I Received Messages From Future Self!-Chapter 187 - : Again?
Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Again?
“Princess Your Highness, the message you wanted to spread has already been disseminated on the dark web as per your request,” Tom said as he closed his small laptop and looked towards Fang Xiaocao, reporting to her.
“Hmm, well done!”
Upon hearing Tom’s words, Fang Xiaocao nodded.
“Princess Your Highness, you should rest,”
“I’ll stay on guard, no one can harm you!”
“Also, check if there’s any information on the people listed here on the dark web.”
Tom looked at Fang Xiaocao, who was showing signs of fatigue, and spoke with a smile.
“Hmm, that’s very kind of you.”
Fang Xiaocao nodded and responded with a smile.
“Oh!”
“Tom, come here!”
“Let’s divide the weapons.”
Fang Xiaocao walked to the bedroom door and saw the guns and daggers on the bed and shouted to Tom.
“Oh?”
“What weapons?”
At her words, Tom paused, curiously asking.
Saying this, Tom got up and walked over.
When Tom saw the guns and daggers on the bed, he paused again and then his eyes showed a spark of interest.
“Princess Your Highness, where did you get these weapons?”
Tom asked curiously.
While saying this, Tom walked up to the bed, picked up one of the black daggers, and began examining its craftsmanship as he turned it over in his hands.
“From that briefcase!”
“This briefcase belonged to an assassin known as Taotie, listed on the Blacklist,”
Fang Xiaocao did not hide this from Tom and told him the truth.
Upon hearing Fang Xiaocao’s words, Tom raised an eyebrow.
“Princess Your Highness, these are some fine items!”
“These black daggers, custom-made for a hefty price, can cut through iron as if it were mud and are extremely durable. Just this dagger alone is worth tens of thousands of US dollars.”
Tom played lovingly with the black dagger, visibly excited.
Upon hearing Tom’s words, Fang Xiaocao was taken aback.
“Just this old dagger is worth tens of thousands of US dollars?”
Fang Xiaocao asked, looking bewildered.
“That’s right!”
“And the two guns are also custom-made.”
“Powerful, high capacity, lightweight, and precise.”
Tom picked up one of the guns from the bed, swiftly dismantling and reassembling it, and then said to Fang Xiaocao.
“These guns are also worth tens of thousands of US dollars?”
Fang Xiaocao blinked, curiously asking.
“That’s right!”
“These two guns and the two daggers are all made by the same weapons company, and together, they’re worth around sixty thousand US dollars,” Tom said, smiling.
“Sheesh— it’s like opening a treasure chest!”
Fang Xiaocao said with a chuckle.
“Let’s divide the weapons!”
Fang Xiaocao said, still smiling.
As she spoke, Fang Xiaocao picked up a dagger and handed it to Tom.
Tom didn’t refuse, as he didn’t have many weapons he could use anymore, he truly needed to replenish his equipment.
Tom took the black dagger and clipped its sheath onto his belt.
He also stuffed the gun and its holster into his jacket.
Fang Xiaocao then picked up three magazines and handed them to Tom, who accepted them and put them in his pocket.
Fang Xiaocao took the remaining black dagger, clipped the sheath onto her belt, and kept the handgun and magazines in her bag.
“Princess Your Highness, you should rest now!”
Tom spoke to Fang Xiaocao, then turned and walked out of the bedroom.
Fang Xiaocao closed the bedroom door and lay down on the bed.
As she lay there, drowsiness quickly overcame her.
It wasn’t long before Fang Xiaocao had fallen deeply asleep.
“Bang bang bang~”
She didn’t know how long she had slept when a violent knocking woke her up.
She lay in bed, shaking her dazed head.
She hastened her brain’s process of waking up.
“Bang bang bang~”
The knocking sounded again, and Xiaocao swiftly sat up, grabbing the short-handled axe by her side.
Xiaocao jumped up from the bed, barefoot, clutching the short-handled axe, and made her way to the door.
“Tom?”
Xiaocao tentatively asked.
“Princess Your Highness, it’s me!”
Tom’s voice came from outside the door.
“Phew…”
Hearing Tom’s voice, Fang Xiaocao breathed a sigh of relief.
“What happened?”
She put down the short-handled axe, getting dressed while asking.
Picking up her cellphone from beside her, she glanced at the time and saw that it was already evening.
“Princess Your Highness, it seems that we are being watched.”
Tom’s voice came from outside the door.
Hearing Tom’s words, a jolt went through Xiaocao.
Xiaocao quickly changed her clothes, took the handgun and magazine from her bag, placed them on her person for easy access.
She then reached for the bedroom door and asked, “What’s going on?”
“Princess Your Highness, while you were sleeping, I hacked into the hotel’s surveillance system and have been monitoring it, noticing that, during this period, several people have been lingering outside our door.”
“Just now, someone even posed as a hotel room service staff member and knocked on our door.”
Tom said seriously.
Hearing Tom’s words, Fang Xiaocao frowned, instinctively thinking it was someone from the Blacklist.
Their modus operandi matched the tactics used in previous Blacklist attempts to assassinate her.
“It must be someone from the Blacklist!”
“We may be in trouble!”
Xiaocao spoke gravely.

“Princess Your Highness, I’ll protect you and see you out!”
Hearing Xiaocao’s words, Tom immediately began packing, preparing to leave with Xiaocao.
“It’s too late now; leaving is not safe. Once outside, it would be easy to be shot at surreptitiously.”
“It might be better to stay in the room and wait for them to come to us.”
“In the room, we can use it as cover to engage with them.”
“This is a downtown area; they cannot have heavy weapons, nor dare use firearms or bombs.”
“The moment they use such weapons, police would quickly be on their way.”
Fang Xiaocao, frowning, pondered for a moment before speaking to Tom.
Hearing Xiaocao’s plan, Tom momentarily paused.
Frowning in thought for a while, Tom nodded, agreeing with Xiaocao’s analysis.
“Then I’ll get ready!”
Tom said and placed the items he had packed on the coffee table, opened his cellphone, accessed the hotel surveillance, and began setting up various traps using whatever materials were available.
Xiaocao wasn’t idle either; she opened the window to ensure they could jump out and escape at any moment.
She also took one of the short-handled axes off herself, placing it on the table.
This axe was meant for Tom’s use.
Xiaocao sat on the sofa, toying with her own axe, waiting for the people from the Blacklist to come knocking.
This was bound to be a sleepless night.
A fierce battle was up next.
Meanwhile, she pondered how the people from the Blacklist had found her so quickly.
Especially since this time, she hadn’t checked in with her own ID but had used Tom’s passport instead.
