Chapter 80: Castle!

The full moon loomed over the dark forest, and within it lay the sleeping figures of six people.

At that moment, each member of the group was in a deep sleep — until, suddenly, they all opened their eyes at the same time and looked up at the bright yellowish moon in the sky.

They all had the same question in their minds: "Is this a dream?"

Royal slowly looked around and saw that the others had made the same movement. He frowned and asked everyone:

"Am I dreaming?"

Everyone reacted with different expressions, but then Aran’s loud laughter broke the tense atmosphere:

"Ha-ha-ha-ha! Royal, I knew your arrogance was part of your nature, but to take it this far... It’s like I’d kill you all just for fun."

Royal looked at Aran and instantly realized that they were in the real world. After all, if he were dreaming right now, Aran would have turned into a rabbit he was planning to eat!

"You just imagined I’d turn into something, and then you’d do something to me, right?" Aran immediately saw through Royal’s strange gaze.

"..."

Paying him no further attention, Royal stood up from his place and said: freёnovelkiss-com

"The fact that we all woke up at the same moment is no coincidence. I suspect something is happening nearby, or perhaps..." he slowly pulled out the map from his white coat and pointed at the castle, "we’ll finally be able to find it."

"That’s a bold claim," Silia quickly stood up and asked:

"For several days, nothing happened to us, but now, on this particular day, we all woke up at the same time... because perhaps the castle shown on the map has appeared?"

Lin looked at the sky and saw the full moon.

"Interesting..."

"Look up," he said slowly and pointed to the moon.

Everyone followed Lin’s finger and looked up, seeing the full yellowish moon hanging in the dark sky, illuminating the world around them.

But the effect was minimal.

Royal frowned and seemed to realize something. He slowly took the map and unfolded it — pointing it at the moon.

"So that’s how it is..."

If before, the patterns on the map had been faded, now they were as bright as sparkling diamonds!

"This... is something we’re supposed to read?" Aran appeared beside Royal and looked with interest at the map, which now looked completely different after Royal pointed it at the moon.

"This is the language of this world... More precisely — magical script that resembles philosophical texts," Royal replied, watching each strange glyph with interest.

"So this is the key to reaching the castle?" Yulan asked, approaching Royal together with Lin, Egro, and Silia and looking at the map.

Royal nodded and slowly explained:

"I’ve studied many records from the Magic World and realized that Mages are quite reclusive people, willing to work with others like themselves for years. But they rarely deal with the outside world."

"It’s clear this castle belongs to a Mage who sealed specific coordinates of its location through magic, so only other Mages could detect his castle."

"So these magical writings contain the hidden coordinates of the castle?" Egro asked.

Royal nodded.

"In theory — yes. But in practice... we need to verify it."

Lin frowned and asked:

"And why did the map activate when you pointed it at the moon? If the Mage wanted regular people not to know about his castle, he could have made the activation work through Mana, since only Mages can possess it."

Royal shrugged and speculated:

"Magic in this world works under strange laws. Every manifestation of magic is a manifestation of something from nature. So, the full moon may be a representation of one aspect of a Mage’s power. Perhaps it symbolizes a powerful brightness even within the dark veil of night, or something like that."

"Anyway, we were very lucky. Most likely, the special power sealed within the map awakened all of us."

"So now we just need to follow what the map shows?" Aran asked.

Royal nodded.

"Of course. Magical writings aren’t hard to read, but to understand them — that’s pure suffering. I’ll need some time to decipher it, naturally with your help."

Everyone nodded and began working as a team to decode the map.

It wasn’t an easy task, so it took several hours before the group obtained the long-awaited coordinates.

"According to the map, we need to go that way," Royal pointed to his right and said.

"Then let’s go already!" Aran rushed ahead.

The others quickly followed him, beginning the journey to the Mage’s castle.

After covering a great distance, Royal stopped and pointed to his left.

"This way."

Everyone nodded and kept going.

On the horizon, the sun slowly began to rise, and the group continued their path to the castle.

"Stop," Royal halted everyone.

"Have we arrived?" Aran asked.

Royal looked around and, understanding something, said:

"It seems this is the place where a guest is supposed to arrive. From here, all we can do is wait until night so the map activates again."

"Will there be a full moon tonight?"

Royal shrugged.

"I don’t know. We can only hope."

Everyone nodded and went about their own tasks until nightfall.

At night, when the full yellowish moon hung over the world, Royal again pointed the map at it and saw intricate patterns.

At that very moment, the map flared with a bright blue light and engulfed everything within several dozen meters!

"Get ready!" — those were Royal’s last words.

Everyone nodded and waited for the so-called castle!

...

Lin slowly opened his eyes and looked around, realizing he was in a large bright hall, lit with so much light that it felt like a second sun!

He slowly stood up and looked at the other members of his group, who were just beginning to awaken.

"T-this..." Yulan looked around and felt like she was in the most luxurious room she had ever visited!

"Interesting... So this is the castle," Aran smiled and examined every part of the room with interest.

"Ha-ha. What a strange place," Egro simply smiled and looked around like a little boy with a new toy!

Silia didn’t say anything, but from her expression, it was clear that she too was shocked by this place.

"Since we’ve made it here successfully, I think we can move on!" Royal laughed.
