I Help the Richest Man Spend Money to Prevent Disasters-Chapter 485
Gu Ren met Ye Zhi since he was blind and had known her till he regained his sight. It was this girl who made him understand the meaning of light for the first time.
No matter where he went, he would find her, follow her and accompany her.
Gu Ren would prove his commitment towards her with his entire life.
***
Early morning.
Ye Zhi and Gu Ren sat and had breakfast together. There were many things on the table, all made by the chef according to the tastes of Gu Ren and Ye Zhi.
Strangely, Ye Zhi saw her favourite dishes displayed on the table, but for some reason, she didn’t have the appetite to eat.
Ye Zhi stirred her porridge a few times with a spoon but didn’t start eating.
Seeing that Ye Zhi wasn’t eating, Gu Ren narrowed his black eyes and asked, “Is it not suited to your taste?”
Ye Zhi shook her head and Gu Ren looked at her for a few seconds. Then, he turned his head to look at the housekeeper and said in a low voice, “Tomorrow, help the Madam…”
Ye Zhi immediately said, “No need, these are pretty good.”
Ye Zhi picked up the bowl and took small bites as she felt that her prior discomfort seemed to have disappeared. The porridge had a sweet fragrance and it was oddly comfortable as she felt the food go down her stomach.
Gu Ren had work in the morning, so he had to leave first.
Gu Ren walked to Ye Zhi’s side and bent down. His cold and fair hand gently touched Ye Zhi’s cheek, voice spoken with clarity.
“If you feel uncomfortable, be sure to let me know.”
After Gu Ren left, Ye Zhi stared at the things on the table in a daze.
For some reason, the smell of food that made Ye Zhi comfortable just now spread to the tip of her nose. Suddenly, she felt very nauseous.
Ye Zhi bent down suddenly, lowered her head and retched a few times.
The housekeeper asked with concern, “Young Madam, are you alright?”
Ye Zhi straightened up, and after a while, the uncomfortable feeling subsided again. Ye Zhi said, “No to worry, perhaps I didn’t sleep that well.”
This kind of situation had happened once before, but Ye Zhi didn’t take it to heart.
Ye Zhi remembered that she was going to attend the Shanghai Fashion Week soon and she had to pick out a dress first. Gu Ren had work, so he wasn’t able to accompany her.
Ye Zhi and her assistant went to a haute couture store together.
When they got there, Ye Zhi placed her hand on the car door and she held onto the door just as she was about to get out of the car. Before her feet touched the ground, she suddenly felt dizzy.
Ye Zhi sat back in the car and pressed her temples; only then did she feel the dizziness disappear.
Seeing that Ye Zhi’s expression was slightly amiss, the assistant asked worriedly, “What’s wrong?”
Ye Zhi also felt very strange— she had been very tired these days and felt that she couldn’t keep her spirits up. Ye Zhi shook her head, indicating that she was fine.
Ye Zhi walked into the store, which served her alone for the day.
Ye Zhi went upstairs and started to choose a dress. She took fancy to a long blue dress— the colour was light and elegant, but from the back, a slender waistline could be faintly revealed.
It was both sexy and elegant.
Ye Zhi picked out the dress and she was ready to pick up high heels. Ye Zhi looked over and there were numerous pairs of shoes, all of which were beautiful in style and design.
Ye Zhi didn’t know why but when she saw the high-heeled shoes, she felt a slight form of resistance in her heart.
When she wore some high heels to an event a few days ago, she felt a bit uncomfortable for some reason.
However, she couldn’t tell why she was uncomfortable. It was obvious that every time she attended an event before, she always wore high heels, so she was used to it.
