Small pieces of the door fell on the ground; it had been cut into several small pieces by Darian.

His grip loosened as he let go of him, his gaze shifted towards Darian as he said. "Are you done?"

Darian’s gaze moved towards Leon instantly as he gave a small nod. "Yes, my liege." He said, kneeled.

The instant his words fell silent, the massive metallic door behind him cut open.

Fine cuts appeared across its surface, then it collapsed, fragments crashing onto the ground with a loud THUD.

"No need to do the formalities," Leon said, gesturing for him to get back up.

But the other two, their body trembled with fear as they tried their best not look into Darian’s gaze.

"L-Leon... what should we do now?" Cain asked, voice shaky.

Leon didn’t say anything; he just walked towards the door. But then, his voice filled the entire chamber. "Isn’t it obvious? Of course, we’ll make our way out of here." He said.

He made his way through the freshly cut metallic door, reaching into a vast space.

This chamber was huge, even bigger than the previous one. The light wasn’t dim anymore; multiple lanterns were fixed along the walls.

Huge boxes were kept in the corners of the chamber, and in the centre, a large space was left. However, the floor was stained with blood.

His eyes moved from one corner to another, scanning the entire room as his steps stopped. ’This thing is getting more complicated... blood marks on the ground, huge boxes.’

’What’s this place even about? If you look at it as a normal human, it’ll seem like a huge factory, but it isn’t.’

A sigh left through his mouth.

Synthia entered the chamber, her usual demeanour returned as she quickly made her way towards Leon.

"Newbie, can we leave now?" She said.

She was trying her best to control the curiosity regarding the necromancy, and a fake twisted smile was on her face.

’She’s not in her right mind, that smile is fake... and the shock which she got after the reveal hasn’t cooled down yet.’

"I have an important thing which I should do before we leave this place." He said, his gaze shifted towards Darian.

Darian walked toward Leon, his steps steady. Cain was in his grip. Darian’s hand was gripping the collar of Cain’s T-Shirt.

Cain’s skin had turned completely pale, body was completely drenched in sweat.

A thought curled up inside Leon’s mind.

’You’re overdoing it, Darian... that kid will die because of the fear.’

"Let him be on his own," Leon said.

Darian gave a polite nod; his grip loosened as Cain fell on the ground.

"OUCH!!" His senses returned the moment pain shot through his body.

Leon ignored all of them and scratched the bottom of his chin slightly. ’I don’t feel the mana of Sylphaine... where did she go?’

He made his way towards the centre of the chamber, his steps were steady.

The moment he reached there, everything seemed normal. Boxes were still there, dried blood remained on the floor, nothing suspicious.

But the moment the other three began to move, a massive stream of light rays shot straight toward Leon’s body.

His eyes widened, lips parted as a shadow sword appeared inside his grip.

Darian took a stance as he withdrew his sword and dashed forward toward Leon.

More waves of light shot toward Leon, this time coming from all possible directions.

Leon raised his hand, directed it towards Darian as he said. "Stop, don’t move even a single inch."

"It applies to both of you as well." He said, looking at them.

Synthia gulped and gave a small nod. Cain was still not in his senses, but he still followed the instructions given by Leon.

The moment they stopped, no movement occurred inside the chamber. The light rays that had been shooting toward Leon began to disappear one by one.

A smirk curled up on his lips as he muttered under his breath. "Interesting,"

He lifted one of his legs up in the air and tried to move it further.

And the moment he did that, the light waves returned as they covered his body entirely.

"Hmm, I’m stuck here." He said.

"Stuck? What do you mean by that, newbie?" Synthia asked, and a confused expression appeared on her face.

"It’s most probably a trap; if I try to move or do something, the light waves come back."

"And it also happens when any of you try to move. The only one in danger is me, the one who’s standing in the centre of the room." He said.

"How can I help you, my liege?" Darian asked, not moving even a single inch.

"Even if you want to help, there’s nothing you can do. It’ll be best if you just stand there and try not to move."

’I have skill books... I’ll consume them, and I just hope that I get an agility skill.’
