I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!-Chapter 51: The Moving Undercurrents
"Brother, no!!"
Just as the jaws of the beast were an inch away from Raiden’s face, they stopped.
Outwardly, Raiden had a composed face as he stared directly inside the jaws of the Terran that wanted to snap his head off, but on the inside,
’Holy shit!! Fuck!! Fuck!! Damn it Fuck!! I was this close to dying!!’
"Jason, you have become so daring to target my student directly in front of me, have you?" A cold voice sounded from behind the Terran, grabbing Raiden’s attention.
He stepped back to take a look at the situation and nearly got scared shitless for real.
Standing on top of the stage was Yuna, directly staring at Jacob’s father, while holding the huge dog by its nape. But that wasn’t the thing that scared him shitless. What scared him was the Terra Beast standing on stage.
Standing over 100 Meters Tall, with blue energy flashing in its eyes, it was fucking Godzirra!!
This was the first time Raiden had seen a Platinum Terran in Action, and just the size alone was too intimidating, not to mention the sheer pressure it was giving off.
"That boy tried to kill my son!!" Jason screamed in anger.
"He broke no rules. It was solely your son’s fault. And even if he did try to kill your son, so what? Who gave you the right to take matters into your own hands? Do you dare to kill one of my students in front of me?" Yuna growled back as her Terra Beast roared, sending out shockwaves rolling across the whole venue, uprooting tents and furniture as everyone scrambled to hide from it.
Feeling the deterrence, Jason’s eyes were filled with hatred as he stared at Raiden.
"This is not over, boy!! Better watch your back wherever you are going!!" Jason threatened him.
"Heh, who is scared of you, old bastard. If I were you, I would have taken my son for treatment instead of yapping so much. Otherwise, you would really end up losing a son." Raiden, who now found a backing, hid behind Yuna as he shouted the words at Jason, leaving her speechless.
"YOU—" Jason gritted his teeth as he glared at the duo on stage, before looking fearfully at Godzirra like a monster.
With a wave of his hands, he grabbed his son and his Terra Beast before disappearing from the venue, taking his own Terran with him.
"That’s right, run away, you old bastard!!" Raiden shouted gleefully.
As soon as the man disappeared, Yuna turned around and pinched Raiden’s ear, pulling on it hard.
"Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, Ouch!! Miss Yuna, please let me go!!" Raiden started begging.
"You brat!! Don’t think I don’t know what you did. Acting like that can get you killed, especially when you have no power of your own. I am only covering for you because of your sister. Don’t expect me to do it again." Yuna warned strictly.
"That dude insulted my parents and even threatened to go after Sylvia. You don’t expect me to stand there and take it, do you?" Raiden fired back.
"What if I wasn’t here to save you? You’d be dead right now. Remember, the only thing you can trust in this world is yourself."
"Big Brother!!" Just then, Sylvia emerged from the crowd, panic written all over her face.
She directly threw herself at him, her eyes wet from little tears.
"Hey there, little Sylvi~ Did you see how dashing your big brother was on stage?"
Hearing his words, Sylvia felt even angrier.
"Jerk!! Stupid!! Idiot!! Why do you have to go around provoking others?!" She started beating him up with her little fists.
"Ouch, ouch, cut it out!! I am perfectly fine, aren’t I? You can check for yourself." Raiden spread his hands wide in an exaggerated gesture.
"Pfft—" Seeing his antics, a smile broke out on her face.
Just then, both of Sylvia’s friends also came running.
"Big brother Raiden, you were so cool in the tournament!! Can I have an autograph?" Cindy smiled flirtatiously.
"Haha, thank you, thank you. You want my autograph, right? Sure, where do you want it?" Raiden asked casually.
Hearing this, Cindy grinned before pulling out a marker and opening the top two buttons of her shirt.
"Sign here~"
*Cough Cough Cough*
Raiden started coughing badly as he watched the bold little girl. Where did she get the confidence to be this bold at such a young age?
"Alright, you brats. Enough, get moving from the stage now. Everything is a mess. I need to go and coordinate everything once again so the competition continues." Yuna cut in between, impatience written all over her face.
Raiden wanted to point out it was her Terra Beast who was responsible for this mess, but thought better of it.
"Teacher Yuna, thank you for saving my brother. You are the best." Sylvia grabbed her hand and started wheedling around, her tone super sweet.
A smile came on Yuna’s face as she acted this way.
"Haha, don’t worry about it, little Sylvi~ Also, how many times I’ve told you, call me sister Yuna!~ Come, I brought an ice cream for you to try." She grabbed her hand affectionately and led her away.
Seeing them go away, Raiden let out a huge sigh of relief before he started looking around for Woolie, wondering where he was. Soon, he found it, standing at the foot of the massive Terran that was Yuna’s partner.
"Woo Woolie Woo Wool!!" Hey big guy!! You kind of look strong!! How about a fight?! The winner will become the Emperor!! ( •̀ ω •́ )y
Hearing his words, Raiden got the fright of a lifetime, as he rushed towards Woolie, picking him up as fast as he could, clamping his hand over his mouth.
"Haha, big guy, don’t mind him. He is just a child. Hahaha..." He laughed awkwardly while trying to hold the struggling Woolie in his hands.
"Girl. She is a girl, not a guy." Yuna appeared near Raiden without knowing, rubbing her hand over its foot, which was bigger than Raiden’s whole body.
"Thank you for today, girl. Get a good rest for now." Yuna patted her Terran.
Raiden watched in amazement as the beast roared soundlessly before disappearing from the spot.
In the commentary booth, Harry’s voice returned, shakier than before: "Well, ladies and gentlemen... that was certainly something. The competition will resume momentarily, per the head supervisor’s orders."
-----------------------------
"How is he?" An unknown cold-looking man in a black suit and red tie approached Jason, putting one hand on Jason’s shoulder, as they both peered inside an operating room, where Jacob was undergoing surgery.
"The doctor said he’ll pull through, but it will take 1 month for him to heal completely," Jason spoke in a pained voice.
"Big brother, I want revenge!! I want to kill that boy!! I want to get rid of his whole family!! I want to torture him myself!! My soul won’t be satisfied otherwise." Jason stared directly in the man’s eyes, all bloodshot red.
"Don’t worry. You’ll have your revenge soon enough. I found out everything about that boy from Leon. He is just a no-name orphan. But we can’t afford to offend that woman right now. As soon as the competition is over, I promise you that I will bring you his head myself." The man grabbed the back of Jason’s head, staring directly into his eyes as he promised.
Jason nodded at his words, as the hospital corridor went silent once again, with only faint sounds coming from the operating theatre...
