I opened a shop on the Astral Train-Chapter 106
Chapter 106 - 106
Kevin looked at the title that Kiana got and suddenly felt that his title, "King of Trash Cans," wasn't that great anymore.
"Yuri, can I upgrade my title?"
Yuri shook his head.
"Nope. What, are you not satisfied? What more do you want? You have an unconditional 5% strength boost.
There's no cap on it—no matter how strong you get, even if you reach the level where you can blow up a planet with a single punch, it'll still be useful."
Kevin thought about it and realized that his 5% strength boost was indeed quite overpowered.
He felt a little better.
March 7th and Ying looked at Kevin and Kiana, feeling a bit envious. They wanted to try for a title too, just for fun.
March 7th asked Yuri.
"Yuri, can regular trash cans give out titles too?"
Yuri shook his head.
"No, the cheapest title starts at 660,000 Stellar Jade, while regular trash cans cap out at 500,000."
Ying and March 7th looked at each other and decided to do ten consecutive draws each.
They bought golden trash cans and returned to the lawn, lining them up in neat rows.
March 7th grinned.
"Ying, you go first."
Paimon rubbed her hands together, muttering under her breath.
"Something delicious, something delicious, let me get something delicious!"
Ying grabbed Paimon by the ears.
"Great! You're jinxing me! If I don't get a title, I'll cook you!"
Paimon paled and quickly changed her tune.
"I wish you a title! I wish you a title!"
Everyone laughed at Paimon's desperate attempt to avoid getting turned into dinner.
Rolling her eyes at Paimon, Ying took a deep breath and opened all ten cans at once.
Golden light flashed ten times.
9 pick-up cards appeared:
3 for 1,000 tons of rice
4 for 200 tons of beef and mutton
1 for 500 tons of vegetables
1 for 500 tons of fruit
Luckily, there was also a wooden plaque—the sign of a title.
Excited, Ying sprinted over and picked up the title plaque, while Paimon silently stashed away the nine pick-up cards.
Ying read the words on the wooden sign.
[Dizziness Resistant]
Ying turned to Yuri with an unimpressed expression.
Yuri explained.
"This one is pretty common. It increases your resistance to dizziness by 50%."
Ying sighed. It felt a little underwhelming.
But then she shrugged—after all, a title was still a title. She crushed it.
Above her head, glowing white letters appeared:
[Dizziness Resistant]
March 7th watched with interest.
"Looks like getting a title isn't too hard."
Kevin, standing nearby, widened his eyes and silently pulled out a thick stack of pick-up cards.
"March, do you want to take a look at this before making that statement?"
March 7th glanced at Kevin's massive stack of pick-up cards and broke into a nervous sweat.
"Oh... uh..."
She turned back to her row of golden trash cans.
"I hope I get one too!"
She opened all ten at once.
Ten beams of light flashed, revealing eight pick-up cards, a wooden title plaque, and a golden figurine.
March 7th cheered.
"Haha! I got one too!"
She ran over and picked up the title plaque, reading the words aloud.
[Sharpshooter]
She equipped it immediately.
Yuri explained its effects.
"This increases your accuracy by 50% when using a bow. It's worth 700,000 Stellar Jade—not bad at all.
Your best pull, though, is that golden figurine."
Yuri picked up the golden doll. frёewebηovel.cѳm
"This is called an Undying Totem. Wearing it grants you immunity to death once.
If you suffer a fatal attack, it will restore your health and provide temporary buffs.
However, it only works on those below the level of a Star God."
A hush fell over the group. Everyone turned to stare.
Kevin was dumbfounded.
"Wait, these trash cans can drop something this overpowered?!"
Yuri handed the Undying Totem to March 7th, who took it with shaking hands, still in shock.
"What are you waiting for? Take it," Yuri said with a grin.
March 7th finally snapped out of it and took the totem.
Himeko removed a pin from her collar and attached the Undying Totem to March 7th's jacket.
"March, I'll make you a proper necklace for it once we're back on the train."
March 7th smiled brightly.
"Thanks, Himeko!"
After playing on the lawn for a while, everyone returned to the train.
Xiangling, Guoba, and Noel were already preparing ingredients for a meal.
Seeing this, Yuri and Mei rolled up their sleeves and joined in to help.
Himeko took March 7th's Undying Totem and crafted it into a proper necklace for her.
Meanwhile, Kafka, Liuying, Kevin, and March 7th were busy moving supplies.
Silver Wolf opened an ether portal.
On the other side, Elliot was struggling to control the transport robot Silver Wolf had sent to help pack Kafka and Silver Wolf's luggage.
There was no other choice—Elliot was the only cat in the entire base, and without help, moving all the luggage would be a nightmare.
Since Elliot was too small, Silver Wolf had thoughtfully sent a transport robot along.
Kafka and Liuying were on the phone with Elliot, giving instructions.
"Elliot, don't forget all my coats."
"Elliot, make sure to bring the group photos from my bedside, and the album of me and Kevin."
Elliot rolled up the phone with his tail as he walked toward Kafka's room.
"Yeah, yeah, I got it. Coats, right? I'll bring them all.
Don't worry, I won't damage your pictures."
Elliot opened Kafka's closet.
And froze.
The phone dropped from his tail.
The entire closet was packed with coats.
The worst part?
The closet was massive—ten meters long, three meters high, and had two levels.
Elliot glanced at the closet.
Then at himself.
Then back at the closet.
Hehehe...
Hahahaha...
Elliot collapsed onto the floor, staring at the ceiling in despair.
Why did I promise to do this?
His ears twitched as Liuying's voice came from the phone.
Sighing heavily, Elliot rolled back onto his feet and picked up the phone.
"Alright, alright... I'll start packing..."
Muttering to himself, Elliot padded over to the closet, utterly defeated.
He had thought it would be just a few coats.
He was so, so wrong.
After five system hours, Elliot collapsed onto the ground, his chest rising and falling heavily. Every cell in his body screamed with exhaustion.
The transport robot could carry things, but it couldn't pack them!
Kafka and Liuying had repeatedly told him to pack everything carefully to prevent damage from bumps during the journey.
Elliot rested for a while, lying in the now-empty base.
He looked around—it was so quiet he could hear a pin drop.
Feeling restless, Elliot sat on the sofa and turned on the TV, but even that didn't help. Something was missing.
After thinking for a moment, he realized what it was.
Silver Wolf, Liuying, Kafka, and Blade were missing.
In the past, they would always gather in the living room at night.
Liuying and Silver Wolf would sit on the sofa playing games, Kafka would hold Elliot in her arms while browsing shopping apps, and Blade would quietly sit nearby.
Sighing, Elliot turned off the TV, walked to the entrance of the base, and boarded his cat-shaped spaceship.
The spaceship swayed as it took off, heading toward the star field where Penacony was located.
On the train, Yuri and the others had a casual meal together. The train was relatively empty now—Liyue, Xianzhou, and Mondstadt's groups had all returned home.
After dinner, everyone returned to their rooms to rest.
Kevin and March 7th happily moved into their new home. Kevin placed the cave compass on the ground near the entrance to Yuri's shop, next to the baseball bat. Beside it, the spatial rift leading to the cave flickered faintly.
Kevin and March 7th spent several hours setting up their rooms.
To furnish their new home, they contacted Topaz, who used her connections to order furniture from the Interstellar Peace Company.
Topaz symbolically charged them a few credits—after all, the furniture wasn't worth much in the grand scheme of things.
After setting up, Kevin ate, then returned to his room. Standing by the window, he admired the view.
He had carved out a floor-to-ceiling window by clearing away the surrounding trees, giving himself an unobstructed view of the landscape.
Kevin grabbed a bottle of iced cola from the fridge and placed it on a small table. Sitting on the carpet, he took a deep sip.
The bubbles danced in his mouth, leaving a refreshing chill.
But as he gazed outside, he realized something—the world beyond his window was too quiet.
Only trees and grass stretched endlessly.
"I should go to Yuri's shop tomorrow and buy some small animals. Otherwise, this place is too lifeless."
He played on his phone for a while, then lay down on his large, comfortable bed.
After so long, he could finally sleep soundly in a proper bed.
Before long, he drifted into a deep slumber.
Meanwhile, Yuri and Himeko quietly opened the door to the room where the six little ones were sleeping.
A dim nightlight beeped softly on the center table, casting a warm glow throughout the room.
To the right of the entrance was Qiqi's bed.
Qiqi was sleeping peacefully, but—as always—she had kicked off her quilt in the night.
Smiling, Yuri gently pulled the quilt over her again. The moment he did, she kicked it off once more.
Yuri chuckled, shaking his head, and covered her up again.
Himeko walked over to Hook's bed. The moment she approached, Hook stirred, rubbing her eyes sleepily.
"Mmm~ Sister Himeko? Why aren't you asleep yet?"
Himeko smiled, patting Hook's little head.
"It's nothing. Yuri and I just came to check on you. Now go back to sleep—you're going to Belobog tomorrow, remember?"
Hook yawned, nodding drowsily.
She lay back down, smacked her lips a few times, and drifted off once more.
Yuri and Himeko checked on the other four little ones, ensuring they were all covered properly, before quietly leaving the room.
Every night, Yuri and Himeko would check in on them to make sure they were sleeping well.
The next morning, after breakfast, Yuri and the others stepped through a portal to Belobog.
Today, Yuri planned to take the six little ones to the ice deer farm.
Yesterday, Honkai Bronya had sent a message saying the first batch of ice deer had fully matured and invited them to come and try the meat.
The group for this trip included Yuri, Himeko, Welt, Topaz, Jing Yuan, and the six little ones.
Kevin, Amber, and Eula were assigned to a reconnaissance mission in the snowy mountains.
Ying and Paimon were heading to Inazuma from Liyue today.
Kevin and March 7th decided to continue decorating the cave, adding some small animals to liven up the place.
They had even roped Dan Heng into helping as a consultant.
Upon arriving in Belobog's Underworld, Yuri's group was greeted by an unusual sight—Clara was testing a Gundam.
Svarog had captured a few world-class monsters for her to practice on.
Clara leaped forward, reaching for the massive sword strapped to the back of her mech.
"Ha!"
The powerful, imposing machine swung its blade with precision, effortlessly slicing through multiple Flame Disasters and Burning Shadows.
Yet, despite the overwhelming power of the Gundam, the voice that echoed from it was still Clara's soft, delicate one.
Clara cheered, bouncing over to Svarog.
"Mr. Svarog! Clara did it!"
Svarog's eyes flashed red for a moment.
"Congratulations, Clara. You performed well."
Clara blushed at the praise, rubbing the back of her head shyly.
Yuri and the others watched the scene in amusement.
Seeing such a fearsome, battle-ready mech act like an excited little girl was... surreal.
Yuri waved.
"Clara! Svarog!"
The two turned around, surprised by the call.
When Clara saw it was Yuri, her face lit up.
She quickly removed the control helmet of Family No. 2 and ran toward them.
"Brother Yuri! Why are you here today?"
Yuri's gaze shifted down to her feet—she wasn't wearing shoes.
Previously, he had bought her plenty of shoes and jade accessories.
"Clara, why aren't you wearing the shoes I got you?"
Clara glanced at her feet, then stuck out her tongue playfully.
"I was so excited to test Family No. 2 that I forgot."
Yuri sighed, buying a pair of snow boots from the system and handing them to her.
"Here. Put these on. You can't just run around on the icy ground barefoot."
Clara scratched her head with an embarrassed smile before slipping on the boots.
"By the way, big brother Yuri, you still haven't told me why you're in Belobog today!"
Yuri chuckled, ruffling her hair.
"Bronya invited us. She said the first batch of ice deer have fully matured, so we came to check them out."
Topaz nodded.
"Yeah, I pre-ordered one too. I'm here to pick it up."
Clara's eyes widened in realization.
"Oh! That makes sense! Sister Bronya should already be there."
Yuri raised an eyebrow.
"Oh? And how do you know that?"
Clara's face turned slightly pink.
"Because... um... the ice deer have been giving birth lately."
Yuri coughed awkwardly.
"Svarog, can you call a transport robot? Let's get moving before Clara overhears anything she doesn't want to."
