I Got Reincarnated as the Game's Villain-Chapter 45: The Truth of the Past[2]
In this world, there are four major races. However, a fifth race exists, though they are often disregarded because they are perceived as the most supreme beings currently alive, apart from the once-existing celestial gods and primordial evils. This race consists of dragons.
For the past twenty to thirty years, dragons have not been seen, though almost everyone knows where they are. It is suspected that they may have become extinct, similar to the dwarves, which could explain their absence. Yet, no one dares to verify this information, as stepping into the dragonic empire could spell doom for their race. It was rumored that the last dragonic emperor met his end and a new one had been crowned since then. However, due to the minimal information reaching other empires, the belief in their disappearance has only grown stronger.
The other main races include humans, elves, and vampires, while the dwarves have gone extinct. In their place, mermaids have emerged. There are also other races, like the Trydaqs and the Nyphtens, but these are considered minor races.
This world contains a vast continent that is home to multiple empires, but all these so-called empires are composed of the higher races. Thus, there are five primary empires: Dragonic, Azure, Elven, Hermix, and the underwater empire of Mermaidian. Unfortunately, most races harbor deep-seated animosities toward one another, making it rare to find allies among them.
During the battle for the extinction of the gods, the world was ripped into two halves. One half encompasses the continent, while the other remains a mystery, as no one has dared to venture there. This boundary is marked by an extremely deadly type of mana— the purest and most dense form of mana, ether. Due to its dangerously high purity and density, ingesting it could lead to instant mana combustion, which means certain death.
This situation created a boundary that keeps both sides of the world separated. However, rumors suggest that Aden’s Gate leads to the other part of the world, which may be where the academy is located.
The history of the academy is shrouded in mystery, known only to the highest powers of the world. Some believe its origins date back to the age of the gods. If that is true, it raises the question: what was the true motive behind the creation of the academy? This remains a mystery, even though many empires and lesser kingdoms have spies there.
Despite their efforts, these spies cannot discern what lies beyond the academy’s walls, as it is surrounded by a special boundary that makes it impossible to pry. This absence of information leaves them to speculate whether some of the students are from the other side of the world. Many of the academy’s students are considerably stronger than those from their own realms.

Besides that, the academy’s real intention, though hidden in mystery, is rumored to concern the re-emergence of a certain race—one believed to have been banished by the gods before the age of the extinction of the gods. This race allegedly challenged the celestial gods and was so powerful that even the dragons struggled against them.
This race is known as… the Kaleeds.

"No... No… Dwarves? That can’t be… No! That’s not even possible! Plus, the dwarves were only extinct ten years ago, and from what I discovered, the Ryquins existed way before that, dating back to the age of the godly extinction!" I retorted vehemently.
There was no way in hell I was going to accept that load of bullshit! Why the fuck does everything I know about this world seem to be just a lie? How can dwarves be the Ryquins?!
"Sigh," he sighed, then looked me straight in the eyes, placing the chronos lock back onto the table. "Don’t argue about things you know nothing about," he said, his tone grave as he rubbed his temples.
To this, I stared at him, bewildered. I just couldn’t fathom how any of this was even possible.
"Even from the age of godly extinction, those things you call Ryquins were once... living, breathing beings, most of them humans." He said, and I could only stare, trying to take in every single detail he said.
"It was a ritual—something the primordial evils devised to bolster their armies against the celestial gods since the rest of the world had turned against them as well." He looked over to a shadowed corner of the room, frowning at something hidden beyond my line of sight. Restrained by chains, I could barely shift to follow his gaze.
"That girl," he muttered, then turned to me. "Who did you come with?" he asked, to which I frowned.
"No one," I said, but he wasn’t taking any of it.
"I SAID WHO DID YOU COME WITH?!" he asked again.
"And I said no one, I came alone," I replied, confused by his actions.
"Then that only means you led her straight to me," he said, then rushed to another part of the dark room. He tapped something I couldn’t quite catch, and suddenly, I heard the sound of gears rolling.
It was just like back when I was in the tunnels.
"What’s happening?" I asked.
"THEY have come for me, and you led them straight to me!" he screamed, running about.
"Who is after you?" I asked, and then he finally stopped running.
"The ones responsible for all this," he said, then held his head and sat down. "There’s not much time, but I guess this was bound to happen at some point," he said, sitting down with a dampened expression.
"At least, tell me what all this is about," I said, trying to free myself.
"Fine. I will tell you everything. I will even give you what they are after, but I want you to make me one promise," he said, looking right into my eyes.
"...What do you want?" I asked.
"Find a place… and burn it to the ground. Only then will my brothers’ and sisters’ souls, and even my own, finally find peace."
