creator]

"I know, but I dont think it will work either, looking at that moving flesh even the strongest swordmaster will have a hard time. That lump of flesh became its armor making it hard to kill it. And worst it has a regentive skill similar to Nirvana"

[Considering all of that, then it means it could also negate authorities]

"Yes but not as good as Nirvana’s, it can still be after before being absorbed by the fragment"

[So it was the fragment that gave the power to ignore even the power of Gods]

"Yes, just what kind of a being did teach the five pillars. How can a single fragment of his soul cause such destruction?"

Shaking his head he decided to set it aside until he fix the current problem in front of him.

"This disgusting problem, have you found how many of this is crawling into the empire?"

[Yes around 50 Creator, they are scattered but more importantly, i think we should investigate how all of them suddenly pop out of nowhere]

"Ah, so you are thinking its not normal that something like this happen?"

[One or two can be tolerated but fifty? I think we have a new enemy that somehow have the same insanity as Dominos]

*Sigh*

"That guy is already death yet still causing trouble seriously"

[What do you plan to do? How should we proceed? Do you wish to retreat first?]

"Nah, we are here but do send a message to Alicia show her some of pictures as well"

[I will do as you ordered]

"Then since I dont know what to do with you, I’ll just do what Alicia said before"

"I’ll beat you up and until you die"

Apollo’s shadow suddenly multiply accompany by this are thousands of mithril spears aim at the humongous flesh. Then with a single command those spears began spinning in great force.

With another motion of his finger those spears fall down like rain, a blak and deadly rain that created a storm of blood.

Apollo watch as the beasts continue to regenerate at such fast rate. Nevertheless the speed of its regeneration is slowly being take over by the speed of damage it is taking.

"Roar!"

All sorts of roars came to Apollo’s ears but no matter how hard those beasts roar they could not find the being that attacks their mother. Protected by the power of space Apollo remained hidded, his attacks however are induced with nano machines that will flow through the creature’s blood flow. This was the same method he once use against Nirvana.

"Well unlike Dominos it doesn’t have any barrier that prevents attacks like this, I can attack freely now"

Unlike Dominos who had a iron clad fortress defense this beast doesn’t so Apollo can shut down its body just by putting it with lots of nano machines. It could not attack either because Apollo doesn’t give it a chance and no matter how powerful the magical beasts that guards it, if there attack doesn’t reach then its useless.

And so without mercy he continued to send more spears, while the other Apollos where already scattered on the location of other broodmother.

"Hmm?....it seems we have company now"

Flying from the direction of the fortress,a horde of magical beasts began to fly towards their mother, problem is some of those beast have space property.

"Sigh, knowing they came from that thing they might have some immunity with authorities. But still it won’t be completely useless"

He flicked his finger and the gravity fell right into the incoming flying beasts. With another motion hundreds of mithril spears came and stab the targets right into thier heart and head. Soon the incoming enemies reduce to pile of shredded flesh. Like magical conductor he wave his hand and each wave of it releases thousands of spears.

[Creator, that creature ’s guards seems to found you

"Already?"

Well i should leave then Apollo left his current position and teleported away but even when he is away his spears didn’t stop from falling.

"Tsk, its health points is sill the same even being stab thousands of times, its disgusting flesh is also protecting the fragment"

Apollo then increased the fold of spears including its centrifugal force.

Everything was going into Apollo’s as long as he could hacked into his enemies then he coud get the fragment then his job his done, however all of a sudden he found himself laying on the ground, and seemingly buried into a 10 meter deep crater.

"What?"

He didn’t sense it

He didn’t even manage to block it, all he felt was being hit with something that he didn’t see.
