I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game-Chapter 62: Be in Your Place.
A scream fell into his ears before he could even open the door’s handle.
"AHHHH!!!! SYNTHIA STOPPPPP!!!!"
His hand froze, body trembled slightly as goosebumps appeared on his skin.
’That... I can’t even imagine what’s going on inside there.’
’Synthia... she’s the biggest troublemaker, I can’t even comprehend the things that she can do.’
His mind replayed all of the incidents that he encountered with Synthia.
He took a deep breath as he gathered enough strength to finally enter the tower.
He twisted the handle, pulling the door open.
It snapped the instant the door slid open, the broken piece dropping into his palm as his expression darkened.
A thought curled up in his mind as he looked at the broken handle.
’They didn’t fix it? Why is it still broken?’
’Let’s leave it... and enter inside.’
He finally took his first step inside. The moment he entered, a cushion came flying toward his face, landing with a loud THAK!
The cushion fell on the ground, a small bright red mark left behind on his face as he groaned. "Ugh!!"
He noticed that Amon was on the ground, back resting on the floor, and on top of him was Synthia.
Her grip was on Amon’s hair, pulling it slightly.
Tears welled up in Amon’s eyes as he simply groaned.
Leon stood there; he didn’t dare to move or speak. ’What the hell’s going on here!?’
Synthia’s head rose as her gaze fell on Leon.
A bright, warm smile spread across her face as she stood up and walked toward Leon.
Her steps were cheerful, yet steady.
"Newbieee~ Ragnarrr~" she said, stopping right before him.
A smile curled up on Leon’s face, and he waved his hands slightly. "Hey, senior," he took a small pause.
And then continued. "I saw that you have caused trouble for senior Amon and senior Max." He said.
She sucked her cheeks as a small pout tucked her lips. "It’s not like that, we were just playing."
Her head twisted slightly, looking at Amon, who was still on the ground.
"We were just playing, right, senior Amon!!" She asked, but her tone wasn’t pleasant.
Amon got up instantly, sat on his knees as he said. "Y-yes, we were just playing... she didn’t cause any trouble for Max and me." He chuckled nervously, scratching his cheek slightly.
Leon chuckled lightly and said. "I see, it’s nice to hear that senior Synthia didn’t trouble you."
"Because if she did, then I would have to take responsibility... after all, it was me who brought her in here with me."
"Right, senior Synthia?" He said, looking at her through the side of his eye.
She nodded nervously, and a small trail of sweat rolled down her cheeks. "Y-Yes, newbie."
Leon crossed his arms and nodded a few times. "Senior, we’ll be leaving for the main branch in a few hours."
"I have something that I need to ask the tower master." He said.
"Ask big sister Valexeria?" She tilted her head lightly and continued. "What is it, newbie?" She questioned, her tone confused.
He shook his head lightly and closed his eyes. "That’s not something that I can share with you." He said.
’I can’t reveal her personal family matters to Synthia. If I tell her, then the whole world will get to know about it.’
He opened his eyes, his gaze shifted towards Amon. "Senior, I had to tell you something."
Amon stood back up. His demeanor changed, and his presence seemed more serious than before.
"What is it, Ragnar?" He said, deepness buried inside his voice.
"The issue regarding the Moon Knights and Sword Knights has been resolved," Leon said, his eyes staring right into Amon’s eyes.
"What? How did it get resolved?"
"Did you join the battle? Don’t try to hide the truth from me, Ragnar." He said, seriousness dripping through his voice.
He took a step forward, his eyes seeming to look into Leon’s very soul.
His pupils transformed, a strange purple scanner forming within them.
"Master, he’s using a weird skill. He’s looking into your mana core." Darian said, his voice deep.
’Oh? That’s definitely amusing...’
’Hmm... so he is trying to know if I’m lying or not?’
’Very well, I didn’t intend to lie about it in the first place.’
"Yes, I did join the battle from the side of the Sword Faction." He said.
"It’s not like I worked for them for free. I took a commission from them; I know the rules of ours... we don’t work for free."
"And don’t you think it’s better? No one is willing to give us any work because of our reputation." He said, his gaze didn’t waver from Amon even for a second.
Amon’s eyes remained unmoved by his words. There was no reaction; there was no sensation he could detect.
"You’re telling the truth, but—"
A voice cut through Amon’s words, joining the conversation.
"Don’t you think you’re forgetting your place, newcomer Ragnar?" Someone said, the noise of their steps filling the chamber.
Leon’s eyes shifted towards that man, but he remained silent.
Amon stepped towards the man. "Max, that’s not the right way to talk to a member of our tower." He said.
Max didn’t listen to him; his eyes remained locked on Leon. "Did you hear me, newcomer Ragnar?"
Leon didn’t reply for a while, but finally muttered. "I know my place very well, Senior Max."
"But I’m not lying, am I?" He said.
Max stared at him for a while, then said. "I’ll let you off this time because the tower master likes you a little."
"But don’t belittle our tower." He said as he turned towards his room and started walking.
"If I wanted to belittle our tower, then I wouldn’t have separated the money to use for our tower’s growth," Leon said.
’In total, I got 100000 solars, and separated 30000 of them to use for the tower’s growth.’
’If the tower remains the same and our reputation doesn’t change, then I won’t be able to get high-level quests.’
