I Created Scientific Magic-Chapter 192 - 179: The Bickering Parliament and the Intelligence of the Doomsday Cult (Please Subscribe)
The discord and debate within the Sky Realm had become increasingly fierce, even reaching the point where sleeves were rolled up for a fight, when August, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke up to interrupt.
"Everyone, please quiet down! We should focus on how to deal with the current crisis, not blame each other and argue over who is superior..."
August’s tone was slow and bland, yet it seemed to carry a kind of deterrent power that was very conspicuous amid the noise, and the previously chaotic meeting room abruptly fell silent. All eyes turned to the acting chairman.
However, some did not take kindly to his intervention and mocked him with irritation, "It seems that our esteemed acting chairman has already thought of a perfect strategy…"
August did not respond but turned to Luo’er next to him and said, "You go ahead."
Luo’er nodded, with a grave expression, he handed down a stack of parchment papers.
"This is the latest intelligence gathered by the security team, regarding the doomsday cult; everyone might want to take a look."
The council members took the parchment scrolls and quickly browsed through them, Lynn also took a copy.
In addition to listing some doomsday cultists’ names and their backgrounds, there were many somewhat peculiar magic theories on the pages.
What caught Lynn’s attention most was the exposition on the elements within; it seemed the wizards of the doomsday cult had some understanding of the microscopic realm, but their research approach was skewed. These individuals believed that all elements might be a whole, that they possessed consciousness, and they named this consciousness the ’spirit of the elements.’
According to them, the wizards’ greedy extraction and uncontrolled use of elements would lead to the originally orderly elements stepping towards chaos, a process that was irreversible. This was also the reason why doomsday would arrive.
The ultimate goal of the doomsday cult was to have all wizards abandon the idea of controlling and enslaving the elements, to seek forgiveness from the spirit of the elements, and to restore elements back to order...
"Absurd!" Rafael shook his head, after only reading the first part, he couldn’t help but retort.
Elements were almost a mandatory subject for every wizard. Asking them to abandon the fruits of elemental research accumulated by countless predecessors over hundreds of years and to pray to a so-called spirit of the elements was pure folly!

"Don’t you find these magic theories a bit familiar?" August suddenly asked. Experience tales at novelbuddy
The faces of those present changed at once. In fact, as soon as the doomsday cult first proposed the concept of the spirit of the elements, some realized it was likely derived from the elemental theory of the legendary wizard Altoc.
Now the information collected by Luo’er was undoubtedly corroborating this point.
"You’re not suspecting that Lord Altoc is involved in this, are you?" Rafael said in disbelief.
The other wizards also looked towards August with faces full of shock; although they had suspicions, no one dared to point the finger at a legendary wizard!
"That’s impossible!" An expert in elemental studies suddenly stood up, vehemently objecting.
August nodded and said, "Of course, I personally believe that this matter has no connection to Lord Altoc whatsoever!"
Despite saying so, the doubts in the minds of the council members present were not dispelled, for the only beings capable of attacking and severely wounding a legendary wizard were those of the same caliber...
Moreover, according to rumors, the ’Elemental Controller’ Altoc had gone mad while exploring the microscopic realm, and no one knew what he might do.
Lynn, not being very familiar with this legendary elemental wizard, just listened silently, sorting through the information, without intending to draw any conclusions.
"Also, the security team has received intelligence that three days from now, at night, these doomsday cult wizards will hold a large gathering. This may be the best opportunity to capture the organization’s leaders!" August stated gravely. "However, the security team is severely understaffed. To ensure the success of this operation, we might need everyone’s support!"
Rafael and others clearly understood the importance of the operation. If they could capture the doomsday cult’s leaders, all problems and troubles could be swiftly resolved.
"But shouldn’t we wait for Chairman Harrov and the others to return before considering taking action against these people?" a witch asked hesitantly, since the matter was likely connected to the ’Elemental Controller’ Altoc, it might not be something they could resolve.
"Lord Harrov has been to the magic stone mine for several days and has yet to send any messages back; he’s likely encountered some trouble," August shook his head, then continued with a serious expression.
"I suspect the recent spatial disturbances in the magic stone mine were not natural occurrences, but possibly someone wanting to draw away our chairpersons... With this, those doomsday cult wizards probably won’t give us much time."
Lynn nodded. August’s speculation matched his own; it was not likely a coincidence that as soon as Harrov and the others left, chaos erupted in Greenrill City.
With the insistence of this Star of Magic, the operation to capture the doomsday cult leaders swiftly passed through the agenda and gained the approval of most.
After all, continuing to delay the matter could lead to even greater chaos. Currently, though the council lacked legendary wizards to rally behind, it was not short of great wizards within its ranks.
Although some leaders of the magical schools had returned to their domains after the symposium, seven great wizards remained behind, which was sufficient to face most situations, even to join forces against legendary wizards if necessary.
The discussion of the operation details continued until ten o’clock at night before concluding, with the council members leaving the meeting hall with worried expressions.
Luo’er tidied up the papers distributed earlier and let out a slow breath of relief. As one of August’s assistants, he had been incredibly busy these past few days, sometimes even skipping meals.
Fortunately, such days would end in a few more days. Once those deranged doomsday cultists were dealt with, he could enjoy a few days of leisure, and his teacher August could firmly secure the position of acting chairman.
Perhaps they would even be awarded a Morning Star Medal for their merits...
Luo’er fantasized about this as he gathered the papers and prepared to leave. However, halfway out, Lynn stopped him.
"Please wait a moment, Mr. Luo’er, I have something important I’d like to discuss with you privately."
