I FOUND A DOOR TO TENSURA AND BECAME BROKEN IN THE REAL WORLD TOO-Chapter 22: Forging Power
Chapter 22: Forging Power
"I don't know; it's kind of hard to use..."
Yuuya muttered to himself as he stared at the massive sword and heavy armor left behind by the Orc King. The [Pig King's Sword], while a powerful weapon, felt a bit impractical. It was ridiculously heavy, designed to crush opponents with its sheer weight rather than cut them. Similarly, the [Pig King's Armor] was incredibly bulky and near indestructible—but completely useless to him, since it was made for the massive frame of an Orc King.
"Ugh... this is kind of pointless for me."
Still, out of curiosity, Yuuya bent down and gripped the sword with one hand. Without breaking a sweat, he effortlessly lifted it off the ground.
"Eehh...?"
He blinked in disbelief, switching to his other hand and casually lifting the armor as well.
"Wait... since when did I have monster-like strength!?"
He glanced at the gear in both hands—each supposed to be far too heavy for a human to lift—now held aloft like they were mere twigs.
"These are supposed to be so heavy that even regular monsters can't wield them... and I'm carrying them like groceries?"
For a brief moment, he wondered if the description of the equipment was just wrong, but he quickly dismissed the thought. The truth was clear—he had simply grown far stronger than he realized.
"...No, this is probably just how things are in this world."
Letting out a resigned sigh, he tossed the equipment into his [Item Box] for safekeeping. "I can always melt it down into something more useful later."
Turning his attention back to the remaining drop items, he inspected them carefully.
[Magic Stone: Rank S]
A rare and valuable ore obtained from magical beasts.
S-ranked stones were considered treasures, often used by top-tier mages or sold for exorbitant prices.
✔️ [Brush of the Pig King's Hair]
A bizarre but valuable drop.
When used, it nourished hair, made it shine, and could even revive dead hair follicles—curing baldness.
So rare that it was said to appear only once every few thousand years, making it highly coveted by aristocrats with hair-loss issues.
Yuuya stared at the brush in his hand.
"You've got to be kidding me... I just fought an S-class monster, and this is one of the rewards?!"
He ran his fingers through his own thick, healthy hair and let out a chuckle. "I definitely don't need it. But I bet this would sell for a fortune..."
Though it seemed mundane compared to the weapons and armor he was collecting, he knew the brush would be worth a considerable sum. He stashed both the [Magic Stone] and the [Brush] into his [Item Box], deciding to deal with them later.
With the loot secured, he figured he might as well check his status. After all, he had just taken down an S-class monster. Surely, his level had increased.
Opening his status screen, he blinked in surprise.
[Yuuya's Status]
Level: Same as before.
Experience gained: None.
"Huh...? My level didn't go up?"
He frowned, checking again to be sure. But no, there were no notifications, no increase in his stats.
"Weird... I thought I'd gain experience for beating such a superior opponent."
But as he considered the battle, it dawned on him—he hadn't actually fought the Orc King.
"Wait... does it not count because I just threw the spear?"
The realization hit him. His [Absolute Spear] had done all the work, annihilating the Orc King instantly. It wasn't really a battle—it was just a one-sided execution.
"So... no experience points for basically cheesing the fight, huh?" he muttered, letting out an exasperated sigh.
He shook his head. It didn't matter. Even if he hadn't leveled up this time, he could still work hard to grow stronger. He just needed to make a proper plan.
After a hearty breakfast, Yuuya made his way to school. The transition from monster-slaying to regular high school life still felt jarring, but he was getting used to it. As he strolled through the school gates, he heard familiar voices call out to him.
"Oh! Yuuya, good morning!"
"G-Good morning."
Ryo and the others greeted him cheerfully. Kaede waved from across the courtyard, flashing him a bright smile.
"Morning~! Yuuya-kun!" she called out.
"Yeah, good morning, everyone," he replied with a warm smile.
The day passed by in a blur. Yuuya attended his classes, going through the motions. But his mind was elsewhere—thinking about his future plans.
"I'm strong now... but not strong enough."
The Cardinal World was vast and brimming with danger. Stronger monsters, cunning foes, and uncharted territories awaited him. If he truly wanted to conquer that world, he needed more power. His current strength wouldn't be enough. He needed more skills, more combat techniques, and more knowledge.
Throughout the day, he ran through strategies in his head. He'd train harder, level up, and hone his abilities. However, he realized that he was still lacking in one major area—hand-to-hand combat.
Sure, he had incredible weapons and gear, but he was overly reliant on them. If he ever found himself disarmed or facing an enemy immune to his weapons, he'd be vulnerable.
"I can't always rely on my weapons... I need to master martial arts too."
By the time the final school bell rang, Yuuya had made his decision. As soon as he left school, he headed into town.
Yuuya wandered into an electronics store, browsing through the aisles until he found what he was looking for—a DVD player and a large flat-screen TV.

"Alright... now for the important part."
Next, he made his way to the media section and picked out a stack of martial arts training DVDs. There were videos on various fighting styles:
Karate for swift, powerful strikes.
Jujutsu for grappling and submission techniques.
Muay Thai for devastating close-range attacks.
Krav Maga, a brutal and efficient combat style designed for real-life encounters.
Boxing to master footwork, agility, and precision punches.
Yuuya bought them all. He didn't intend to just learn a single style—he wanted to incorporate the strengths of multiple disciplines.
"If I want to conquer that world... I'll need to be ready for anything."
On the way home, he also stopped by a sporting goods store, purchasing training gear—punching mitts, focus pads, and a heavy bag.
Once he arrived home, Yuuya immediately got to work. He set up the TV and DVD player in his training room. After changing into a pair of lightweight, flexible athletic clothes, he popped in one of the martial arts DVDs and started to follow along with the demonstrations.
At first, the movements were a bit awkward. Despite his immense strength, he lacked the technical precision and form of a seasoned martial artist. But he was a quick learner. His agility and coordination rapidly improved with each repetition.
By the end of the first session, he was already combining swift punches with smooth footwork, moving fluidly from one stance to another.
Sweat dripped down his face as he finished a final round of striking practice, his fists moving like blurs as they battered the heavy bag. With every punch, he felt himself growing faster, sharper, and deadlier.
"Not bad... but I've still got a long way to go."
Wiping the sweat from his brow, he turned off the TV and stretched.
"From now on... this is part of my daily routine. School. Exploration. Martial arts. Repeat."
His eyes hardened with determination.
"No more holding back. If I'm going to conquer the Cardinal World... I need to be unstoppable."
The path ahead was clear. And Yuuya was ready to walk it—one strike, one step, one battle at a time.
